Bringing a slice of Italy to the streets of New York, Piccolo Angolo serves authentic Italian cuisine in quaint surrounds, enhanced by soft lighting and brick-lined walls. The menu features antipasto, appetizers and tasty entrees focused around beef, chicken and seafood. Diners at Piccolo Angolo rave about the generous portions, the friendly, family-focused vibe and the weekly pasta specials.
Order a light baby arugula salad, served with shaved parmiagiano cheese and cherry tomatoes or try the Rigatoni All'amatriciana, which features a savory mix of spicy bacon balanced with fresh tomato sauce. Moved away from NYC- haven’t been here in years but the food hasn’t skipped a beat! Still delicious. Family run, and worth the visit! We had artichoke and mussels as appetizers- amazing! Dinners included fish, chicken parm and ravioli- all flavorful and cooked perfectly! Help keep a local gem in business by visiting them! You won’t regret it!
AMAZING as always - best service, best food, best ambiance - a 10/10 experience
Love the family-run vibe! The food is always delicious and service is attentive. There's something for everyone here, my gf is a vegan and she always manages to be satisfied.
Friendly staff. Wonderful food. Good house wine. Still managing to provide a great meal under difficult post-pandemic conditions. So glad they are still here!
I wanted an old school Italian Restaurant in the west village for my birthday and this restaurant ticked all the boxes. The waitress/owner was cheerful and helpful and made our evening absolutely wonderful. The food and wine were great and I can't stress enough about the service itself. I will be going back.
Its a very cute family-run Italian restaurant. Food and wine were very good. Service was super slow but they made up for it with charm and friendliness. Good value for the neighborhood.
The food was outstanding and it felt like being at someone’s home more than a restaurant! But the superb factor about this restaurant was the staff - kind, genuine, and loving. They showered my younger brother with authentic, informed, and sincere attention. It made the whole experience that much better — not every restaurant goes above and beyond to help a patron in need of extra help. Thank you!
Wonderful family Italian. Best food, terrific service, great people!!
Highly, highly recommend Piccolo Angelo to anyone looking to get an authentic Italian meal for a reasonable price paired with amazing service. Best penne alla vodka I’ve had since moving to Manhattan! 10/10
Always an amazing experience! Maria & Pete are so welcoming! Food is outstanding!
Definitely a neighborhood gem. Their beef is grass-fed which was a pleasant surprise. Portions are generous and wine list is reasonable (a rarity these days, especially at so many of the good Italian restaurants). The Quail is a MUST! A neighborhood gem that is family run. Have NO idea why it is marked by Opentable with $$$$ when it is NOT. It is NOT expensive and given the portions, a great value.
Amazing food and like being home with all my Italian relatives. Marie the owner and hostess is THE BEST!
As always, the staff and food at Piccolo Angolo were terrific. My friends and I have been coming here for years and were away during the pandemic, but so glad to be back again where we toasted the memory of the late owner, Renato!
Best Italian in NYC. Lovely owners and excellent service.
Great night with great food! Everything was delicious. The owners made us feel at home. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food! Amazing service. This is a very typical generational restaurant. Amazing servers that seem to know the patrons. Sweet owners that care to know about their people. The food was *so good*. Good price point as well. I can’t wait to go back.
We sat outside and the neighborhood was good for people watching
We went here with a large group and the service was incredible! The food and atmosphere was great! I would highly recommend!!!!
Best family Italian restaurant in NYC! The owners and staff treat you like family, and the food is outstanding. This is a must for Italian food lovers.
Perfect. Family run business that treats you like family.
Have been eating here for the last 25 years and have never been disappointed. Portions are gigantic and the quality is excellent.
They seemed a bit disorganized. Nice people. I know they are trying.
This restaurant is one my favorite spots in WV. The service is always phenomenal and it feels like a real family restaurant. Cannot recommended this enough to others. Please go check it out!
The restaurant is wuite old and dingy. the service is terrible. there is no wine list. the portions are huge but not of good quality. bread stale, tomatoes unripe. sauces bitter. overall , it's not a good experience.
Great Italian restaurant, staff was great, food was excellent , suggest eggplant parm and osso bucco, been there before and will return
The service and food was excellent! Loved the authentic feel and they serve up some huge portions so come hungry.
Fantastic meal and service!!
We were in New York for the weekend and had to have some good Italian food. Our waitress, the chef, and the owner were all INCREDIBLE. Not to mention, the food was to die for. This is a MUST TRY. I’ll definitely be going back every time I’m in the city.
Awesome food, incredibly good service & friendly team. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Great food and a very warm welcoming atmosphere.
Best dining experience during the pandemic so far! The service was incredible and portions were huge, especially for NYC. I would recommend this restaurant any day.
Amazing food and the owners are the best! Would definitely recommend to friends.
Love this restaurant
One of our favorite little Italian restaurants since we moved to NYC in 2006. Consistently fantastic!
Spectacular as always!
I love this place. Everything was great and we had an amazing time. Thank you!
We loved Piccolo! The service was terrific. They treated us like family. We will definitely be coming back!
By far my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Came here twice in one week after learning they were able to make it through the city shutdown. Don't leave without getting the Tiramisu, a favorite of the owner's!
Love Piccolo! A NYC favorite!
