Bringing a slice of Italy to the streets of New York, Piccolo Angolo serves authentic Italian cuisine in quaint surrounds, enhanced by soft lighting and brick-lined walls. The menu features antipasto, appetizers and tasty entrees focused around beef, chicken and seafood. Diners at Piccolo Angolo rave about the generous portions, the friendly, family-focused vibe and the weekly pasta specials.
Order a light baby arugula salad, served with shaved parmiagiano cheese and cherry tomatoes or try the Rigatoni All'amatriciana, which features a savory mix of spicy bacon balanced with fresh tomato sauce. The drink menu boasts a small but fine selection of beer and wine to complement meals. Piccolo Angolo is open every day except Monday.
Me and my significant other have been coming on dates here now a couple of times and I can not stress enough how delicious the food is here. Every course is just as delicious as the last which makes every night here spectacular. You will not go wrong ordering anything on the menu. The ambiance and service makes you feel as if you are just another family member. We will continue to come here as long as Piccolo Angolo is around. Which I hope is forever.
Terrible food...even worse service. Avoid at all costs
It was great! Valentine’s Day made it a bit packed and the service was slow, but overall a good experience. Family vibe.
Maria and Fernando have maintained Renato's quality. Since our first visit in 1999, Piccolo has been a must stop when we are in NY. Once again, their lamb ossobuco made a delicious meal, and Karin's favorite lobster cannelloni met her high standards. We plan to return next year.
Food was amazing...havent been here in awhile but it was even better than i remember. Will definitely be returning soon! My wife and i made the trip from Staten Island and it was so worth it!!!
We always have a great time here so it’s time I finally leave a review. Maria and Peter are amazing and the food and atmosphere always feel like being at home for dinner with the family. Great place!!
Just ridiculous. Love it there.
Long time customer and theres a reason for it.
Try it. You'll like it!
Great Food , Great Staff! One of the great Italian restaurants in NYC
I live in Philadelphia and have been coming here for over 25 years. The food is always fabulous and the staff is wonderful!
The food and service is always top notch, they make you feel like you are part of the family.
Great food, intimate atmosphere, top notch service and a personal touch. Highly recommended!
The best Italian food in NYC! The family that owns and operates Piccolo Angolo are wonderful. I have never had a bad experience.
As always, Piccolo Angolo was delicious! Very friendly staff, large portions, feels like you’re in someone’s home more than a restaurant. Food was very fresh, per usual. I’ll continue dining at Piccolo forever and ever!
The portions are huge...and I mean huge. I had the calamari appetizer and I should have stopped there. The meatballs and spaghetti entree was larger than huge, and I could only eat 1/2 of the 2 meatballs...each the size of a softball! My only suggestion would be to make the meatballs more flavorsome...they are all beef...I suggest adding some veal and/or pork.
Excellent food great service. A neighborhood restaurant in the biggest city.
So very delicious and really lovely staff. Big yummy meals ! Shall come back for sure xo
This was always one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in NYC, and I go back there every time I can when I visit. I love the neighborhood/local quality of it, and the prices are excellent for such authentic and delicious Italian food. I've never had an issue with any reservation I have made, and I tell everyone I now to visit it when they are in the city.
Service was messy and food good not great
Visiting NYC to celebrate both my birthday and my daughter's, we made a reservation at Piccolo Angolo at the recommendation of a friend who used to live in the area. It was truly an amazing experience! The linguine con vongole and fettuccine Alfredo were perfectly cooked and we both were surprised with our server, Maria, dimming the dining room lights and presenting us our gelato desserts by candlelight, and the entire restaurant singing happy birthday to us! A phenomenal evening to remember!
The food, service and wine were exceptional. We loved the personal attention and the quaint atmosphere. Be sure to take cash unless you want to pay the 3.95% surcharge. We will go back every time we’re in NYC.
Dont waste your time. No hospitality. I started laughing at how poor their service was. Plenty of other great restaurants on the block that actually appreciate your patronage
Piccolo Angolo is a quintessential, family-run, West Village restaurant. This is what one hope's for when looking for a good local restaurant -- family members about, great service, relaxed atmosphere, and good quality food at reasonable prices. It's not fancy, and the wine list isn't anything to write home about, but it's also not difficult to find something drinkable to accompany the meal. This was my first visit to PA since moving to WV 9 years ago, but it won't be my last -- a great local spot!
Veal tasted like rubber, salad was what you would expect from a fast food restaurant, pasta was totally tasteless, and service was poor. It is remarkable they have any customers and that they can get the prices they do. Stay Away!
Granted I have a higher bar for food than most. Ambiance was good, staff ok.
Octopus appetizer was quite rubbery. Pasta entree's were a bit overcooked.
LOVED IT! This is my favorite small Italian spot
Awesome family establishment. Outstanding food and service with very friendly staff. Always great .
It was very hot in the restaurant, but the staff was nice and the portions were very generous
extremely small spot. so loud. hard to move. amazing food tho..
