It was our first time eating at Piano Piano since it opened up in Leslieville. I had high hopes, after hearing great things from other locations. I booked reservations for 7:30pm, as a celebration dinner for my son's graduation. I had to secure my reservation with my credit card, which no one ever loves doing, but I understand when it's a busy restaurant, and they want to maximize capacity. My son's graduation ended early, so I called to see if we could move our reservation to 6:30. I was put on hold for 8 minutes. I hung up, and tried again for 15 minutes to get through. It was a scorching hot day yesterday, and walking 10 minutes there, to take our chance on a busy restaurant in that heat just wasn't an option. Because I couldn't modify my reservation online, we just waited the hour and walked over. But, that is not an ideal way of sorting out reservations. I don't think you can ask for a credit card reservation without having the ability to modify online. This alone would deter me from making another reservation. Once we got there, I let them know what happened, and the person at the the reservation table just said. "Oh....sorry that happened." Not inspiring another reservation, to be honest. We sat on the patio, which is pretty huge, and nicely layed out. Thankfully there was a tiny bit of a breeze and it was mostly shaded . The food was decent. My sons ordered pizza and they both enjoyed their food. My mom ordered the shrimp cocktail and proscitutto croquettes alla vodka. The shrimp were small and put directly on the ice (which melted in 5 minutes due to the heat) so after eating two of her shrimp, the rest were just sitting in water. The croquettes were described differently than how they came. Basically mozzarella sticks. Didn't tasted the prosciutto at all. Not great. I ordered the Rigatoni Carbonara. Pretty heavy and sticky with very little 'carbonara' (pork) at all. Overall, good. But, not amazing.

Get the Caesar salad. It's amazing! I love the vibe indoors. Outside good for a wide variety of ages. Even a relaxing couch area. Wish we'd asked for that!

This is the best Italian food we've had in the East End to date! The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, it came quickly, and the server was great. 10/10

Wife and I both ordered the carbonara, which was quite underwhelming for the price paid. Apps were all good (caesar salad, burrata, fritto misto) but portions were fairly small.
