Best restaurant in downtown Mill Valley!
NAaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbbbcccccccccdddddd eeeeeer ffffffff gggggggg hhhhhhh iiiiiii
Service was great!! A little too noisy. But overall everything was good.
If they are going to put butter in the pasta, they should disclose that. They should not allow dogs in the restaurant under the owners' tables, despite the difficulty of Marin dog owners.
Their lunch specials are delicious , the perfect amount and great value. It was a cold day and we sat by the fireplace which made it so cozy and perfect. Service was good too.
New Year’s Eve dinner. Lucky to get a table on short notice. Food and service always consistently good!!
Great nearby restaurant for when you want to be local but can’t bear to cook at home again - very respectable wine menu too!
Our waiter was very efficient and professional. Asked if we wanted to order for our kids right away which was good. We felt very well taken care if during our entire dining experience. We’ve always been very happy with the food there. Definitely one of our favorites!
As usual, the food was good, staff pleasant, and atmosphere upbeat. A nice place for a post Christmas dinner.
Way too loud! Why not use some noise cancellers
I was hosting a friend for a birthday celebration. I asked for a special table. Apparently one needs to be more specific. The table was in the back dining room with a view of a service area, kitchen entrance. We were also across from a large party of 10-12 with accompanying noise and bustle. I was not happy with this table. It was less than special.
Celebrating a friend’s birthday.
Great local place. Very noisy during happy hour but then it calmed down.
We always enjoy delicious meals at Piazza D'Angelo.
Love this restaurant!
Great service, good portions and tasty food, which is consistent with all other dining experience here. Thank you.
A welcome dining venue on a rainy Friday night. We were in town for a concert and thought the menu looked good here.
Turned out to be a lively, warm and friendly place full of what seemed like local folk in full on holiday spirit bringing us along for the ride.
The dishes were tasty and ample (that risotto! avoided the scale next day). The beet salad with blue cheese "mousse" was tangy and positively addicting. ( Yup. Beets!)
Our server, Angel, was surely one and made the surprise Tiramisu birthday dessert memorable for my friend complete with candle and serenade.
We hail from the East Bay but might trundle over again just for this place.
The night we were there, there was a very noisy bunch of men first at the bar and then taking many tables in an adjacent room. Very, very noisy. We've been here before, and this isn't the norm, fortunately...
Great food, we could talk over business issues without feeling like the next table was on top of us. Our server took care of special dietary needs.
Our server was good but the night was very busy so it took a while for the food to arrive at our table
Neighborhood friends who get together for dinner out
Enjoyed the truffle dishes that were part of the special truffle week. But other food was excellent also. Service was speedy and we were in a small room so it was quiet.
Lovely truffle dinner. We both had the carpaccio and it was lovely! Thank you for a nice dinner. Server Jose was great!
Friendly staff, great food.
Always good food and great selections!
I keep giving this place chances and I’m disappointed each time. Everything way below average. Bread was cold, scaloppine dry and rubbery, mashed potatoes cold, risotto tasteless and to top it off the service was awful.
Always satisfied with the overall service to food at this restaurant. They do a wonderful job managing this restaurant. One of our favorites.
Always fabulous. This is one of our favorites.
Very well run family-managed restaurant: friendly service, consistently good food, welcoming ambiance, diverse bar, children-friendly, with some good private and outdoor seating.
Waited a bit but it was well worth the wait. Veal Scallopini was delicious. Service was perfect.
My friend and I always have the wonderful burger and a Caesar salad. The server divided them for us which is very helpful. We come once a month and are never dissatisfied
Fabulous, as usual!
Entertaining friends, the husband had just completed successful chemo therapy, time to celebrate. Rosario was our server who had great table management skills. Gave us plenty of time to sit and relax, enjoy our drinks and knew when we were ready to order. Chemo took away our friends taste and smell, so he didn't order; the wives ordered the salmon, I had the halibut. All were moist and full of flavor. Enjoyed a bottle of our favorite Antica Sangiovese which we brought from home. Corkage was a reasonable $25.
Great time was had by all celebrating the successful completion of chemo by our friend at our favorite Mill Valley restaurant.
If I had to say something not so positive, it was the pungent scent from the perfume that was worn by the woman who poured the water; thought I was going to have an asthma attack. No one drank water for fear she would return.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly waiter, delicious food, best alcoholfree Mojito - we will be back soon!
A late afternoon dinner for 4 at D'Angelo's for a birthday celebration should have been easy. Service was slow and inattentive. The birthday person's veal entree was tough. The server had to be reminded 4 times to bring a salad; the other 2 had been served in a suitable time, leaving one without for about 20 minutes. Our 2 roast chicken (3 course meal) and Branzino were very good. On Open Table, we had notified that it was a birthday. Rather than bringing a dessert to the birthday person, the server used one of our two desserts (included in 3 course meals ordered by 2 diners) to serve the person. It was embarrassing and a major disappointment.
As a two-decade patron of D'Angelo, I have seen ups and downs and was thrilled to find the restaurant is on an upswing. The fireplace room is always warm and cozy and the homemade pastas are terrific.
We took two friends Saturday night to a restaurant we have been to a number of times. We each had a different entree. All were beautifully presented and very tasteful. Our waitress Angela was delightful. Service was prompt, professional and courteous. It was a superb evening and our friends, who had never eaten here, will be coming back.
D’Angelo is pretty consistently delicious. I’ve been eating here for many, many years, and the quality, freshness, and presentation all very satisfying.
Wonderful meal. Restaurant was kind enough to wait for one of our party who hot stuck in traffic for an hour. Quite a noisy party next to us, probably not reflective of all customers. Would recommend. Authentic Italian
It was a lovely birthday evening there with friends. The wait staff was excellent. The owner even more so!
I’m so sick of going out to nice restaurants and having terrible service. Don’t act like you’re doing me a favor waiting on me. It’s your job. I’m in the food industry and have trained and managed waitstaffs for much of my career. Email me if you want to train your servers how to sell and give good service.
Vela and lobster were overcooked risotto and salad were good server was not on top of things. Food and drinks delivered to wrong table
Bus service was good. Everyone was cordial but seemed untrained
