The food was very good (salmon, pork tenderloin). Other than that, average experience at best. (1) The music (hard rock) was way too loud. Why can’t restaurant owners and managers understand that the music should reflect the tastes/preferences of their clientele, not the staff? At least choose something that would appeal to a variety of age groups, and keep the volume low enough so that the customers can actually talk to each other. (2) Our server really wasn’t knowledgeable enough or professional enough to work in what I would consider an upscale restaurant. She was nice, but to the point of being intrusive, and some of her comments were...awkward. Not rude or inappropriate, just a bit odd. I think she was trying a little too hard to be personable or funny or something. Just be pleasant and polite; that’s all we need. And she smelled like an ash tray, which didn’t enhance our dining experience a whole lot.
Outstanding meal in a very COVID-19 safe environment. We split the ravioli appetizer and wished we hadn’t. It was so good we wanted more. I had the Bucatini Nero and it was amazing. Perhaps the best pasta dish available in OKC. My wife states the lamb meatballs with bucatini was delicious. Just a great place to go out, feel safe and have a wonderfully relaxed and delicious meal.
The food and drinks were not very good . Everything else was fine . A new Chef and bartender would be helpful.
Great salad and service
Chicken parmigiana was overcooked and lacked taste. The only chardonnay by the glass, at $14 a glass, way out of line in price and small pour. We traveled 60 miles round trip to try this restaurant. Our bill for two glasses of wine each, two entrees and one $10 small salad was over $150, not a good value, for what it was. Service was excellent though.
By far the best Italian food in OKC. The owner, Ennis, is so friendly and always at the restaurant. The bolanese reminds us of NYC, and the brandy ices are so delicious that we hate to stop at one. A gem of a restaurant in OKC.
The food was wonderful. The chef came out to the table to see how everything was. We had the Osso Bucco and the Bolonegse. The tiramisu was amazing too.
The ambience of Piatto is contemporary and elegant. There are several types of seating options, including at the attractive horseshoe shaped bar, booths and tables in the main dining area around the bar, more secluded alcoves and enclosed rooms for small groups. The cocktail and wine menu has good variety, including some wines by the glass that normally are served only by the bottle such as a Barolo and Brunello. I started with the "Italian Salad," which was very flavorful and not overly dressed. My main course was the veal involtini with a side of risotto and asparagus. All was very flavorful, well presented and in a reasonable portion size. The tomato cream sauce on the veal was outstanding. The bread served with the meal was focaccia style and freshly baked.
I enjoyed Piatto as a single diner at 8:30 on a Monday evening during the COVID-19 pandemic. That probably why I was one of only three or so parties in the restaurant. That noted, the entire staff was very attentive and made me feel welcome and appreciated as a single diner - which is not always the case. The owner stopped by my table, and the executive chef stopped twice and even asked me if I would like the asparagus rather than the usual side vegetable. I definitely will return!
One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Upscale but casual. Think seafood risotto, cacio e pepe, lamb osso buco, short rib bolognese rather than the more common "Italian-American" dishes. Attentive service, with the owner and sometimes the chef greeting guests. Good wine list with a variety of price points and some great cocktails. Beautiful round bar, where you can also get appetizers (arancini coming soon!) This is one of the few places I will dine in during the pandemic - distancing, masks (they will provide one if you forget), and sanitizing all around. Run, don't walk!
Always great! One of my favorites in OKC!!! The shrimp & pasta dish was fabulous and if they take that chocolate pie dessert off the menu I will be sooo mad!! Great place!!
Food was great, service was great. Manager stopped by our table to make sure everything was great. We will be going back. Extensive wine list, good cocktails.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. It did not disappoint! Loved everything about this place! Great food wonderful service.
4th time to eat here and I have yet to have anything brought to the table that wasn't outstanding. Really enjoy this place!!
My wife and I enjoyed a nice, quiet dinner for our anniversary. From the poached pear salad, to the seared salmon and the Osso Buco (which melted on your mouth), and Tiramisu, we were not disappointed! Enid and his team are top notch!
We loved everything about this restaurant from the excellent service to the impeccable food! We will be back!
