   arrived at 6pm, didn't receive food until 7.25pm. Looked at me like I was mad when I complained about the wait time. Pub wasn't particularly busy. Had to leave some food as we were going to see a production in the hall across the road and we didn't have enough time to eat it. Asked for a discount and they took the price of drinks off, 2 cups of tea and a tonic water. How generous! I won't be returning unless the pub changes hands. Manager is not managing.

   Very disappointed in meal. Food was not cooked enough and got cold very quickly. Serving Sunday lunch in a bowl is not very nice. Price for Sunday lunch should have an all inclusive price for the whole meal not individual. As it was a birthday treat it was very disappointing.

   Booked a table for two and we may as well have been on the same table as the couple next to us, that's how close our tables were. We couldn't have a private conversation. The service was a little slow we were seated and waited at least 15 minutes before we got a drink. The food was good but not outstanding. It was cold in the pub so a little uncomfortable but I'm sure when the fires are lit its lovely and toasty.

   We have now been to this pub for a meal twice and it is really good. It is in a very attractive village and is very cosy inside. The food is really nice and the staff are great.

   First time we have eaten here and it was excellent. Great atmosphere , good quality food and very attentive staff who tried to accommodate any requests. Georgia and Rach were delightful.

   Myself and my family visited The Pickering Arms for my birthday, what a gorgeous pub! The staff are very attentive and friendly, we weren’t made to feel rushed at all and felt very relaxed throughout our visit. I would recommend the Sunday roast and the apple and raspberry crumble was delicious! We will definitely be visiting again x

    Fabulous food, a couple of choices had sold out but we always eat late so it's not an issue and there are more than enough choices to keep us happy. Its a lovely environment with helpful and attentive staff and it's my new favourite place to eat. Dog friendly is a bonus too.
