Piccola Cucina Enoteca - Prince St. Ratings and Reviews
We were a party of six and seated by the front door when it was only about 10 degrees outside, when I say front door, I mean I was literally worried about the door hitting my chair when people were coming and going. I wore my coat the entire dinner but as the evening went on and I got past our table location. It ended up being a fabulous experience! The staff was great (made sure the door shut completely every time some one came or left) and very fun and accommodating. The best Italian food I’ve ever had!! Very fresh. I had the Lasagna. I will definitely go back but request a table away from the door😉
I have lived in NYC for over 30 years, been to thousands of restaurants from the very best to hole in the walls and i have to say that, Piccola Cucina Enoteca, is outstanding.GREAT FOOD....GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND...MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE ENTIRE STAFF IS AMAZING....THEN OF COURSE THE MUSIC, YOU HAVE TO GO TO UNDERSTAND....AND THE FOOD IS JUST MOUTHWATERING , SERVED IN POTS...UNDERSTAND, YOU WANT SOMETHING FANCY THIS ISNT THE PLACE...YOU WANT SOMETHING WHERE YOU LEAVE HAPPY, CONTENT AND SMILING WANTING TO COME BACK AGAIN THEN THIS IS THE PLACE!!!!
Found this place by accident while walking around the city after visiting a law school for my daughter. Saw a sign that read $10.00 pasta lunch special and who can ever pass up a good opportunity like that and so we went in. To our amazement it was like we were back in Italy! (We visit Italy frequently)! The best part about the whole dining experience is having your pasta served in the very pan they cooked your dish in! This has become my favorite place to eat! I’m not a city person (since I live in Staten Island) but when my family told me this is where we were going to celebrate my birthday I immediately said lets go as it is worth the trip! It is small, intimate and the food is great!! What else could you ask for in a restaurant!! I definitely recommend making a reservation but they do try to accommodate walk-in !!
Piccola Cucina is THE BOMB! This small Soho gem has amazing authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding service. Great appetizers, amazing dishes and wonderful wine list. The service is superb........only three wait persons for the entire 30 persons. Later at night you may be treated to singing, dancing and a party atmosphere. Absolutely LOVE this place. A must try!
Italian comfort food at its best. This cozy little restaurant is the perfect place to duck into while shopping on Prince St. You’ll never go wrong with the Pasta alia Norma, especially if you are avoiding meat. There are several gluten free options and delicious fish entrees. The staff is friendly, efficient and make lattes.
I brought my daughter to Piccola Cucina on a recent mother/daughter trip to New York and of course had to take her out for an authentic Italian meal. I found Piccola Cucina on OpenTable and made a reservation after reading many positive reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was fantastic (and very authentic) and was really reasonable for New York. It's not a negative in my mind, but the restaurant is tiny and very loud so keep that in mind if those things turn you off. Otherwise, I would highly recommend!
I truly enjoy my experience at this restaurant. We were a group of 8 for my birthday and my main goal was to find good food in an affordable price (a rarity in New York these days.)
We all took some appetizers and the homemade pasta (served in a pan) and it was delicious.
What I wasn't expecting and made the experience super fun is that at some point there was music from the 70s, 80s etc... and the team at the restaurant started playing with the lights and using their kitchen pans as drums. My group and plenty of other people in the restaurant started to sing and we had tons of fun. I loved it.
Thanks also for the complimentary cannolis for myself and the table it was a very nice touch.
I'd definitely recommend this place to people, it's one of the funniest birthday celebrations I've had.
Thanks for everything
Piccola Cucina Enoteca on Prince Street was really a great find...truly a gem. They serve authentic Sicilian delicacies and are very reasonably priced. The service is exceptional. We went on a Friday night with a reservation. It was very crowded but we never felt rushed. The octopus salad was very tasty and the homemade pastas were fantastic. The orichiette with shrimp was delicious as were the homemade gnocchi. The canoli were perfect. You can watch the chef preparing most of the meals in the back of the restaurant and you could see his passion for cooking. It is very small so I think is is best to go with a reservation, but even if you have to wait for a table it is certainly worth it. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful choice of small plates in a cozy, intimate room. We had fennel and orange salad, burrata, bruschetta with gorgonzola, walnuts, arugula; another with bresaola, mozzarella, black truffle; and vitello tonnato, with a lovely glass of Sicilian red wine. Wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. Lovely place, great dining experience. Go early or late, as it has a very limited number of tables and is full at prime time.
very small cafe with TINY kitchen behind bar. Warm and inviting atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious Sicilian specialties -- especially loved the appetizers-- artichokes, spinach with almonds and one of the best caponatas I've ever had (including in Sicily). Very reasonable prices!
