   Inside a Marriott. Service geared towards use of buffet incl. with your room. Waited >30 min for glass of water/table setting, 45 min for our drinks, and food never came “waiter handed off ur order and went on break, we put it in now”.

   In 1 word? Mario. The Bartender on Saturday night was attentive, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. An absolute asset to the business. We came in as a group of 7 in London for business, and decided upon the Pickled Hen when our original booking fell through. (on that note I would recommend NOT using "open table" as they didn't book our table correctly either.) We were greeted with a table in the bar area big enough for all of us and a very freindly waiting staff. The food was nothing special but but no means bad. I had the burger and enjoyed it thoroughly (my feedback would be to offer it cooked less than well done if the customer wants). But the cocktails! The cocktails were phenomenal. Mario had his fundamentals down, and it made all the difference. No premade espresso in sight, tasting each and every cocktail and the drinks menu was non existant. if you asked for it, he'd make it for you. I can't thank him enough for what could've been a failure of a night for the group. Well done.

   Probably the worst service I have experienced anywhere in my 12+ years living in London. Booked a table for 12, was given a table for 10 - had to ask twice for extra seats. 50 mins in none of my guests had drinks despite trying to order three times. In the end, I had to beg for someone to serve us. The waitress rolled her eyes and sighed when I complained, we made them remove the service from the bill. Average food, would not return if it was the last place in London.

   Poor service from start to finish. I was told there was no booking in my name when I arrived. We had to ask for water 3 times & then it was delivered to the empty table to the right of us! The servers were slow to take our orders & there was no continuity of the same server. The superfood salad was ok, nothing special. For the first time ever, we declined to pay the service charge applied to the bill.

    We used a voucher for this occasion, and have to say it was really good value, in fact better than expected. The prosecco was free flowing, to the point where I had to ask the wait staff not to give me anymore! The salad selection was really very good, and the main was okay. There was a duo singing / playing live in the background, and it all added up to a very pleasant afternoon. Would go again and pay the full price.

    Went to the pickled hen on a Sunday afternoon. Hadn’t realised that only the brunch menu was available which was not ideal for some of the group who weren’t as hungry, but it was pretty good value, the salad and dessert buffet were really good and the mains were a good size as well. Atmosphere was nice, there was live music, and service was reasonable. Would definitely go back

    Very bizarre and inconsistent service, extremely expensive menu for the quality of the food. There are many better and higher value places to eat in London than this hotel restaurant.

    Scattered service staff. Food came out and the main course (brisket) was not hot and was just mediocre...side of onion rings were very hot and very good. Draft beer was not cold (Stella should be served cold as I’m aware). Hotel discount coupon made this meal a decent value, but there were a lot of inconsistency here. Liked the atmosphere and decor.

    There was absolutely zero service at this restaurant. Several patrons who had dined there before were well acquainted with the lack of service and would actively pursue the wait staff as they went through the restaurant. I took a cue from them and carried my own plates in my own empty glasses for refill up to the bar. One other item I could not find in the OpenTable description is that this is a hotel restaurant-I have found it disturbing number of venues lacking this notation. Please: if you are a hotel restaurant put that in your description!

    The brunch was fabulous and the service was great! We were a large group and the staff was very attentive and we never felt rushed. We were able to savour our meal and were able to converse over Prosecco! It was Sunday, so they had a lovely duo for entertainment. Highly recommended!

    Really bad. I planned an early dinner with 3 friends at a 4pm booking as we were going on to another event. The restaurant was nowhere near full capacity. Our party of four were sitting next to another party of four who had ordered tea. We all waited as long to be served which was AGES and once our order was taken, even though I explained that we needed to be finished within a 2 hour window, the service was ridiculously slow. We ordered from the set menu which promised much but delivered very little. My main meal was pork belly which was pale, blubbery and totally unappetising and I was only able to eat a tiny bit of it because it was mainly solid fat. My friends steaks were ok. It was stressful because I had to repeatedly remind the staff that we were waiting. With 5mins to go, the manager brought a complimentary bottle of wine over by way of Apollyon but it really was too little too late and we didn't have time to drink it! I wondered if the kitchen couldn't cope with hot meals in a tea time slot but the party next to me had ordered tea - one gluten free one in advance - but they failed to come up with anything for her and she ended up waiting ages while everyone else ate tea, feeling bad for her, then she eventually got a steak ! So awful it was comedic in the end!

    One of the worst meals we have ever eaten. Despite the fact there were less than 8 tables, we waited 1 hr before receiving our mains. The starters of pork belly and prawns were tasteless. I ordered the steak medium and it came completely chargrilled all the way through and was the cheapest piece of meat I’ve ever seen, you would get better at a Wetherspoons. My partners ‘giant Yorkie’ was stale and soggy and the beef was tasteless. The only good thing we’re the chips. We had no alcohol just water and shared ice cream for desert but the bill still came to £66! We felt like we had been robbed!

    Visited Pickled Hen for Sunday brunch with family and friends. Our window table was comfortable and the service attentive without being overbearing. A live-music duo were very pleasing on the ear and not too loud - we could easily hold a conversation. The brunch featured numerous varied and delicious self-service cold-buffet starters, followed by half-a-dozen or so hot mains including roast beef served in a large Yorkshire pudding, fish and chips, burger and Tom's Chicken Pie. I don't know who Tom is, but he makes a mean pie! For dessert, plenty of fresh fruit, cheesecake, meringues and a good cheese selection. As an extra, we went for the two-hour bottomless prosecco option and were glad we did as the bubbles were delicious! Overall a very pleasing experience and highly recommended. We shall return!

    Noisy open environment. Nice decor. Convenient to Marriott Marble Arch. Service was sporadic. Either understaffed or lack of attention They were out of several of the most popular dishes at 7pm on a Friday night Food is a novel take on traditional English fare. Doesn’t quite make it. OK nothing special

    Was looking for a local pub to have a quick evening bite to eat. Really nice atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food. I had a shareable cheese selection and some sweet potato fries with a delicious smoked mayo. The waitress also told me about live music on Fridays too. Recommend!

    Had a great evening here on Friday with a great cocktail, Caramel Blossom I think it was called, and Live Music! Set the ambiance of the evening very well. I loved the vegetarian goats cheese burger and even managed to fit in the sharing chocolate brownie for dessert - yummy!
