Piatti is also an ideal venue for hosting your private events. Whether it's a holiday party, special anniversary or birthday dinner, shower or celebration, we offer several menus at different price points, as well as an extensive wine list to accommodate your needs.
View Private Dining DetailsWe have been to Piatti 3 times over the last few months. It is a good family restaurant but not for foodies. The food is fine, not special. The first two times the service was excellent. This last time, we had to look for our waitress. The new décor is very nice.
My daughter loves Piatti so we went for her birthday celebration. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent suggestions. We were all very satisfied with our meals.
The gnocchi was bland which was a special that day. The appetizer was hard to eat. When you pay that much for food it should be better than what I make at home.
Fish (Mahi Mahi) was not very tasty. Too much citris and herbs- overpowered this delicate fish. dessert and salad were very nice.
I love this restaurant. Great for a date, meeting a friend, or big group of friends.
One of my favorite restaurants for casual and comfortable dining. Everything is top notch, except the lunch menu is too limited in my opinion.
The restaurant glass of friend’s orange juice broke on its own, but our server handled the situation very well and Piatti’s paid for our lunch. Thank you for dealing with the situation in a very civilized way.

Great place for lunch with a good choice of menu selections.
Among the 6 different meals ordered for Easter brunch/lunch, I'd say we had a 50/50 success rate for diner "happiness": thought the biscuit and gravy brunch, veggie sandwich and sausage pizza were tasty and would probably order again. The Margherita pizza was rated "OK", the "ribs" pizza was "interesting, but wouldn't order again", and my father in law finished about 40% of his chicken ragout. He did eat the fresh fruit appetizer with gusto, and our whole table did like the donut hole appetizer. Delish! Our server was very sweet and ready to please -- when asked. She was not very observant, or anticipatory in her service. Had to flag her down for almost everything we needed, as well as getting our service started (didn't ask if we wanted drinks, etc. while we waited for the final guest to arrive at the table. Maybe this is what she is supposed to do, but normally you are given the opportunity to order drinks, etc while waiting for all your guests to arrive. At least at other restaurants this is the norm.....)
Excellent service and a good variety of meal choices on the menu. The mixed seafood plate was delicious and light - perfect fare for Good Friday!
Family in town.
Our experience was outstanding in both food and service. Our server listened to a concern about the food given a medical condition and was quick to suggest items that would work for us. The manager came by several times to ensure we were satisfied. We will go again when we return to the Seattle area even if we have to drive a distance.
Excellent service. Delicious food. Tables are spaced far enough apart that you do not feel on top of other diners. A great place to have great food and conversation.
The menu continues to disappoint. Piatti's used to be my "go to" place to meet friends. I like the atmosphere, the plentiful free parking and used to love the food. Now I am finding it expensive with limited choices. I have eaten here twice in the last month and am afraid that I am going to find some place else to meet friends for lunch.
Piatti is always reliable. I liked the menu better before the remodel and definitely liked the décor better. Food was fresh and tasty and the waiter attentive. There is a variety on the menu to satisfy most appetites.
Wonderful place to meet friends for lunch
Generally very good food, but I was disappointed in their menu options this week. However, my butternut squash ravioli were delicious. Please bring back the fig pizza - I miss it!
Everything about this place was great. Making a reservation was simple. The staff was relaxed, professional and accommodating. Our meal was lovely. I will come back again.
We have been having lunch at Piatti off and on for 24 years and we have always enjoyed ourselves until this last time. The prices seem to have been raised significantly compared to a year ago and they now charge for bread that is not as good as before when it was part of the meal. Even though we arrived at 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd, the service was extremely slow, about 45 minutes to be served. There were small insects (fruit flies?) flying around our table. We didn't think the food was as good as before. Looks like 3 big strikes to me.
After 24 years this is a big disappointment and I don't think we'll be back. It looked like quite a few other diners might have already made that decision because the restaurant looked half empty compared to earlier visits.
Food was awesome! The staff took care to actor to both me and my guest’s dietary restrictions. Definitely will be returning!
Food is very good as was the service.
Service was top shelf, food did not disappoint. First time here, will certainly return
It was good but cold where we sat
Very good service and food. Great vibes and good for a date
We dined at Piatti for a family birthday, and we have been there many times before. The service was excellent - first class - and we found it very hospitable. The food was good but not great - terrific ingredients, but the flavors didn't all blend right . Specifically, there was not enough Caesar dressing on the salad, and the Puttanesca sauce didn't seem quite balanced between the tomato and caper flavors. Also, I'm nostalgic - I preferred the warmer décor of the old Piatti, before the recent remodel. I will certainly go again, but Mama Melina has an edge over Piatti.
