Went there on a Monday and the restaurant was busy but not full. Great service and the menu had many choices to choose from. The appetizers were served quickly and the waiter was very helpful in assisting with questions about the menu. Would go back again.

Food excellent as usual. A bit disappointed because despite the reservation for 10pm, I had to wait 1 hour before having the table.

The food was excellent, but the place is very tiny so be prepared to be seated inches away from your neighboring table.

The Spring St location, as well as the one a block north are amazing lunch spots, with their $11 entrees from 11-3(?). To die for pasta, super simple and delicious. You may have to wait, 5-10, even if you have a reservation.

Really cool spot, good view onto the street, always full of Italians, so you know it is good. Only downside is when packed, it can be hard to get a water refill, cheese, or rarely your order.

100% have to try!

I went there for having a dinner with a friend of mine. We are italians and we live in the united states since 2016. We tryed a lot of italian restaurants, some of them are good but this one is awsome.
I really racomanded this restaurant to everyone. If you are italian and you miss your place, Piccola Cucina can feel you like if you are home. Otherwise, if you are from other part of the world and you would like to try our food this is what are you looking for.
Buon appetito

Piccola Cucina is fabulous! As the name suggest, it is a small kitchen, but serves big tastes! The pasta dishes are amazing and its SoHo location away from the tourist traps is ideal. Great experience, highly recommended- be sure to make a reservation!

This Italian (Sicilian) restaurant I rated as good. The food was delicious and really different with an emphasis on Sicilian recipes, think red sauce and fish with some kick. The pasta is wonderful and fresh made daily. Be aware this restaurant is VERY small as their name means "small kitchen". There are probably only about 12 tiny tables in this establishment and weather permitting they open their doors wide to allow for sidewalk dining. Over all it was really good and would highly recommend the food.

For $11 you get your pick of delicious pasta entrees and a vibrant, busy lunch scene. Sometimes the order gets lost, but with fairly quick food times and the cost, just chalk it up the experience. This one is for sure a neighborhood gem with fantastic value.

What an incredible evening! I came with a group of friends to celebrate my 30th birthday & could not have chosen a better restaurant. The waitstaff was so welcoming & friendly. We were laughing & joking with them all night. Our waiter gave a great recommendation for wine that everyone loved. We also loved that it wasn't too pricey & they offer wine by the glass as well. The food was absolutely delicious & authentic!!! I was one of multiple birthday celebrations & the entire restaurant, including the kitchen staff, sang & celebrated for each one of us. Truly an unforgettable & amazing way to celebrate my birthday!

The reservation we made for ten people took up half the restaurant, and when we asked to add one more chair, they claimed they couldn’t accommodate us. The manager suggested we go to another restaurant, which we did. Space is an issue almost everywhere in NYC, but when you make a reservation and have family in from out-of-town, the expectation is to be met with quality. There was none of that here.

Managed to get a last minute reservation. Small restaurant with lively atmosphere. No place to have a drink while waiting for the table but they directed up to a nice car across the road. Prompt friendly service. Delicious food. Large portions! and I couldn't eat it all. I recommend a visit.

Limited space. Friendly services. Pasty is well prepared and cooked al dente. Sauces are flavorful but could be on the salty side.
Fantastic neighborhood gem that is worth a trek. Would recommend to friends. Cannolis are not to be missed!

What a phenomenal meal! Piccola Cucina Osteria is one of the best Italian restaurants that I have dined, including Italy. We tried most of the appetizers and entrees, and without a doubt, each dish was superb. Some of the dishes were a bit salty, but overall, the food was well prepared and delicious. The wine list has some great wines at very reasonable prices.

One additional point to note is that the restaurant seating area is small, but the food, the service and the value will make up for it.

I had the rice balls and they were very tasty and not too hot inside wich often is the case
Than we two pasta dishes one with sardines and one wir lobster
Both have been delicious and on the point Coocked . Italian cuisine like I want!

The restaurant gives a nice twist to the conventional Italian food, with Sicilian delicacies and nice atmosphere. The pastas are freshly made and taste amazing.

One thing to keep in mind is the size of the place- it's tiny and you can hear people speaking from the other end of the room. I'd not hold an important business meeting there but for a friends/ family get-together- it's a definite YES.

This place was meh.....I guess they mostly cater to tourists hence the OTT Italian act. The food was ok, the spinach and ricotta ravioli was much better than the meatballs I had for appetizer which had zero flavor, but overall nothing special. The Nero D'Avola they carry is a cheap brand of the wine made from this grape and didnt do it for me at all. But the one major issue I had was with the obnoxious owner and the pretentious waiters who didn't treat us very well at all and who obviously didn't realize I speak italian. My husband a chef cooks italian food to die for and so I wasn't pleased with the comments they passed among themselves about us and the other guests. Overall I give this place about a 4 out of 10. If you're a new yorker skip it if you're a tourist I bet you'll love it

Piccola Cucina offers authentic Italian food. So good that even my Italian friends like to go there because it tastes like home. I love going there for lunch. The food is very, very good and they offer a lunch special (basically every pasta) for $ 11. The staff is Italian, of course, and very friendly.

As it's very small and offers great food I recommend to make a reservation (especially if you are a bigger party). If you don't get a table on Spring Street, go one block to Piccola Cucina Enoteca on Prince Street!

I'm happy that my Italien colleagues showed me this place. I think it's the best Italian in NYC! Molto bene

Great place on Spring Street to people watch. I have been here a few times and came with a friend who is an excellent cook and enjoys a great meal. Being of Sicilian ancestry and having been there, I first came for Sicilian food. My favorite is pasta con sarde. We split several dishes including an excellent octopus salad. Also had taglierini pasta al nero. All of the pastas are home made. Good wine list, obviously including Sicilian wines. The prices are more than reasonable too. Will be back again.

I almost hate to write a review. The resto is tiny and seems to be usually packed. But I should share. The food and wine menus are terrific, the food excellent and the service terrific. The price is fine, too. We found the place bursting with good food and good will. Absolutely a delight.
