All good this trip. Would ho back in a heartbeat & will recommend.
The Sunday night $25 special is a good deal.
We had a delicious dinner here last week. The squash capellacci were amazing and everyone loved their meals. We’ll be back!
Great service, and classic Italian. A great place for a weeknight.
This place is beyond compare. The risotto is the best in SF.
We went to Piazza D'Angelo for a small birthday gathering and attending a show at the Throckmorton Theatre after dinner. All our meals were delicious. The service was great. The staff was courteous and attentive. The ambience was very nice. It had everything I look for in a restaurant.
The food was awful. My veggie plate was burned and had many fewer veggies than the last time I ordered it. My partner's pasta was drenched in oil. We will not come back.
Very good experience. Will continue to patronize this restaurant.
After an 8 mile hike (without Eminem) in Muir Woods, our group contracted pervasive hangryness. Everyone was bickering and falling into the despair of passive-aggressiveness, but quality, authentic cibi di italiano pulled us through! While the atmosphere flirted on the side of formal, our more casual, six person person family still felt right at home! The bread and olive oil possessed a sharp, sumptuous flavor of green olive, satisfying the initial cravings, and the dinner that soon followed...well, don’t forget about it! Excellente!
Service was the worse possible. Entree arrived early into my appetizer. Food was sloppy. The food was plopped in the plate with no finesse as if the chef was drunk or angry. My pasta was sitting in orange oil. Awful and I used to adore this little bistro. The waiter was completely out of his element. He was pleasant but had no idea how to care for a table. Will never recommend. Bad show Piazza.
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Marin County . Good food, Italian style ambience, and great location.
The Veal Scallopini with artichoke was amazing ! As always the service was top notch and their wine choices go very well with the food selections. Love this restaurant.
My husband and I had an outstanding first dining experience at Piazza d'Angelo and are looking forward to our next visit. We were seated immediately at our reserved table and were soon enjoying fresh bread and wine. The dipping oil is addictive - loaded with garlic, parsley, and other seasonings. I think I could make a meal of it with the walnut bread. We shared a cesar salad - crisp, lightly dressed and with a generous amount of shaved parmigiana . For my entrée, I chose a half order (nice option available for all of the pasta dishes) of tortelloni della casa, which proved to be four fat, tender tortelloni stuffed with ricotta and spinach in a creamy tomato sauce. So good. My husband chose the orecchiette con broccoli di rabe, which is not sauced but seasoned with Calabrese sausage. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and not too bright. The service could not have been more attentive. The prices were quite reasonable; with a bottle of wine, and after leaving a 25% tip, our bill was still under $100. As frequent diners, we have experienced few such places in Marin so this is a welcome find.
Fabulous in all ways
Really well run despite being so popular.
Been to Piazza D'Angelo several times and have always had a fine meal. Staff has always been very friendly, welcoming and generous.
Very good value for 3 course meal at $25. The service was attentive and friendly.
Didn’t like being in the side room. Service just ok.
Valentine’s Day and the waiter ordered something that I didn’t want
Amazing! Awesome time! Great food!
Drinks and server took forever, food was bland. I've had better lamb from Trader Joe's. Tiny portion of kid pasta was $10, my toddler was still hungry. Spent $20 on butter and penne which probably tasted better than our main course. The Frito misto was soggy, terrible experience.
The food was good, but I was disappointed with the limited menu, by which I mean, there were only two entrees that appealed to me, one of which, the chicken Marsala, I was not in the mood for so I settled for a pizza
Pizza D'Angelo has always been at the top of my list or lunch and dinner whether or not it was just the two of us or when we are with more of our friends. Sometimes we have a group of 18 or more. We have had private luncheon meetings. They also have outdoor dining. Suzy Doyle
Wonderful dining. We thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and food. The location is a plus. It's great to go for a hike in Mill Valley and then to dine at Piazza D'Angelo. Definitely recommend them. We return as often as we can. Enjoy!
a little disappointed in my steak salad. Needed more veggies. Steak was delicious and cooked the way I like it, the salad part was skimpy.
Wonderful meal brunch/lunch 90th birthday celebration for Mom! Service was excellent. Also for the oldsters in our group...it was easy to walk up the ramp instead of using the stairs. First time at this restaurant for several people in our party, and they said they will come back...worth the drive from the East Bay Area.
The noise level was unbearable,
we could not hear each other! too bad, we love your food and ambiance, but would not recommend
We sat by the front window and got a view of Mill Valley pedestrian flow. Lots happening on a Friday evening.
The food was great. Our server was great. Anticipated our needs without being omnipresent.
This was our first time there and we reserved a table pre- theatre. Very attentive waiter provided us with excellent service. We had salad and pasta. Everything was fresh and delicious. Nice gluten-free section on menu. With the suggestion of our waiter, I ordered a regular pasta dish with the gluten-free pasta and theirs was the best gluten- free pasta I have ever tasted.
We ate early dinner Sunday so there were several families. Good mix of date tables and family tables. Very popular- it filled up by 6pm. Nice place with really good food and service. Would definitely return next time we’re in town.
My husband and I met a friend of mine from school days. We had such a lovely time talking and eating the delicious meals. I had the sautéed prawns with sautéed artichokes and spinach. My husband had the huevos rancheros and my friend had the frites and a caesar salad. We were all delighted with the food and the bread with the wonderful dipping sauce. Can't wait to go back for more!!
A perfect experience. The menu was creative. Everything on it was enticing. Our choices (lunch group) were perfect. The water outdid himself. Everyone was friendly.
Food is only ok. It’s the whole experience that makes it worth the prive
Service was so inattentive, we had to get up from table Multiple times to find our server.
Never brought the usual bread basket, even after we asked...
After meal, we again had to hunt for someone to finally give us check ( not our server) and again had to hunt for someone to charge our card... smh
Very enjoyable dinner w friends. Attentive service. Food is alway good here. Great wild mushroom risotto. Salads fresh and good but could use a bit more attention to flavors and dressing. Specials are usually very good as they were tonight. A can’t go wrong evening out.
Very enjoyable! As always!
Long-time favorite of ours. Reliably good food and service.
Always reliable in the best way. Casual and friendly Mill Valley restaurant.
The food is good, and I am grateful for the gluten-free options. But the service continues to be very lacking. The server seems completely disinterested in our presence at the table. No personality, no smiles. We were seated in the outside area.
