The place is adorable. Tiny intimate experience with excellent service. The food was terrific although I found menu somewhat limiting. Great tapas & pasta options with 4 entree. Really Interesting wine menu, different price points as well.

We went for the luncheon special and enjoyed it immensely. It has been a bit of time since the last time we visited this restaurant, and it is still good as ever. The service is attentive and efficient. I recommend this place for a authentic, intimate Italian lunch (or dinner). We won't wait very long before returning.

Ravioli w meat ragu was the bomb as were cannoli.

Seat at door with on-time reservation frustrating given cool weather; if had not been concerned with frequent door opening, would have enjoyed dinner more.

The pasta here is always amazing. We also ordered the carpacio di branzino. It was good but not as good as I've had before. We also ordered the caponato, an eggplant dish. It was good, wasn't expecting it to be as sweet as it was but it's a nice dollop to put on a piece of bread or the crisps they include with it.

Fish did not taste fresh, sent it back & got the octopus special, which was overcooked & tough. The mixed salad was basically a bowl of chopped lettuce (couple of tomatoes & mandarin orange slices) with no dressing, oil & vinegar delivered on the side.
The service was good & they took my fish off the bill & comp'd me a glass of wine which was very nice. I've enjoyed eating here several times over the past few years while on business trips but will likely skip it going forward for the many other options in the neighborhood.

We were looking for authentic Italian food and we were thrilled to find it here. Rated as a top restaurant in another app - we decided to try this location as the menu had a more relaxed feel. Our server shared that this location has been operating for 17 years. We now know why!! The food is truly authentic (my husband is Italian) and he chose to have the cavatelli as that was his tradition on his birthday (making cavatelli with his mom). This was better than his moms (but don’t tell her that). We started our dinner with a special appetizer of grilled octopus which was Devine!! Then our meals (cavatelli and a wild boar with truffle linguine) were served in a unique style (looks like a frying pan). The flavour of each dish was amazing. A complement to our meal was the Chianti Classico which allowed us to reminisce of a recent trip to Italy. During our dinner we learned that our server was from Bologna and not only did we have a wonderful conversation with her but she brought my husband the best cannoli I’ve eaten for a special birthday dessert!! We will not return to New York unless we are assured that we have a reservation confirmed here!! We had a truly memorable and delicious experience and loved the lively and friendly atmosphere.

We came 30 mins earlier than our reservation but they were so nice + understanding enough to accommodate the next table they had for us. People are nice, food is AMAZING (we got the ravioli, burata + prosciutto, lasagna ragu, wine). Place is a bit small though but it was just us 2. Would def come back!!!

I’ve been to their other unit in Spring St. and this time things were not as nice. The level of noise was very uncomfortable, the cook was literally throwing pans and arguing with waiters and waitresses in a very loud way.

The staff is so incredibly friendly and the food was delicious! You are literally served in the pot that they cook your pasta in. The pasta is really fresh and delicious and you'll likely be taking a good portion to go! We had a fantastic time dining here and would go again in a heartbeat!

Erica took great care for us. The food was outstanding. The place is small and tables are very close together. So glad we had a reservation. They had to turn away quite a number of people. Will definitely return we we visit NY.

My husband and I just came back from our Honeymoon a few months ago. For our honeymoon we wanted to drink the best wine and eat the best food... so we went to Italy. It was hard coming back at first since real Italian food is so unbelievable good. We stumbled across this place one weekend in the city, once we found out that they were not taking any walk-ins and were booked for all of Friday and Saturday night, we knew that we needed to come back and give this place a try. We came back two weeks later, ensuring that we had a reservation and I am so glad we did. The food, service and atmosphere were unreal.. we felt like we were back in Italy. Everyone who worked here was Italian and it made us fell like we were back on our honeymoon. This place is very very small, so if you are planning to try this out.. Make sure you make a reservation a week or two in advanced. We ordered the Rice Balls and Bruschetta for our appetizer, we both ordered the Orecchiette Gamberi e Burrata because we did not want to share and we were so full that we could not fit dessert in. We already booked our reservation for us and friends for my husband's birthday... he can not wait to go back.

The food was solid, but portions could have been larger. Food took forever to come out, and we watched many tables who arrived after us served first. There also seemed to be some ingredients missing, but we didn't push it because we didn't want to wait any longer.

We went on Friday and decided to go back on Sunday because it was so good. The food and wine are great and it has a friendly environment. This is a great place to relax and enjoy your friends while having a great, reasonably priced meal.

Wow! Every course was spectacular and I’ve never eaten burrata that creamy before. The lasagne is to die for and that’s one of the best tiramisu I have ever eaten. Absolutely loved it!

OMG! The food was fabulous. From the bruschetta to the eggplant pasta to the creme brûlée... nothing disappointed and in fact was YUMMY.

Incredible find, small ...maybe 15-20 tables... but worth the squeeze.

The wild boar ragu with truffle is arguably the best pasta in NYC. It's only competition comes from the very same restaurant in the form orecchiette with shrimp. Hands down, the best value italian restaurant you can find.

We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. This is a small restaurant and space is at a premium. Our servers were attentive without being overbearing. Appetizers were cured meats with just the right amount of greens. We both had pasta dishes for our mains. They came served in aluminum pots which was a bit unusual at first but I’m the end worked well. The serving sizes are large. The quality was good and the flavours were excellent. Good place.

Chef Karol once again prepared several masterpieces for the enjoyment of the table! The prosciutto con pare was perfection, the grilled octopus was amazing, the spinach, avocado, beet, tangerine salad with almonds and walnuts was a perfect marriage of flavor, and of course the penne tomato basil and the pasta with clams were signature dishes that always make us come back again. We live in Maryland outside of DC but when in NYC, we don’t eat anywhere else. Service is always friendly and professional and chef Karol is simply the best! See you again and hopefully soon!
