   Great location and lovely staff. Food typically consistently great. However, last night the caramelized onions on the pizza were barely even cooked. The heater by which our table was, was filthy, with garbage and food bits behind it.

   When we arrived there was no front staff to greet us and such a crowd in the doorway it was claustrophobic. Finally got someone working behind the bar to seat us for our reservation. The table was much too small for 5 people and with a heater right under our feet it was very hot and uncomfortable. Our waitress Mary was nice but clearly didn’t have a clue what she was doing. Was always “going to get her notepad” between drink orders and food orders. There was plenty of times that our water glasses were empty and she didn’t come back for refills. Our drink menu has no prices. The drinks were served not mixed with all the alcohol on the top. My friend ordered a vegetarian sandwhich and she was given one full of meat which she immediately spit out. The entrees came out very staggered - myself and another friend had to wait 10 minutes after the others at our table were served. When it came time for dessert the waitress rang in two orders wrong and the expediter was rude and basically told us we ordered chocolate cake when we didn’t. Another wait. Half the table was done dessert before the others had theirs. And again - no water. No clean utensils for desert. We had to wipe off red sauce from our forks and spoons to eat our desserts. Took way too long for our bills at the end too. My first and last time I will go to piatto. Birthday ruined and I still had to spend $70. Will not recommend. Very upset.

   It was okay. Nothing special. I did not find there was a lot of toppings on the pizza. Mostly just a real strong tomato sauce that overpowered the spices and bread. I did like how spicy the salami was as I was not expecting that kind of heat, that was a pleasant surprise. The Caesar salad was good. The service was good and the atmosphere as well. But the food was meh. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. First time visiting, and I am glad I went. But I don’t know if I’ll go back.

   Appetizer came out within minutes, then waited 1 hour for our meal. Our waitress never checked on us during this hour. Food was great.

    My fiancé and I are regular customers and we were so excited to see the old amore pizza in the featured section! We haven’t been there as much since it left the main menu :( We love this place but the old amore with zucchini and sausage needs to stay! Our friends of ours agree!

    had a great family night out supper. My only mention would be that 2 of us ordered the flourless cake for dessert. It arrived and it it tasted like coffee. We asked the server, she said no coffee in it. Then 20 min later comes back to say there's expresso in it. My mom cannot have coffee or caffeinated tea. My daughter is young and obviously did not like hers bc she's a child and thinks coffee tastes "gross". We told our server and she didn't apologize, offer another dessert or to remove it off our bill bc no one even ate it. Our bill was over $200 for the 4 of us. Which was great and it's not about the money, but there was absolutely no reaction. On the plus side, Piatto is a family favorite, especially Midtown, the ambiance is wonderful and food tastes great, except next time we'll skip dessert.

    Much too noisy since there’s nothing to absorb the sound. Server was too quick to serve and leave table, not asking if anything else was wanted. Some items on menu not available for lunch :-(

    Pretty good for a casual dinner with friends. Our table was dead Center of the restaurant, so felt a little less intimate than I would have liked but understandable since we had a decent sized party.

    I always enjoy eating there in spite of the noise levels. What happened to the pizza crust yesterday? It was as hard as concrete and I had to ask for a steak knife to cut through it.

    A NYE tradition, however this year the Pre Fixe menu was a little off centre. So obviously we didn’t get it. Caesar salads to start, dolce for a main, can’t go wrong. Cocktail menu could use a bit of work, like a few more classic cocktails, Caesar/old fashioned/cosmo/martini. Otherwise, always a great time. Skipped desert and sparkling wine this year because we had some at home to have with the fireworks. Piatto is always our goto for events downtown or last minute date night

    New Years Eve. Appreciate the wheelchair accessibility. Noise level was too high for table conversation is my only negative observation. Service, food, timeliness were all excellent. Well coordinated wait staff

    Our server turned down the stereo system at our request as the hard services inherent in the building design tended to amplify all sound. You get points for that. I suggest you give some thought to using either a larger plate or a bowl for your lunch size salads: the ingredients are less crowded that way. Nice restaurant. I do recommend it.