Pizza was good, pastas were below average. I could make way better pasta at home. My penne was beyond undercooked (Not al dente, I know what that is), bland tomato cream sauce, hardly any guanciale. My friend’s bucatini was sooo salty.
We needed a restaurant that could accommodate seven of us. Our experience was enjoyable; however, two of our entrees were just OK (Albacore tuna). The rest of our food was very good - appetizers, entrees and desserts were devoured. The restaurant was a bit noisy and being near the kitchen added to the decibel level.
I met my friend at Piatti and we both loved our experience. Our FAB waiter, Marshall, was great: friendly, helpful, attentive and fun. We had the beet salad which is my favorite one so far (and I order beets a lot), great wine from Tuscany, and, for me, a dieter's choice of lovely mahi-mahi with grilled radicchio. We split a light desert, sipped a bit more wine and promised to return. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively, parking great!, and many people around us celebrating birthdays and/or just a simple night with delicious food. I can't wait to return!
It was reserved from Google map which is super convenient. The bread was so delicious with olive oil and vinegar, one of the best I had so far. Pasta tasted great, even for me a person who is into pasta. And I like it. Environment and service were nice. We will definitely go again sometimes.
Hands down one of the best meals and service I have had in years. Can’t wait to go back!
Special was bad. Looked awful. Risotto was tough. Parmesan crisp was bitter. Too much truffle oil. I quit after a few bites. Manager comped it.
App was great and my husband enjoyed fish stew.
We were frequent visitors to Piatti before the major remodel. We still prefer the older room on the inside of the shopping center which retained some of the original features. We sat at the bar since we arrived early and had drinks and an appetizer. Bartenders were very friendly, drinks were great and the appetizer was forgotten but quickly fixed when prompted.
Dinner offerings were fewer than we remember from before the remodel. Our table for six had appetizers (excellent), salads & soups (very good) and 6 entrees, most of which were not served hot, rather just warm. Not a kind way to treat pasta or pizza.
We'll return again because we like the location and the small plates are excellent. Just not sure we'll stay for the whole dinner.
Everything was outstanding!
I wrote on my original reservation that it was my anniversary and we were hosting a small group of cousins to help celebrate with us. I then repeated this on two occasions- once on the phone when I called to move the reservation 15 minutes (Open Table incapable of making on-the-hour appts) and once again when we checked in. I expected Piatti’s to do something acknowledging our anniversary, like Palisades /Palomino/Tilth, etc. all have done for us. A card or a free dessert or a balloon or something. Why include a section asking if this is an XXXX event if you then do nothing? Disappointing when the rest of the evening was so nice.
I have eaten at Piatti many times and am never disappointed. Food is always very good, service is excellent, and I think they have enough choices on the menu so anyone and everyone could find something they enjoy.
We had a couple of small problems with a couple of dishes (too spicy, foreign object) our dishes were whisked away and replaced with no problems at all. Our server was experienced, polite and very personable. Have been here before and definitely will go back to Piatti's again
Piatti was the perfect space for our get-together. The staff was friendly, accommodating and competent. The menu had ample variety to meet the needs of the group. The food was delicious! We will definitely go again.
I was very disappointed by Piatti's this last time. The Caesar salad dressing was bland and their signature Chop salad was hardly chopped. The dressing was like milk and the portions of all the other things were minimal. The Putanesca was bitter. The portions were much smaller than they should have been for the price. Very surprisingly bad.
They have been so good in the past, I'll give them one more try, but if things aren't better, I'll never be back.
Great food and terrific service! It's also in a convenient location while one is shopping in University Village. I had the meatball dish (spaghetti) with pinot gris, while my partner had butternut squash ravioli with merlot. Great wine. The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable. Our only issue was that they seated up in an area where large groups would normally be cordoned off. It's a separate room, but wide open to the main dining room. The only other party in there was a large group of 12 or more, with 4 young children. The kids were not being mischievous, but were making a noticeable commotion opening Christmas presents and running back and forth to the restroom. At one point the 3 boys had locked themselves in the toilet stalls for fun, not allowing use by anyone else. The restaurant staff were oblivious to this activity, despite us pointing it out. So we just ate and left without dessert or lingering. We didn't understand why we were seated in that area with the main dining room more than half-empty.
Piatti is always my first choice at the University Village. Food is great, service outstanding, and it's relatively quiet compared to its nearby competitors. I have my favorite dishes and they are consistently excellent.
It's rare to find a restaurant that becomes a 'go-to' favorite these days with so many options, but Piatti remains at the top of my list.
