Food far better than I expected. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Service was good, frank is personable and efficient.
Enjoyed early dinner starting with stuffed mushrooms...pasta entree with crabmeat in a light sauce. Very delicious...wonderful carrot cake. Excellent service...lovely ambiance. They have love music later in the evening. Valet parking.
The food was truly amazing. The drinks from the bar were wonderful...well made!
Michael and his staff consistently provide outstanding food quality and choices and the service is very attentive and not intrusive to your visit. We always enjoy the live entertainment and the spacious dance floor. Everything is well done and I always recommend Picco Tavern to all my friends.
Absolutely delicious! The linguine with clam sauce is our favorite.
We went for a special celebration. There was live music and dancing 💃 on Friday night that was a lot of fun after a spectacular dinner. My husband and both had a special his pork and mine fish. Both were prepared and presented very well. We are looking forward to going again soon
Food and service were very good. Older crowd, but the bar area was still somewhat lively with music on a Friday night.
The food is very good and the ambience is pleasant, even elegant. A bit on the expensive side, considering we went on Tuesday, a "half price pasta" day. But not terribly expensive. (It's just that on a half price day, you should go out saying, what a great deal! But we didn't. It was an OK deal.)
We had reservations for 6:45
Our dinner came to the table at 9:00 pm
Cold and not good at all!
The waitress never came to the table
She did apologize as it was cerycoreed and not enough help
The waitress did give us a bottle of wine on the house
We also had tickets to their show
That was suppose to start at 8:30
It started at 9:00 pm and after the first song, they blew a fuse
We waited another 20 minutes for the show to start again
Very very disappointing!
VERRY DISAPPOINTED. 1st they could not find the key to the wine cellar. finally a wine was served after our Caesar salad which was very good. I ordered Linguini fresh clam white sauce, I had 5 fresh little neck clams and the rest came out of a can??? cut pieces. The waitress was very nice she had to take care of all the customers alone. There was no manager or if there was one he never came to our table to inquire about our experience.
First time at Picco- no complaints. Drinks, food and service were good enough that I would go back.
Picco's has food has always been excellent. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but that can be expected on a busy night. Our main reason for this day was the 8:30 show. The show was great. Unfortunate that some of the customers would ratter talk than enjoy the show. Don't know why they wasted the money for the show. They should have just stayed at the bar in the main dinning area.
Dinner was very good! (Shrimp with Asparagus and Linguine with white clam sauce)
appetizer of calamari with artichoke fritte was very good as well.
Service that night was not very good, inattentive, unacknowledged.
My family and I recently had dinner here for my birthday. A lovely atmosphere, with the quality of fine dining (but for a fraction of the cost). We were greeted by complimentary valet parking, the doors were opened for us. We were lead to a quiet table and had lots of privacy (it was not crowded that evening). The service was attentive without being overbearing, the food was delicious, and for the price point I think you would have trouble finding better value in this area. A truly lovely experience, and they gave me an Irish coffee on the house for my birthday. A lovely experience.
Horrible- food was terrible
Crowd is old and music is blaring
We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and entertainment on a recent Saturday evening. There are 2 bars with large screen TVs to enjoy a well-prepared cocktail before dinner. In addition to main menu, they have daily specials, we particularly enjoyed the rice balls and home made pasta with short ribs sauce. Our server was helpful and attentive. The live entertainment, Anthony and Claire, were a class act, not too loud and offered the opportunity to dance if you so choosed. Overall, a great evening, we will be back for sure.
Great place to go just for dinner or a special occasion. Celebrated my husbands 70th BD there. Wonderful time. Live entertainment makes it so fun. Definitely recommend
First time at Pico Tavern. The food was delicious. I had the linguini and clams, stuffed mushrooms, and the apple dessert. The entertainment was fabulous, Anthony Duke. We will be back again and again.
Love the food here! Service is excellent
Not a place for causal conversation on Saturday nights. The only thing that we do't like is the loud music and entertainers. Many of the diners make it a night for dinner and dancing. It can be very crowded so make sure you get a reservation.
Really impressed with the ambiance. Service was very good. The lobster and shrimp over fettucinne was a real disappointment. The shrimp were pure rubber... over cooked to death. My drinks were good, but $13 for Dewars White Label on the rocks, outrageous. We will not be returning.
The food, room, drinks, and entertainment were great. Our service was not. The waiter barely came by ... we had to look for him numerous times. Despite that we will go back and give it another chance.
This was my husband's and my 1st time coming to Picco's and maybe our last. Food was ok but never got water refills even though our glasses remained empty for more than 15 minutes. Also when our food arrived we never got asked if we wanted fresh pepper but other customers from other tables did get asked. They did have Entertainment and that was ok .
On our way out when I complained to the manager about the service she was very nice and apologetic.... Maybe they were too busy and maybe it would have been better to sit at the bar instead, and have dinner there.
