Piccola Cucina Osteria - Spring St.
Friendly service with a buzzy atmosphere, all in a typical Italian restaurant setting. It is matched by home cooking like you would expect to eat in Italy which is one of the keys to the success of the restaurant.
Great care is taken by the chef in choosing the freshest ingredients according to season.
Other two Piccola cucina locations are:
Piccola cucina Estiatorio ( 75 Thompson street )
Piccola Cucina Enoteca ( 184 Prince Street )
This was a last minute decision and a really good one at that. Would definitely recommend coming here with a reservation as the restaurant is very small.
They had plenty of specials that were not listed on the menu but the food is delicious.
Such a cute hole in the wall place. Gets very busy as it’s a small restaurant, so be sure to book in advance.
Food was delicious - got the wild boar and truffle pasta which was divine. My friend ordered the shrimp, burrata and rocket pasta which was also delicious. Between 11AM-4PM, there is an $11 lunch special (your choice of pasta) which is such great value for such a huge portion of pasta. Cannot wait to come back and try the other dishes. A big shout out to the amazing waiter, Mario, who took great care of us. The cannoli was a great touch to end the meal!
Great food. Noise level too high for me (Top 50 pop hits type music playing at high volume)
Just returned from Sicily - this was great! Great food, service, wine list
Wonderful food and service! Great value for NYC!!!tight quarters and conversations were interesting to say the least! Would definitely return! The squid ink pasta with lobster and porcini mushrooms was some of the best I’ve ever had and I have eaten coastal Italian in Italy! FANTASTIC
Un pezzo di Sicilia a NYC. Consigliatissimo a tutti quelli che desiderano mangiare italiano classico ma contemporaneo.
Eve of marathon and hubby wanted just simple pasta and sauce. They made something off menu and it was delicious. Ran a great race next day, too!
It doesn’t get better than this! :) thank you for having us!
Best Pasta in Town! Great service and nice place! I certainly recommend
tiny authentic Italian bistro. I love being shoe-horned in and a bustling atmosphere. Mitch was in charge , hosting and serving at times. Great guy, lots of fun and ensured we had a good time. Good value for Manhattan. Wine list was a little thin.
Really Great italian food and so affordable .
Service is great
Unpretentious little bistro in Soho. Sitting elbow-to-elbow with local NYers gets you into the spirit of the city. Homemade pasta, reasonable prices, attentive service. I look forward to my next visit!
Excellente cuisine italienne
Le rapport qualité prix à midi est vraiment très bon
Service efficace et agréable
Je recommande sans réserve
Misa the best 👌🏻 green tagliatelle amazing
So so so great! Fabulous wine selection. Best arancini, polpette and pasta! Highlight of NYC!
Wonderful food and great service. Just expect to be cramped since the restaurant is time and there isn’t much room to move.
Booked a reservation weeks in advance and was given a table outside in Fall weather. The food was cold very quickly as a result. I also had to eat with my coat on. This was a late night reservation, not “prime” dinner time. I think if I have a reservation I expect my table to be indoors, unless specially requested otherwise... give the outdoor tables to the walk in customers!
Not our first time at the restaurant either. We come back because their pastas remind us of Sicily. Unfortunately my sardine pasta was overcooked this time and quite a shame.
Pasta was not that good.
Nice genuine menu and good service plus the place is intimate and cozy. Sadly the noise level is deafening.
We were lucky the windows were open so it helped to a degree. Otherwise I would definitely go back....
Great authentic Italian... served by a great staff! Definitely will go back!!
Great Italian food and service!
My boyfriend and I are Italian and we didn't expect to find such a good Italian restaurant in New York! Strongly recommended especially for fresh handmade pasta and cannoli. Excellent food, fast service, nice people and good value for money in a nice Soho street. What else?
Absolutely AMAZING! My favorite Italian restaurant in NYC! The best pasta in town and coziest ambience.
Fun experience with excellent food and service
Favorite italian restaurant in NYC. Cozy and intimate atmosphere. Best pasta in town.
The food was really, really good and authentic and the portions are very generous. But sadly I would never return. I could not wait to finish my meal and get out of the place. The restaurant has the most cramped dining room I have ever been in! The tiny tables are soooo extremely close together that it is so very uncomfortable. It's like being in an economy airplane seat. Horribly close to other diners. And the noise level is so F**K%$G LOUD. I could not be heard or hear my husband. Maybe go there for lunch by yourself, but not on a date or if you want to enjoy a nice evening on the town. It was so uncomfortable, I was so happy to get out of the dining room when done with dinner. I had to walk outside for many blocks to decompress, being there is very stressful. Tables are so tiny that they cannot hold the dishes ordered.
We had the lobster linguini and it was delicious.
A group of 4 of us secured a reservation for 10:30 on Friday 10/18. If you are looking for a mind blowing experience this is the one. Having eaten in Little Italy and other Italian restaurants around Manhattan, this is by far the BEST I’ve ever had outside of eating in Italy itself. The sea urchin dish is one of the best things from our dinner. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation and try it out.
Great food snd great vibe!!
Great food. Fantastic value. Very very small place.
The staff is amazing and this is definitely the best PASTA in NY
Divine food !!
Place a little bit too small, felt cramped...service good and nice staff
My favorite Italian restaurant in the city!!
Great environment, great food, great service! Will be back again!
Simply one of the best restaurant in New York. I feel like being in Italy (where I am from) when I am there. By far the best valued restaurant in NYC
Best Italian in NYC!
Locale delizioso, la cucina, oltre ad essere squisita, rispetta la tradizione dei piatti del caro sud Italia con un tocco magico di innovazione. Grande rispetto, stima e ammirazione per lo chef Philippe ed il suo team!!
We had such a great time, as always. Thank you, Eleanora, Mario, et al. The food, wine, and people were fantastic. So warm and welcoming. Can't wait to go back in November. Grazie mille!
