This is a great place for groups, big families, or anyone grabbing a meal who may not have made reservations elsewhere. Menu is diverse so even a picky eater can find something they like.
The food was delicious and it was easy to determine what I could safely eat as a celiac. It was very hard to hear the others in my group.
We went for the Mother's Day Brunch. It was the perfect time of day. The only thing I would like to see is maybe at least one other fish/ seafood selection as I don't eat much meat.
The Mother’s Day brunch offered a great variety of foods. Food was seasoned nicely and everything was very tasty.
The Mother’s Day buffet was very good. All of the buffet items were delicious and constantly replenished. The music provided by Moss Stanley was an added bonus. Our server was attentive and helpful.
So good we’ve been back several times. Everything about the experience has been great every time! Love it!!!
The entire family had a wonderful time at Pickwick & Frolic for their Mother's Day brunch. The food was excellent and the service was even better! The restaurant was less crowded than last year which allowed us to take our time and enjoy the full experience without feeling overwhelmed. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every request. My only wish would be for more seafood options on the menu next year. We will be back!
Enjoyable, huge food offering, tasty but a little pricey. One can only eat so much.
Excellent Mother's Day Brunch
Sausage Party was amazing. Scallops, Filet Mignon and the Prime Rib is superior and the drinks were stronger than average and tasty. Doing dinner before a comedy show is as good as it gets.
My wife and I made our reservations for 5:15 through open table easily. Seated at 5:12. We enjoyed a nice appetizer of calamari. Then our main course meals. All came in a timely manner and tasted great. Nice portions at a reasonable price. We saved just enough room for a cocktail. Then casually walked over to be seated for the show by 6:30 for a 7:00 show at Hilarities.
Second time I have been here. Great service & food, once again. Tried something different this time - their prime rib was excellent.
Definitely recommend it to everyone I know.
Reservations help if you want to grab a bite to eat before an event.
We were treated so well, everyone was so attentive and accommodating. Food was great, service, and the show was fun too.
Good food and service
The food choices and food quality were both excellent. It would nice, however, if the dessert choices were much more extensive. I was disappointed in the lack of available selections. With 2 of the dessert options being ice cream, that leaves only a couple other basic choices on a very short dessert menu.
Our experience at P & FR was beyond expectations! Can't wait for our next visit there.
Atmosphere was great. Service was good. Food was disappointing. I was told the balsamic vinaigrette was made in house and my taste buds told me otherwise. It had that unmistakable low fat commercial dressing taste. My asparagus was bitter and tough. My friend’s prime rib was served well done when medium was requested. The replacement was medium well because that is all that was remaining (at 7 pm).
The service was very good. The menu was fairly varied and accommodated most dining tastes. Preparation time was efficient. Overall, a goo value.
We had a very good brunch. Food was fresh and very flavorful. Service also was very good. We’ll definitely return!
My family and I went there for Easter brunch and were absolutely blown away by the food. The amount of food and variety was tremendously and everything was cooked to perfection. The food was truly out of this world and it made for a very special Easter brunch. Thank you so much!
Extensive Easter brunch- great variety, comfortable environment
Great food selection accommodates everyone's life style. The food note cards.. great idea ..removes the guess work for gluten, vegan and dairy customers. Service and food, as usual, was outstanding
Special Note: The salad bar items are always fresh, pasta dishes were great, my favorite was the chicken pasta dish. Salmon was cook to perfection. The owner adds such a special touch as he has genuine great conversation with each guest, love that personal touch. Great place for family and special holidays.
We enjoyed the Easter Buffet very much; a wonderful variety of very tasty food with something for everyone in our group. We asked about seeing the rest of the venue and were given a private tour of the comedy club, champagne bar, martini bar, and cabaret theater- all fascinating. In all, we found this to be a great spot for a fun evening out or special occasion.
Good food, fun show
We've gone to Pickwick and Frolic for Easter brunch for years and have never been disappointed. The selection is amazing and the staff attentative. The only issue is how much you can/should eat with such a selection.
Great food and outstanding service on a busy holiday.
Overall good restaurant. Food was tasty. Only drawbacks are that the tables are very close together which causes you to shift as servers moved around and our server was not very attentive.
It was okay. It was our first visit. It was early and not busy. The martini was good as was the salad (wedge). My steak was average -not for $41 for the filet. The asparagus was the biggest I’ve ever seen and not really what I expected. I thought for the dinner we got it was a little overpriced. I don’t mind paying for excellent quality but this fell a bit short of my expectations.
Excellent service and staff. Food was delicious. Highly recommended.
The food was absolutely incredible! It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was absolutely outstanding and the food was served quickly for a warm Saturday in Cleveland! We were done with our meal after an hour!!!
4th street is just beautiful and full of activity. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Not the friendliest waiter and it's a little pricey for selection on the menu but I would recommend it based on the overall experience.
Pickwick and Frolic has a nice combination of upbeat and laid back vibes - great for a relaxing Saturday date night. I had the Cajun Chicken Fettuccini, which had a wonderful spice to it, and my boyfriend had the Rotisserie Roasted Prime Rib (which also looked phenomenal and he said as much). Dinner was a lovely prelude to our comedy show experience, with a comedian that had us laughing so much we were in tears. Looking forward to going back soon - East 4th St. is one of the true gems of Cleveland!
The service was awesome! Every employee there was so helpful and courteous. As amazing as the service was, the food was not very good. I had pasta and it was very watery. My boyfriend had sausage he said tasted like puppy chow. I would definitely visit to grab a drink and watch a show
We have been to Pickwick & Frolic in the past and had a very nice experience, however, this time the food was just average. There were 7 of us and it was our overall consensus. Unfortunately, the show was not as funny as we've experienced in the past either. We will be back, but may eat close by and then go to the show.
Food was excellent, great service. Keep up the great work!
We ate there before a concert. The place wasn’t busy but it took our server about 15 minutes to greet us. Food was mediocre at best and they forgot one of our dinners.
Riley was an outstanding waiter. Took extra steps to accommodate a wheelchair and our elderly —and even a birthday guest.
We will be back. Hope to get Riley!
Our food was delicious and the service was terrific. We can’t wait to come back again and again!!!
Bar food wayyyy over priced. I order the shrimp cocktail and got four jumbo shrimps and had to pay $16. Not coming back ever again plus regular size chicken wings for $14. Smh! I won’t tell anyone to come there.
I went for a family dinner and it was very appropriate for that with enough options for my teenagers. The menu had enough options but was somewhat unremarkable. The service was good and prompt. I would come back for something casual but not for a special night out.
