Piazza D'Angelo Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I met a friend of mine from school days. We had such a lovely time talking and eating the delicious meals. I had the sautéed prawns with sautéed artichokes and spinach. My husband had the huevos rancheros and my friend had the frites and a caesar salad. We were all delighted with the food and the bread with the wonderful dipping sauce. Can't wait to go back for more!!
Service was so inattentive, we had to get up from table Multiple times to find our server.
Never brought the usual bread basket, even after we asked...
After meal, we again had to hunt for someone to finally give us check ( not our server) and again had to hunt for someone to charge our card... smh
Very enjoyable dinner w friends. Attentive service. Food is alway good here. Great wild mushroom risotto. Salads fresh and good but could use a bit more attention to flavors and dressing. Specials are usually very good as they were tonight. A can’t go wrong evening out.
We needed a quiet table for our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter(18 years old) to celebrate the holidays. We made a reservation but were about 5 minutes late. No problem. We were given a quiet table in the rear with a view of the outdoor dinging which was lovely. The staff was attentive and professional and the food was very good. It is an Italtian restaurant but the kids are steak eaters and the food was well presented and perfectly prepared. It was a wonderful chance to visit with everyone in a pleasant atmosphere. The meal was a delight. Thank you DAngelo.
Piazza D'Angelo serves delicious Italian food that is creatively prepared. From the caesar salad to the veal scallopine to the chocolate cake with almond gelato, we enjoyed every course! The bartender makes excellent drinks and the wine list has something to offer for everyone. The restaurant has an intimate yet lively atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable dining experience.
We were seated on the patio with heat lamps which were welcome as it was the coldest night of the year. We both ordered the veal scaloppini which was with artichokes and delicious sauce. The sides were spinach and I had broccolini instead of potatoes which were wonderful also.
I would highly recommend this.
We have always enjoyed the food and service but...this time is was less than enjoyable.
The restaurant was not full but we were seated way in the back in a corner with glass doors which made for a chilly environment. Food was not up to the usual standard. Service was lacking. I had a gift certificate and when we received the bill the credit was not applied, had to ask the server to fix the bill, this causes me to be uncomfortable. I go out to relax - not to face conflict.
I Love the atmosphere. The food was ok. They do not have much options for vegaterians. I am a vegaterian. I ordered the fettuccini and asked them to omit the bacon. it was not anything special. The pizza may have been good, I dont know. Overall, I would go back for the atmospher but definately not the food.
Very skimpy sized portions. Two of us each ordered the “large” size pasta. In each case, it consisted of only EIGHT raviolis/tortellinis. My son ordered the “Italian hamburger,” and he only ate a quarter of it because he said it was extremely salty. This is a boy who usually inhales a half pound burger.
We eat there frequently. This time was very disappointing. Table was dirty with several wet, brown rings on the paper. Obviously it had not been changed. Bread plates appeared to have been used and had crumbs and food particles on them. They were busier than usual and the experience reflected it.
This has long been my go- to in Mill Volley . It has a warm atmosphere and a lively bar. The food has historically been excellent but everything was just mediocre the other night. The butternut squash ravioli was tough and bland and a chocolate cherry peppermint cake had little discernible flavor outside of the whipped cream. The bread, dip and salad were still good but the overall experience was just O.K. Disappointed.
The menu featured both classics and more creative items, at a reasonable range of prices. Not everything is perfect (the gelato/sorbet was poorly churned), but the short rib paprika saffron papardelle was absolutely fantastic, and may have been the best pasta we've ever had in the US.
I met old friends there for a reunion. Made a reservation for the upper part of the dining room as It is quieter. We were delighted with the lunch special menu where we could have a great 2-course meal for $14.95. The food was very good and our waiter didn’t rush us as we had so much to talk about.
We wanted dinner before going to a movie and it was great for that. We both had a salad and the smaller portion of a pasta dish. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly. The olive oil dipping sauce that comes with bread is fabulous! I would go back for that alone! We also each had a glass of the zinfandel and were in and out in plenty of time to make our show.
