Pickwick & Frolic Ratings and Reviews
We dined on Thanksgiving for their buffet. It was out of this world! More food choices than you could possibly eat in one sitting. And all was delicious! From the moment we walked in, the staff, the owner, Nick, and his daughter made sure we got to our seats. We had a wheelchair in our party and every one along the way was so gracious and welcoming. Nick visited our table and was so sincere and genuine. This is our favorite place for a night out. There is so much to do here. Restaurant, comedy club, martini bar, wine bar. A wonderful place to take out-of-towners. We will definitely be back!
There were 8 in our group for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. The food was fantastic. There wasn't anything that we didn't like and there were so many choices! Our server was friendly and efficient. No one could leave that buffet hungry. We had a great table by the window. The chocolate fountain was delicious.
We spent Thanksgiving with Pickwick & Frolic. Great food. Great Staff & service. We’ll definitely spend the holidays with them again. I would have given 5 Stars but the carving station really held up the line. That was a little frustrating, but not a deal breaker.
We usually book dinner and stay for the comedy show afterwards. We generally go for an early dinner and the 7p show.
This place never disappoints! It is reasonably priced, always served with a smile, and every bit as good as some of the upscale places down the street. This time, she had the scallops, and I had the lobster bisque and the Pickwick salad. Scallops prepared perfectly, bisque was excellent, and the salad was fresh and not overdressed---and huge!
We will be back!
What a wonderful staff here! The man who was working the front (I did not get his name) could not have been nicer. My party needed accessibility services and the staff was wonderful. Food was also great and the ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
We went to eat/ drink prior to a concert, and the wait staff member knew we had an hour and 40 minutes before the show started. We opted for appetizers due to time, and they were out in a fairly timely manner. Perhaps they were understaffed - but our wait person wasn't on top of drinks etc. We definitely needed to see her more so we were able to get in & get out. Drinks needed to be prompt vs waiting. Overall - decent experience, but I was hoping for a little more urgency
My husband and I have come to the restaurant before and decided we would see a comedy show. We got dinner before which as usual was wonderful. The crab cakes are always on point. The drinks taste great. I'd say for our first comedy show experience, we were not disappointed. The seating was cozy and the waitresses were attentive. We will definitely be back!
Great spot to go for good food that isn’t bar food before a concert. I have been there twice. Both times , we had excellent service and the food was good. Nothing dazzling. We ate on the patio both times. The inside of the restaurant looks dark and smells kind of musty.
Unless you like restaurants which are out of nearly every item on the menu, on a Monday evening at 7:00 PM, run as fast as you can from this lame excuse for a dining establishment. The only thing worse than the excuses they made for why they were out of nearly everything was the attitude that came with said excuses.
I rarely write reviews, and generally only do so when I've had a positive experience, but I couldn't help myself in this case. Awful, simply awful.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we had a great time! The food was amazinggggg and we are foodies so sometimes we can be critical lol. That being said, the noise level was kind of loud and I felt the seating was crammed next to other tables. Overall we enjoyed ourselves though.
The visit started poorly. They had an abbreviated menu because of a concert and ball game nearby. They were not overly busy so they really did not need to do that. So, they did not have the meal I had seen from their menu on-line. The waitress came back after we ordered and let me know my second choice had sold out! Bad start! The good news is that the fish dish I finally ordered was excellent. We enjoyed people watching as the street was a major restaurant and bar scene and was a walking route to the concert. There are big front windows and a nice patio area on the pedestrian street. We felt a little rushed as far as service, but they did not rush us out when it was clear the restaurant was not going to get busier.
We found this place during a visit to Cleveland and didn't know what to expect. Great seating outside on 4th street in downtown Cleveland for people watching. But setting wasn't too loud for conversation. Service was ok and food was good. I would recommend this place to others
We took our daughters ages 12 and 15 for a nice dinner out while on a "staycation" . Our oldest daughter is a vegan so the fact that the menu had a vegan option on the regular menu was a big plus. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was very good and a nice value. We would go back.
