We were seated in a quiet part of the restaurant where a large door was open to the courtyard so we could see and hear the fountain just outside the patio area. It was a beautiful day with a nice breeze... it was all very relaxing. We ordered the calamari appetizer and enjoyed the crusty bread we dipped in the oil/balsamic vinegar mixture a waiter delivered with an impressive flourish. Our waitress was very professional and relaxed taking our order and checking on us just the right amount of times to be perfect. My oldest son and I had the veal piccata, my husband and the shrimp and orecchetti (the pasta was cooked perfectly), and our youngest had a small margherita pizza. My husband and I shared the cheesecake with the pomegranate/raspberry topping and hazelnut crust... it was fantastic! I had the Piatti Private Label Chardonnay from Napa and it was wonderful, too... We will definitely come back to this restaurant.
The food here was quite good, but not fantastic. The chicken alla mattone (chicken under brick) was a good deal... large portion and nicely juicy and savory. I recommend it. My son's pizza was fresh not lacked a certain something. The wine was reasonably priced. In all, this is a good place for a refined Italian meal at a fair price.
Sat on patio. Great atmosphere and Service. Food was superb!
Was very disappointed in the service. Ordered a bottle of wine, their most expensive Pinot noir, and we were informed they were sold out. It was around 7 on a Saturday evening and that seemed very odd. We asked for other wine r commendations and were told the manager would help us. No one ever came back to our table so we left.
The dish was made wrong. They took off bill but then no dinner. Was not enjoyable.
Perfect for Girls Night Out! Great choice of Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. We love to order the small Caesar salad and split an entree (their zucchini tagliatelle is the BEST!)
Very attentive to the fact that it was my husband’s birthday. It was very nice.
This is a very good meal albeit not your typical Italia menu. Goos serve, nice ambiance, and value make Piatti a great choice-I will go back for the Ciopinno!
Waiter was amazing and really personable. Great experience overall.
I had asked on the reservation for a table with a good view, but we were seated at a table for two where my back was to the window. Other tables for two next to the windows were open when we were seated.
When I entered Piatti's I was told that I did not have a reservation. I had to show my Open Table reservation, but the person handling this was curt and unpleasant. I use this restaurant for business meals often - three in the past three weeks, and I expected a more friendly welcome.
Food was fantastic. Waiters were great.
Food is always consistently good. Good service. A bit noisy.
Great experience. Our waiter was awesome. Food was delicious.
We had a great time! Our waiter was great too! We were out on a couples date night and the noise level was just enough to enjoy our conversations. First time for our husbands, they loved it!
Excellent food and even better service!
Wow...we had a great experience for being our first time. Our waiter was awesome, food was amazing! Definitely coming back soon♥
Fantastic staff made my last minute special occasion just perfect!
My daughter loves Italian food and loves to get dressed up. Piatti’s made her feel special and she loved her name on the menus. She will remember her 17th Birthday fondly and Piatti’s played a large part in that. Will definitely go back soon.
Wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner! The Parmesan chicken was delicious! Lovely evening.
Outstanding food great sitting and Excellent ambiance
It was great Valentines Dinner.. The server is great and weave had her before > Very good.
Spent Valentine’s Day with dinner with my two friends. The food was delicious and our server, Cody was very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed his demeanor. I usually go to the Piatti’s at the Quarry but will come to this one more often.
Best Italian I have had in San Antonio. Terrific food at a terrific price.
Great food, great service. We love this restaurant!
Food was great; disappointed in our server as there was no sense of urgency; always delays and couldn’t multitask
Food was bland. Was expecting better, very disappointed.
Yet another great dining experience at Piatti's Eilan! From the Tuscan potato soup to the salmon, everyone's dish was well prepared and tasty with excellent service/attention to our needs. We'll definitely go back! :-)
Enjoyed the experience. Fantastic customer service from our waiter; Aric.
The atmosphere is always great. Food wasn’t on point this time around. Ahi tuna was over seasoned and chicken was over cooked. Cannoli with lobster and crab was delicious. Calamari and spicy meatballs for appetizers were on point. Waiter very nice. Brought our friend a free dessert of her choice bc of the chicken. We will be back.
Great location and atmosphere
Great food. Great service. Jerry was a good server.
Great night... food was very good.
Excellent and all dishes served hot and flavorable. Secret dish is the mustard flavored chicken and angel hair. Good service and fun atmosphere. Cheers, Jack and Liz
We’ve been to both locations numerous times and the food is certainly tasty, but if you’re looking for value you won’t find it here. Two entrees, one shared salad, 2 beers, 1 tea, 2 coffees came to $105 before tip, so it’s not likely your everyday choice for dinner. Three small slices of veal piccata buried under a huge mound of spinach, while delicious, shouldn’t leave you hungry for $23.
Went for our 41st anniversary and everything went great, no issues other than being too full! First time customer and certainly will return.
The food was delicious, our server (Rod) was exceptional, and the restaurant went the extra mile to make my birthday special. I would highly recommend Piatti restaurant.
A birthday dinner with exceptional service. Personalized menu for the Birthday Girl was a great touch! One of my favorite italian restaurants of San Antonio!
When we arrived at the restaurant they had a high top table in the bar area. We had guests from out of town we assumed that we would have a table in the dining room area. We asked to talk to the manager and he apologized that they did not have a table in the dining area but they would seat us in the dining area as soon as possible. While we waited they provided us with drinks and an appetizer. The manager made a bad situation into a good situation. We go to this restaurant on a routine basis and the food was excellent as usual. Open table should consider placing an option when reserving that indicates if you want to sit in the bar area or the dining area.
