Fabulous tortellini and Restaurant Week dinner. Service needed improvement with request for ice requiring 3 requests and 15 min wait. The "bruschetti" was more like a flatbread and much too large for an appetizer - get it to share.

Excellent meal and experience at Toscana. We started with the grilled avocado (ever had one before?) and the beef carpaccio. The avocado was slightly charred, giving it a nice flavor and texture. The carpaccio was served with fresh capers and onions and topped with avocado and freshly grated parmesan...also full of flavor. Dinners were excellent - the salmon over lobster risotto was a huge hit. Fried cookie dough sundae for dessert was the perfect finish. Excellent food and friendly, attentive service made this a great experience.

A quiet table was requested and we were sitted across from a very large party , multi generations.....and the dining room was not filled. We asked to be moved and were accommodated on the other side of the room divider. .... much better choice !!!!
Piccolina Toscana has been a consistently good go-to restaurant for us through the years. We enjoy their menu which has some great standards along with fun specials. Their bar is a great alternative to the restaurant as a casual dining experience.
This place needs an update to its menu and new menus that are not greasy. Service was spotty with my wife's second glass of wine coming after her meal. The breadsticks have evolved from crusty and crunchy to soft and doughy.

The food was excellent. The service was inattentive at best. However, it was Father's Day and there were only two servers on staff for brunch. The management needed to ensure they were fully staffed. My server was so busy that he misheard my order and brought me the incorrect fettuccine entree, but when he didn't check back, I ate it anyway, because I didn't want to wait any longer. I'd come back, but not on a holiday. Hopefully, there will be enough staff.

We didn't really know what to expect for brunch, other than that it was $20. There's an entree menu which had a mix of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. You order one and then the rest is buffet style. On the buffet was a soup, 2 green salads, 3 pasta salads, a fruit salad, a cheese board, and a dessert tray. The entrees were quite good, the salads were hit or miss, the desserts were excellent. I took my seafood pasta to go and just ate from the buffet, which was plenty. We were surprised to be the only table for the first 45 minutes. There were only 4 additional patrons by the time we left.
When I made the reservation, I was not notified that the restaurant would be offering a limited “Sunday menu“ which was reduced to, basically, pasta and salad. I had dined there before and had an excellent meal from the full restaurant menu, and was very disappointed this was not an option. Our waiter was uninformed about the availability of certain dishes, and I was embarrassed to have taken my guests there for a standard Olive Garden-type meal.
I have been to Toscana for 20 years. 6 months ago my wife and I tried it after about a 5 year absence as we wanted to see if the food had improved. Much to our satisfaction the food was quite good. We were very happy as we wanted Dan Butler to succeed as he brought modern Italian cuisine to DE, 25 years ago. This time we brought a party of 6 and the starters were "off the charts" great taste and high quality. Dinners were very good , but the temp of the pastas could have been hotter and sadly the service was the weak link. Our server was very friendly and enjoyable, but sadly at times she forgot the table was present. All in all we had a great dinner and certainly will continue to support this restaurant. I hope Dan Butler tries to up the ante and push into the next phase of Toscana, just don't leave behind the breadsticks !!

Service was great & food was amazing! Unfortunately women’s restrooms are not handicap accessible. The men’s room is however 🙄 maybe make the men’s room unisex?

It was a wonderful Easter brunch. The food was very good, my only suggestion is that they serve more breakfast items. The brunch was more geared to the lunch side.
Atmosphere and service was excellent! My mother is in a wheelchair and all staff was extremely helpful and solicitous.

Thought we would go here during restaurant week. Interesting menu and unique ambiance. Dinner was delicious but service could have been more polished. Took a long time for each dish to arrive and confusion as to which one of us two ordered what. Needs a bit more improvement before next time.

I feel like consistency has been an issue here. I'll have an amazing meal and than the next time I go its not the same. I keep trying it because I do want to like it and its a good location.

not a fan of excess garlic so some dishes especially starters were overdone, very limited menu is my main issue, try a veal chop instead of a pork chop for instance, need more pasts dishes ravioli maybe. some fish dishes are easy, wish dan butler well he needs to upgrade and change only half filled on a sat nite.
Absolutely wonderful! We had an incredible meal- the salmon with lobster risotto, butternut ravioli, tortellini- all was great. Appetizers we're good. We had a leisurely dinner with outstanding service. Will definitely be back!
It's rare to go to a restaurant for lunch where the server doesn't address us as "guys." We are easily identifiable as women and senior citizens who eat out quite often. The wait staff at Toscana is unfailingly professional, personable and excellent in every possible way. And the food is excellent and also beautifully plated. The name on Open Table is not mine; is there any way it can be corrected? Laura Griffin is a woman who made a reservation for us to dine in London four years ago. My name is Paula Garrison. Food was pretty good. Service was really bad. Not sure why. Maybe it was an “off” night for our server.
