Pickett's Village Bar
The food is excellent. Great selection of draft beers.
Service was a little slow as far as getting someone to take our order and for the drinks/food to arrive. Not sure why as it wasn't that crowded. However, servers and staff were all very friendly. And it was worth it as the food was so good.
I paid 44$ for a basic glass of Cohn Merlot. I am SHOCKED that this is the glass that the server chose when I asked for a dry wine. I'm not one to complain but I am one to use these things as a learning lesson. I am disappointed that this is how the restaurant chose to take advantage of me. The food is fine otherwise.
Nice outdoor space and ambiance especially with the live music. Service was good and it was nice to not feel rushed.
We had a lovely evening outside at Pickett’s. The food and drinks were exactly what we wanted and the atmosphere was great! The live music was fun but not too loud. We will definitely be back.
Feels overpriced, especially $17 for 3 lentil tacos. But food is good, drinks are great, and ambience is perfect
Enjoy Picketts as a normal go to. Ordered two burgers this past time both medium. One came back raw and one was perfectly cooked. Not sure how that was possible, but something was up with the kitchen. I’ll give them the benefit
Great Food and a Great place all around!!
Service and food were exceptional. Fish tacos were delicious and one of the best I’ve ever had.
We have enjoyed going to Pickett’s over the past couple of years so were excited to introduce our friends to the restaurant this weekend. While the food was very good, as usual, the service was terrible (as I’ve said in a previous review, I have felt this to be a weak link). Our four entrees came out at different times, and in fact we had to ask for the fourth. Once served, our wait person dropped us like a hot potato. We had to flag down other servers for things like ketchup for the fries which came on one burger plate but not the other. The coup de grace was that the credit card machine was down and we had to scrounge for cash to pay our bill (ok it happens and it was raining). I’m sure our friends will not go back but I’m hoping they get their act together so we can return to what has been one of our go-tos since moving to Maplewood.
Service was barely ok.
The food and atmosphere were very good. The service was exceptional.
Great food. Great service. Friday night had awesome music outside.
Great cocktails (try the margarita), neighborhood vibe, good times. Grab a picnic table out by the creek with a bit of a view of the golf course. Great fish tacos. Also don't miss the Buffalo Cauli as an app.
Great food, there was a live band that was really loud. But overall a good experience.
Good food, great bear and cocktails
Second time visit , the first was better. Sat at the high top table, got there a little late no crowd noise. All in all will be back again
Love the Friday Food Trucks!!! Great food, atmosphere and servers.
Great place to eat
Fun live mu St ic. Good for kids. Outdoor dining.
Great place to eat and the service was great!! I would definitely recommend Pickett’s Village to friends and family!!
Great service and ambiance. A little overpriced ($18 for 3 tacos, $10 for street corn) but overall a great place to get yummy cocktails and hang with friends
Food was very good except for my wife's califlower which she found inedible. Servers were very nice and helpful. My main problem is how dramatically over priced this place is for what is basically pub food. Twenty dollars for a burger and fries, 24 for pasta and meat sauce. That's a pretty big rip off.
Very good good. Not enough entree selection but apps and pizza was great!
Great menu but fries were warm and not crispy. Burger was not worth $20
Great place and the manager did a wonderful job accommodating my large party (with constantly changing headcount). Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks!
We really enjoyed our meal. Service was great. Steak tacos were delicious. The steak was tender and well marinated. My son had the buffalo wings and said they were the best he’s ever had. The guacamole was yummy and fresh! Will certainly return.
Met a friend for cocktails and sat at the bar. Yes, the bar. Food is great here and the drinks are too. Service was pretty quick even having a large group (20+ people) in attendance. Bartenders are very attentive and friendly. I will stop I again.
Great fish tacos and spicy chicken sandwich!
PS: Get a margarita.
Our first visit to Pickett's. Excellent service from the Hostess, Waiter and all employees I encountered. I t was a hot night outside, so we ordered salads -- the caesar with grilled chicken and cobb -- both were very, very good. My wine was excellent. The entertainment was great. We'll be back.
Took a 7:30pm reservation and as they are seating us tell us kitchen closes at 8pm; we need to get our order in quickly. If you can’t provide your normal dining experience then don’t take the reservation. Restaurant was 3/4 full and they were rushing to close. Dimmed lights to make sure everyone get the hint. Two of our four dishes came out then after some minutes a third then after another five minutes the forth. Service was pretty abysmal. Food was just ok.
We love this place. Ambiance is casual and nice kind of rustic feel. Service is quick and friendly with local kids doing it. Food is great - they keep it simple but do it well. And, a great beer selection.
Love the picnic tables and outdoors on a beautiful night
Very very poor service last night, sadly
Highly recommend! We enjoyed the outside seating (both covered and "open" options, but inside is great, too).
I live in the area and have been wanting to try this place for a few months. I was very pleased with the overall vibe, menu and quality and I will be back in the future.
This is a great place to go with either family or friends. Ample outdoor seating, backs up against the Maplewood golf course and a little creek giving you a nice view. Service was good, not rushed, pretty average. Food and drinks were both tasty. There is no on-site parking as they are using the lot for extra outdoor seating but free street parking is available.
We had an early flight out of Newark and decided to find a local restaurant not to far from the Newark Marriott. It was about a 15 minute drive. It didn't disappoint. Great NJPizza and the Buffalo cauliflower was good too.
We absolutely loved it! The patio was lovely, with a nice view of the creek. There was live music playing and it felt very lively. Great service, delicious food, and very family friendly.
Been here a few times and overall good spot! This particular time the music was veryyyy loud. Could barely hear my guests at the table. Food and service was good.