We have been to Picco and its earlier versions over the years. The current ownership has turned the food part around although the menu is very limited. There are two distinct areas, a comfortable restaurant, and separate bars. Bar area looks to be busier and preferred by regulars. Since Picco's is in the bottom of a high rise and surrounded by luxury apartments and condo's the crowd is local. When we arrived there was no one at the desk and they seemed surprised we had made a reservation. The wait room staff were all sitting around one of the dining room table talking and eating. It just made the entry appear sloppy and disorganized given the rather upscale look of the interior. Waiter seemed to be rushing us in the beginning and then was inattentive at the end. The whole experience was mediocre and sloppily handled, at best. With so much competition it seems this will be a local crowd only place.
Went to hear the great guitarist, Mark Sganga, and the delicious brunch was a plus. Really good options
Great meal first time at Picco Tavern. Both food and service were exceptional. Maitre d' Vincenze and Server Arturo were impressively attentive and accommodating, providing the best overall service experience we've had in a local restaurant in a long time. Food was equally impressive. The meatball appetizer was great. I had the "Leave Your Hat On" entree, which was orechiette pasta (thus the hat) with sausage and cherry peppers in a fennel sauce. My wife had the Grouper special. The best grouper we've tasted since last time we were in Aruba. We moved to the bar area after dinner and enjoyed the entertainment (Julian and Dominique) which was excellent. Highly recommend this place. We certainly will be back.
Good food slow service
We loved this place, great service, great food, great atmosphere and I had a nice Rib Eye for $21
Definitely a wonderful place to have brunch. It has the right mixture of foods that would accommodate anyone's taste and the atmosphere was intimate which made our time spent even better. Great menu for a great price.
This is the second time here. We went to see a band and for Valentine's Day. Food was great and staff very friendly. Michael , the owner, very attentive. We will be back.
As usual it was a very good experience however it was Valentine's Day and we went specifically because they are one of the few places where you can dine and dance. However, I guess because they wanted to put out as many tables as possible they used the dance floor for tables and therefor no dancing so it was a very disappointing evening in that respect - but we have been there many times and will continue to go, just not on Valentines Day.
Food was hit and miss. The grouper was excellent; the duck was overcooked and almost impossible to eat. Service was very poor. The saving grace was the ambience which was fun with live music and an atmosphere that welcomed patrons taking to each other.
Great dinner, great food, fun place. All enjoyed dinner.
Great service. Interesting food. Fun for a date.
Varied menu with decent preparation, good portions. Average wine list, some overpriced even for a restaurant. Entertainmnet was dated, but adequate for the crowd. Large restaurant but still maintained some coziness. Bathroom through glass doors and down a chilly hallway took away a bit. Tripped on the warped floors by the bar ( before I had a drink). Two bars were adequately placed near the entertainment stage with decent amount of seating. However, pricy cocktails without an adequate preparation. Valet parking was great, especially with the cold weather! Kind, helpful staff.
Great place to eat. Valet parking was a plus. Entire staff was attentive and professional. Will definitely return in th future.
Compared to same dishes other resturants..priced a bit higher.
Service was sloppy...wrong drink, entree came before salad....
WHAT WAS MOST UPSETTING WAS ALTHOUGH WE DO LIKE THE PLACE AND ITS VIBE...WE WENT THERE TO SEE ANTHONY AND CLARE THAT NIGHT. BEFORE THE DUO'S SET STARTED YOU COULD SEE ANTHONY PRESENT AT ONE POINT WITH A MIC IN HIS HAD...THE DUO STARTED 8PM WITOUT ANTHONY AND A BACK UP CALLED IN. I WAS INSULTED THAT MANAGEMENT DID NOT MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT WHY ANTHONY HAD LEFT THE BUILDING. TWO STAFF MEMBERS JUST DUSMISSED IT AS "I DON'T KNOW"....NOT ACCEPTABLE AFTER HE WAS ADVERTISED FOR THAT EVENING.
Pico was much better than the previous restaurant I the same location. The food was excellent. They had a Trio singing. Many people were up dancing. You should give it a try.
Place gets better every time we are there. Service is very friendly and timely. Food has always been excellent and the music is always a plus. Did notice less Pasta entrees on the menu this time. Will keep on coming back.
First I want to say it truly is a beautiful place. Loved the inside and the outside appearance. We were seated by the door. It took about 10 minutes to get a waiter and when we did he said he would be with us in a minute. That took another 5 minutes. We had 6:15 reservations and were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant. So being overly busy was not an excuse. Nothing I hate more than sitting there waiting for service while people that came after us got a waitress right away. When sitting by the door you get the cigarette smoke wafting in from the smokers directly outside the front door. Before we asked to move we ordered our food. They did accommodate our wishes and put us at a table in the back. From start to finish we saw our waiter one more time when he asked us if we wanted desert which we said no to and then he brought us our check. We had to order drinks from the bus boy. Now the food. Our octopus appetizer was very good. Hats off for that. Great job. My zupa de pesce was awful. Very little seafood And what was there was stone cold. My wife ordered the rack of lamb. Cooked well but the "sauce" it came with was as she describe "disgusting". She separated as much as she could of the lamb from the sauce and ate what she could.
I don't believe I would ever go back to give it another try. If either the food or the service were bad then maybe. But a bad waiter and bad food not a chance.
