   Gavi was very pleasant this past Sunday evening. We were given our choice of high tops that we had reserved. There was a little lag upon ordering our drinks. It took about 15 minutes to get them. There were only 2 of us. Service was pleasant and accommodating. We were both pleased with our food; chicken parm and spaghetti and meatballs. It was a relaxing dinner. I am a regular at Gavi and it was a typical summer evening. Overall A- 😁

   Food was great. Service was amazing. We go here about once every couple months. Wide selection of wines as you would expect. Pizza is probably the best pizza in town

   My sister brought me here for my birthday because it is her favorite restaurant. We arrived on time and were told that we would have to wait because our outdoor reservation was only for two people and there were three in our party (The reservation was for 3. I made it through OpenTable). We were told we could sit inside (it is so loud inside that it is impossible to talk) or we could wait until a table outside was done paying. We were finally seated after 20 minutes after reminding the hostess twice that we were waiting. Our meal took over an hour and a half. We waited for over 40 minutes from the time we were done with our salads (we never did figure out the right way to eat the salmon tartare) until our entrees arrived. When asked about the wait, the server lamely told us that the delay was because "it was being prepared with love." It's too bad they couldn't have started 20 minutes earlier with the love. Even then, my mom had ordered veal marsala and chicken marsala was brought. My veal piccata was incredible. Perhaps the best I've ever had. It's really too bad because I never want to go back to experience such awful service again. You really embarrassed my sister. She has been going to your restaurants since you were on Broadway really wanted us to be impressed with your restaurant.

   The food is very good. We were there on a Monday night and it was very busy, so it may have been that they were not expecting so much business, but service was very very slow and the waiter was often nowhere to be found. The food was right up there with food I had in Italy, so that made up for the slow service

    FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING AND AN EXCELLANT VALUE. iT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND VEAL ON A RESTAURANT MENU. THAT, ALONE, WOULD GIVE ME A REASON TO GO BACK, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I CAN CHOOSE MY PREFERRED SAUCE. DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SELECT YOUR MEAT AND SAUCE TO MAKE IT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

    Excellent food and service! The place is a bit noisy. I wish restaurants like this one would dispense with the large screen TVs with sports on them - it detracts from the ambience and makes it feel more like a sports bar instead of a high-end restaurant. A LOT of food - which is typical for American restaurants, but how about try half the food for half the cost!

    Reserved an outside table on open table, but staff didn’t get that request. However, the hostess found a small, but entirely adequate table outside & we were very happy. Food was outstanding as always. Took a little bit for our waiter to “warm up” but he did. One wine order (of 3) was incorrect, but we decided to just go with it. Enjoyed a lovely conversation w/ Flavia. Piazza Gavi continues to b a favorite.

    Seated quick and wine choices from waiter was good. Plentiful portion and food came out quickly. Wrapped the leftovers in to go container in celephane which was appreciated

    Showed up 5 min early. Waited at my table for 10-15 min before the waiter came to the table. Didn’t say hello. Just stood there. I ordered a drink. Sat at my table and 25 min later I still didn’t even have a drink. Meanwhile the table adjacent to me, with the same waiter, had ordered, received and were eating dinner salads and bread in the time I was sitting there. Got up and walked out.

    Second time going and it was our 10 yr anniversary. Service was terrible, I was treated like the doorman. Waiter brought frozen bread to table, hardly ever came back to check on us. Night and day difference from first experience. For the cost, I would have expected better service!!

    Our overall experience was very good. The only problem with Gavi is the indoor noise level. When conditions for outdoor seating are good, this is a very good choice for dining.

    Moderately priced neighborhood restaurant. We prefer seating on the patio where it's much quieter than the indoor tables. Service is friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, and southern Italian. We both had dinner salads and mushroom ravioli which were very good.

    Food is outstanding, service was dysfunctional. Had to wait for a server, long times between waiter check ins, waited for food….Beautiful night on he patio and they insisted on a heater, literally much warmer outside than in as we broke into a sweat. Someone other than our server delivered our bill after waiting way too long. One of our favorite Italian restaurants when we visit Tucson, won’t be back.

    We celebrated a birthday at Gavi's and, as usual, enjoyed a wonderful evening. Flavia (manager) greeted us warmly and had our favorite table waiting for us. Then, our favorite server, Omar, took over and ensured all of our needs were met in prompt fashion. Of course the food was delicious with everyone having a different entree. |We'll all be back soon!
