Service was very good and attentive throughout the night. The appetizers we had were very nice (polpo and the beet salad from the small plate section). The entree's were very well prepared too (trout and the seafood/fettuccini special). Will be back.
Good Italian food, group friendly - have pizza for kids. A little noisy, but service was great.
Great butternut squash pasta dish. Nice red wine selection. Rick provided friendly service.
Megan was an outstanding waiter. She answered food questions with skill. Great dinner with friends!
I made reservations but didn't need them because for some reason the lunch crowd was light last Friday. The service was terrific, the atmosphere was perfect for my business lunch and the food was fantastic! I had a salad with balsamic on the side which was delicious and the butternut squash ravioli were amazing! Highly recommend the whole experience of Toscana!
It was the worse meal we have had in a longtime. I called the restaurant and very politely told the hostess what had happened , give her the details , my name and my phone number and she said she would give the message to the manager, Dan. I have yet to hear from him. So it will be the very last time we go to that restaurant and we will make sure that we share it with all of our friends about our horrible dining experience.
Our circular Booth's seating was frayed and the cover was peeling off. This is twice that we've been there in the last month. Still not fixed.
Stopped in for Valentine’s Day. We both had a pasta meal. Food was well presented and delicious. Noise level was better than average, so we could talk and enjoy dinner.
So my review should be taken with a grain of salt... it was Valentines and maybe the crowd was part of the issue. My salad was missing elements as described. The main course was strangely constructed. The dessert was not well thought out. I have always been a fan of this place and Dan, but this was not a great experience.
It was a great meal but they really need to update the decor. The leather on the booth is cracked and dry rotted and for a fine dinning meal I don't want to have to sit on old cracked leather
Great time. Joe as always is a fantastic waiter.
Service was very poor. Brunch entrees have changed. Smoked salmon removed from buffet. Very disappointed.
Sunday brunch is an amazing value and food is excellent
Outstanding meal , wine accompaniment, ambiance and service
Solid Italian food with a diverse menu. The service was friendly and capable. The seat in the booth we were in was peeling, but still comfortable. They have a pretty good wine list.
Gathering of old classmates
Excellent food, my server was excellent, helped with wine selection without making us feel like idiots. Tables are a little close together
Food and service was excellent. The grilled octopus/ couscous appetizer was one of the best appetizers I have ever eaten. Pasta dishes were light and delicious.
Creative menu - Fabulous duck risotto and gluten-free!
My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful meal before going to our school's winter formal. We were able to eat filling meals and reasonable prices that left us full and satisfied. The restaurants lower lighting made for a more intimate setting for nicer conversation while we enjoyed our meal. The waitress serving us was lovely and happily split the check three ways even though it left her dealing with some odd numbers. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would recommend Piccolina Toscana to everyone.
Best brunch in town. Great variety and delicious.
The service was very good and we didn't feel rushed. My husband said "it's like being in Italy where you take your time eating, talking and enjoying the moment". The food was very tasty. Big difference when it's homemade. Best of all the portion sizes were proper. The apple tart dessert was fabulous. A great finish
Restaurant was rundown and I took the waitresses recommendation of the ravioli for my entree. It was horrible. My husband didn't care for his bolognese meal either and he can't stop talking about how he will never go back.
New Years eve
Food was great my only complaint is that there aren’t any gluten free options. I would eat here again of they had gluten free since I have a sensitivity to it. Also, they need to put new locks and knobs on the restroom doors! A man walked in on me and talk about embarrassing and uncomfortable! If they want to come off as up scale, fix that issue!
Celebrated Christmas Eve ... have done the special 'Seven Fishes' option now for past several yeas. Always enjoy it!! Dan does a great job with his dishes. We especially like that he is present and with his staff!!
And the service has always been very good ... even with a rush. Our waiter, with his extra special Christmas suit and pleasant smile, made the evening more enjoyable. And while the tables were a bit tight, we had pleasant guests on either side and great conversations resulted.
Will be back!!! And not just for Christmas by the way!!
We were disappointed comparing to the Feast of Seven Fishes menu we had 2 years ago. The first three courses seemed rather mediocre. We did not care for muscles prepared with so much bread crumbs or the fish sticks made with baccala. We felt they were sub-standard for this restaurant. The pairing wine did not appear with the meal either. We understand it was crowded and the wait staff was very busy. We were nearly finished eating muscles when the wine came at last. Then the fish sticks came while we were still eating muscles. However, the last two courses were delicious as we expected. The dessert did not go well with the previous courses, mint chocolate covered peanut butter. We would prefer something light and refreshing rather than the dense peanut butter.
We had a great Xmas Eve dinner with the family of four. Service was great and they were super helpful with my wheel chair bound mother. I had s cold so could not taste much but there were good reviews of the tortallini, braised beef and salmon. My daughter with Ciliac disease was happy with the choices.
Had a good meal with great service.
This was a perfect spot to celebrate the holidays with our small staff. The ambience and service was festive and warm, and the food was well presented and delicious.
We were at Toscanas for a Christmas luncheon. Several items on the.menu were not available. Service was slow. Food was ok. The place seems tired. It is not what it used to be.
Sunday brunch is wonderful. Lovely presentation, plenty to eat, all delicious. One of us was lucky enough to have the tortellini which is so good I am sure this is the way its originator intended it to be, light as a cloud and brimming with flavor. Everything we ate was just fabulous. I highly recommend it.
I always forget how great Toscana is. And then i go again and wonder why it's been so long! There were 3 of us and we all shared. For apps, we shared caprese salad (mozzarella was light and airy and coated with pesto), tuna tartare (fresh big chunks of tuna with avocado and wasabi) and polenta w mushroom ragout (best polenta i've ever had!). We also had a di parma pizza and short rib raviolis. Everything was absolutely scrumptious. Service was fantastic! I'm sorry I've ignored you and taken you for granted my dear Toscana.... It won't be so long again!!
We had our holiday lunch and were excited to be there. However, the service wasn’t good since we walked in the door. It took over 15 minutes for the waitress to come to the table for drink orders and even longer to place our order and get our food. When we arrived there was one large group and two other small parties- so four tables altogether. The food was great
When we sat down we were told that on Sunday's it was a buffet and a limited menu. Not one to particularly like buffets, I was a little disappointed. We took a look at the buffet and decided it looked pretty decent. I'm so happy we went that way. Everything we had was really good - especially the beet salad and mac & cheese - I went back for seconds on both! The petite desserts and delicious coffee topped off the meal. Very happy and would definitely return.
Good food, reasonably priced. Early in the evening quite noisy for our 80+ taste.
Had an absolutely fabulous meal last Saturday night. The lobster soup , my starter was beyond delicious and so flavorful . Large pieces of lobster were swimming in a tomato broth instead of the typical white cream soup. For my entree I ordered the trout which was served over small potatoes morsels, peas and mushrooms. It was a fabulous and memorable dish. And I even had dessert which was the apple crostata. Thin sliced apples were nestled in a light and buttery pastry and topped with vanilla ice cream. Dessert was well worth the calories
Head to Toscana for your next restaurant dinner. You will be glad you did
the fig pizzaette was great....not a fan of the braised ravioli
