Piccola Cucina Osteria - Spring St.
Friendly service with a buzzy atmosphere, all in a typical Italian restaurant setting. It is matched by home cooking like you would expect to eat in Italy which is one of the keys to the success of the restaurant.
Great care is taken by the chef in choosing the freshest ingredients according to season.
Other two Piccola cucina locations are:
Piccola cucina Estiatorio ( 75 Thompson street )
Piccola Cucina Enoteca ( 184 Prince Street )
Great food! Fun place. Reservation a must. 3rd time in 3weeks. PS. Fun birthday celebration 😊😊
the salad was good. but the pasta was not good. been there for diner with my wife and we are disappointed from the main courses the chicken and pasta. the staff was pretty nice.
Amazing food and excellent customer service definitely go back thank you
Great spot for some authentic Sicilian food - great lunch spot!
Best genuine italian food in town!
Very delicious food, nice service, convenient location. Highly recommended
Delicious, authentic Sicilian food in a cute and warm restaurant setting. It is a very small space with tables crammed very closely together. That said, servers were friendly and accommodating. All pastas are homemade and delicious; they have a gluten-free pasta option not listed on the menu. Prices were reasonable with most pastas in the $17-22 range for lunch. It was rather loud between the tightly-crammed tables and music playing.
Overall, highly recommend for a solid, casual Italian meal.
There are no words to describe how amazing the tomato sauce is. Everytime I come here it’s better than I remember. The gnocchi was outstanding. My favorite, pasta alla norma was great! My entire family including my extended family loves this place.
Decent place but very small. All the staff speak to each other in Italian, which is a good sign. I wasn’t very impressed with the seafood risotto or the lamb ragu with gluten-free penne. But it may have been an off day. I’ll give it another shot one day, however, I hope they invest more in their gluten free offerings.
Really good food. The place is small. Service was great. It was fun.
Incredible in every way. You don’t need a menu. Just tell them Specialty De la Casa. They will keep bringing it.
Homemade pasta of every kind.
Felt like I was in Italy!!!!
Food was great and a phenomenal value, service was pretty good, but the noise level was SO loud. Fun place, but it was almost impossible to have a conversation.
Perfect New York experience!! Food & price were great....highly recommend!
Loved it all! The food was amazing and Misa, the manager was super fun. The 4 of us loved it all!
This was our favorite restaurant during our 9 day vacation to NYC. The servers were welcoming and friendly. The energy was off the charts. The food was delicious and bonus that we went during lunch and were able to take advantage of the $11 lunch specials. Quite a deal for NY. The name says it’s all, it is a tiny tiny place but I think that added to its charm.
Food was great.
Cucina Italiana a New York davvero ECCELLENTE!!! Ero stato qui un anno e mezzo fa e ci sono tornato e non ha deluso le mie aspettative.... cibo ottimo personale gentile e simpatico... locale molto piccolo ma molto bello... SUPER CONSIGLIATO!
Excellent restaurant. Very nice time with everyone.
Excellent service and great food!!!
the food is excellent as well as the desserts, the waiters know how to explain all the menu and the wines, very attentive.
Amazing food and amazing people! Thank you very much!
We booked in advance and it was a good thing we did. The restaurant was buzzing with full tables of diners enjoying excellent food and drink. Service was great, very friendly and we felt well looked after. The menu and specials left us spoilt for choice. We shared Octopus and Burrata to start as the main courses looked big. The Octopus was cooked to perfection, tender with a slight char. To follow we both had pasta dishes; seafood spaghetti for me and spaghetti with wild boar ragu...served in saucepans, so we were right about the portions but both saucepans were sent back empty. We had a bottle of reasonably priced Chianti to accompany the meal. We had a great time, fantastic food and would not hesitate to recommend Piccola Cucina Osteria.
The feed was amazing. We shared a fried burrata and ravioli (ricotta and spinach). The portion are very generous. The ambiance is very loud and energitic. Waitress was super sweet.
Everything is good there. Enjoy it.
Wonderful food, wonderful ambiance, unbeatable service, and all in all a real treat. We will go again and again when we're in New York City. Loved it!
This place never disappoints. No wonder why it’s always tough to get a table.
Great pasta, service, and energy. Really feels like you’re in a special Italian kitchen! Will definitely be back—if I can get a reservation :)
No kidding on the "Piccola" part, this place is tiny! That said, the staff and food were truly excellent and it was a wonderful experience. Everything was delicious... we had the Arancini, Fennel/Orange Salad, the Spiniach Tagliatelle and the Cavatelli, all were excellent. We loved the Cassata Siciliana we shared for desert too. We will definitely return on another trip to NY.
Tiny tiny tiny place. Extremely accommodating, excellent food. Not fancy. Just good.
Legitimately felt like I was having dinner late-night in a cafe or restaurant in Italy. Great service. Cozy environment with only 8 or 9 tables, and very authentic food.
Believe the hype, folks. This place is just outstanding. Wonderful, lively atmosphere, great, friendly staff and incredibly sublime food. It doesn't get any better. If you're in New York you MUST give this great restaurant a try - you will NOT be disappointed.
Great food, outdtanfing value and excellent service
Calidad, servicio y precio imbatibles. Hemos estado 6 días en Nueva York y este ha sido sin duda el mejor restaurante calidad-precio.
Delicious food, buzzing atmosphere if a little cosy (all part of the charm!). Food was absolutely wonderful and will definitely be returning!
We were in NYC for the weekend and chose Piccola Cucina Osteria after seeing good reviews. We really liked how small and cosy the restaurant was, the staff were really friendly and the food was great. The cannoli alla Siciliana dessert is a must have! We’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dinner spot in New York.
Fun small restaurant. Great fresh pasta. Music can be loud at night.
Me and my wife went there for our anniversary and didn’t regret it. Amazing food and great service. Would definitely go back again.
We went for dinner, noting it's rating. This might be the smallest, most crowded restaurant I have ever been to (including Italy) with what appeared to be seating for no more than 20-25 diners at a time, plus a few more outside at sidewalk tables. I confess, I did not count, although it would have been easy to do so. The room was tiny and the rectangular tables small and very close. Our table for 2 was so small that it was unmanageably cluttered with 2 small bread plates, a small bread basket, 2 water glasses, 2 wine glasses, a bottle of wine and silverware. The person at the table next to ours was closer to me than my partner on the other side of our table. With the background noise at about 85 dB it was not possible to have a private conversation so we had a common conversation with the folks next to us. This is not the worst thing in the world and we enjoyed the conversation, but should not be necessary in a restaurant. Another reflection of the crowding was the fact that when my napkin slid off my lap onto the floor by my feet, I could not move my seat back without hitting the chair/person behind me, I could not lean over sideways without putting my head in my neighbor's lap, so I had to pick up the napkin with my feet and lift it towards my waist and lean forward where my outstretched arm could reach it.
The service was quite good. The menu and wine list were adequate but not extensive. Several specials were offered. No cocktails are available, only wine and beer. The food was excellent, something the staff is justifiably proud of, and no doubt is the reason folks put up with the crowding and noise level. For us however, the setting did not allow for an enjoyable meal.
Excellent cuisine in an intimate ambiance. Tagliatelle was superb with truffle oil and black truffle shavings. Grilled octopus appetizer was excellent and ravioli / cannolis were both great as well. Will definitely go back to this place when we are back in the city. Ask for waiter Super Mario - Super Server :)
Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, nice people, although tiny space. A music a bit loud but we did not mind. Grazie mille!