In addition to the outstanding waitstaff at Piatto, both the owner and the chef each came to our table to talk to us and ask how everything was. The food here is amazing and beautifully served. We brought another couple with us who had not been there before and they too loved it an plan on going back. The environment is quiet, inviting and relaxing. Can't wait to go back again!
The gnocchi and caprese apps, Portabella salad and octopus pasta were all excellent. The soup and lemon cake were okay. Really good Italian food.
The food here was fantastic. I cannot recommend Piatto high enough. My entire family can’t wait to go back.
Enes checks on every table as does the chef. Food and service is an authentic interest. I wish them all the very best.
This was our first visit to Piatto. Everything was exquisite. It was a slow night which meant my wife and I had a lot of privacy but we also enjoyed long conversations with the chef, waiter and proprietor. They were all very pleasant and welcoming. Our meal from the focaccia bread to the tiramisu was fantastic. we are both looking forward to going back and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that enjoys fresh Italian.
charcuterie board was good
chicken parm. was good.
noodles were almost al dente.
everything was good but not great.
Delicious food, great servers, mask wearing, clean and socially distanced from others. We will return!
Piatto is one of the few restaurants I will dine-in during Covid. Masks, sanitizer, paper menus, no salt, pepper, etc. left on the tables. Appropriate spacing between seated guests. And of course the food is amazing. They have easy curbside pick-up if you prefer that. Don't miss the cacio e pepe, lamb meatballs, pork sugo, and tiramisu. And a Bellini if you're so inclined.
Awesome dinner! They knock it out of the park!
What a great meal we had! The Osso Bucco has to be the BEST in OKC! The Chicken parmigiana was also excellent—over home made noodles! I am sorry to say there was no room for dessert. Next time we will have to start with dessert and work our way back to the entree. LOVED dinner tonight!
We had a great dining experience, as always! Enes, the owner, is very accommodating, friendly & takes great care of us! The food is consistently delicious. I love their seared salmon & risotto, & my husband loves the octopus & bone marrow pasta. The beef carpaccio is wonderful! The restaurant is going above and beyond to follow all COVID-19 safety precautions! We highly recommend it!
This place is excellent. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The salmon is cooked to perfection. The homemade pasta was great. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Excellent experience.
Once again a wonderful meal!! 3rd time and everything was spot on, everything brought to my table was perfect.
Piatto has good food. The environment this evening was quiet, but it was so hot and uncomfortable.
Dinner was absolutely amazing, as always. We stumbled on this gem and have made it a point to return every trip to OKC. While for some, the menu may seem limited, it is done to perfection.
The restaurant is beautiful and has s floor plan that encourages choices in seating locations. Our food was delicious and well-presented. Our waiter James was excellent: helpful, knowledgeable, and just friendly enough to remain professional. Chef Bill is a marvel in the kitchen. The menu is eclectic while remaining Italian in genre.
Decided to take our reservation to the gorgeous bar. Our bartender had excellent suggestions (I went with the pork sugo) and was very friendly. The whole restaurant was gorgeous and a great place for a good conversation with friends. We were checked in on just the right out. The food came out perfectly and the wine was always ready when we needed it! Can't wait to be back.
My wife and I decided to give this a try for a date night and we are very glad we did! We had the house made ravioli as an appetizer, ceaser salads, then the salmon entree. Old fashioned is 👌🏻. Owner and chef both came by to see how everything was which is very classy. Everything was on point, we will be back!
We were seated at a lovely table and a server immediately came to address any needs we may have. A wine list was offered and a fabulous suggestion was made, to which we were most appreciative as it paired perfectly with our meal. The food was beyond amazing, just as it was the time before. Chef came by and spoke with my husband for a few minutes at which time we complimented him on his craft. There is no way to be disappointed when visiting this establishment.
Wonderful meal! Chicken parmigiana was delicious! Seafood risotto- my daughter loved it. She also had the roasted gnocchi and said it was the right amount and very tasted. I had the poached pear salad with a nice vinaigrette on the salad. No room for dessert 😞. Quiet atmosphere and relaxed pace of dining. Will return!!
Wonderful food and great service
6 o z filet was delicious
Lamb shank was so tender it fell off the bone and had the best flavor.
Cant omit the Starter Italian salad —yummy!
Atmosphere, Service, Food were all outstanding. We will definitely be back and will recommend Piatto to friends.
