We proudly offer authentic, organic, and simple Italian cuisine. Our pizza is baked in a brick oven and are all individually sized. Our thin and crunchy crust is so light and airy there’s no guilt in eating two pizzas. We won’t tell!
Pair your meal with our Italian wine list comprised of mostly organic wines. We also offer draft and bottled beers. Stop by and check out our daily specials.
While our pizzas are our most popular menu item, we also offer grass-fed steak, red snapper, and homemade pasta with gluten-free, organic pasta options.
Peccato solo una credit card. Per il resto tutto bene.
Good food and service. The atmosphere was quiet. Make sure to bring cash as they are cash only and they do not serve hard alcohol (wine and beer only). They also do not have a fryer in the kitchen so no fried foods if that’s what you’re looking for. However, the pasta and appetizer list is wonderful.
Truffle pasta tasted like lo mein. Pizza with “roasted peppers” had just raw green peppers. Manager didn’t care at all when we expressed dissatisfaction. Went for my friend’s birthday which we noted in reservation, they didn’t do anything for her birthday and they didn’t ask me about it when we were there. I wanted to leave ASAP so didn’t mention it to them. Overpriced for quality, and small portions.
It was great. Though they didn’t read the open table reservation. We were going there for my fiancées birthday and I wrote that it was a birthday-no mention of anything by the staff. Very disappointing in that regard. Everything else was great
rushed out the door here. i hate to rate a place w good food badly, but an old friend & i met here—we had reservations—& between the attitude of the servers & being rushed thru our meal, we were unable to experience our wine & pizza with any pleasure. also, beware: they only take cash & amex. i wont be going back.
We had a great Dinner at Piacere. The Pizza was real italian (thin and crispy) and delicious. Service was welcoming and fast. Price for value is good.
The ambiance at Piacere is second to none if you are looking for a casual, warm, wood-burning pizza restaurant with a gracious staff and, above all, a delightfully quiet and pleasant place to have dinner.
Wood walls, beautiful wood tables are neither too close nor too far, and the lighting is low but not dim.
The pleasant wine list is competitively priced, and the sound of Italian was heard from those behind the bar. The two dishes we tried were also pleasant, and I would return there without hesitation if I were looking for Italian food or pizza 'downtown.'
Perfect Food in great Location with friendly People. We love it very much! Thx!!! We‘ll coming back.
Best gluten free pizza in the city!
Nice location, very busy, Pizza a bit dry for my taste, but overall we had a good time.
Great food and service . Reasonable prices.
A more modern take on Little Italy
Average food that is expected from a tourist trap. Limited menu.
Great!! Incredible pasta and value. Great location!
Very fast service, delicious pizza! Strongly recommend anyone who loves Italian
We enjoyed our experience! It was lively inside but we wanted to sit outside & enjoy the nice weather. I had the scallops which were amazing. Perfect sear on the outside. My husband ordered the sausage it did not like the sauce. They made him an alternate dinner and took the first dish off the bill. It was great service and customer service
The manager was very friendly and welcoming. He made a special place for our family of ten people. The special was offered and it was homemade pasta and delicious sauce. We would definitely go there again.
We had a party of 10 and all ordered a variety of entrées and every dish was AMAZING! I highly recommend if your looking for authentic Italian food.
Dinner was good, the bread, squid appetizer and linguine fruitta de mar specials were very good. Salads were nice and fresh. Ghnocci and orchietta pasta dishes were just ok. Our server “Eddie-spaghetti” was fantastic. The tables outside are slanted and uncomfortable.
The food and setting was quite excellent. They worked hard to accommodate our group of 6. Watch out - cash and Amex at this place! Kind of a pain. Atm in the bathroom though.
We loved our evening at Piacere. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. We highly recommend this low-key, rustic spot!!
Good food but very small portions on the pasta.
What a wonderful experience! We dined here for an early dinner after getting soaked while visiting the Statue of Liberty. Our family was welcomed and the service was amazing. It was so difficult to choose from the menu because everything sounded too good, and we were pleasantly surprised by all the delicious options. We started with the octopus and potato app, and I had the halibut with clams (a special), my husband had the papperdelle with wild Boar (another special), my kids had the Napolatana pizza and linguine with clams. We finished with tiramisu to die for. The portions were very generous, and there was nothing left!!! Everything was so yummy and pleasant that we almost came back the next night from across town! Highly recommend to those who want to skip the tourist traps on Mulberry and enjoy an authentic Italian meal.
Their AmEx/Cash only policy is right on the menu, so not sure why other diners are complaining they didn't know. Also, the fact that this isn't right on Mulberry or Mott is a huge plus, at least to folks who aren't cheesy tourists who wants a manufactured Italian experience.
The pizza here is perfect, just as it should be. Crunchy, thin crust, homemade ingredients, high quality products. No liquor license but you can enjoy a good selection of wine and beer.
I think the staff are great - attentive service and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. I can tell they get a lot of American tourists and dare I say, often feel unappreciated for not being a typical American-Italian tourist trap. My husband likes certain toppings on his pizza and every time we go, there is a long pause, gentle negotiation and final acceptance of his order; clearly the staff here appreciate authentic, Italian food, cooked well. I certainly appreciate it and if you are looking for an authentic experience without the tourist bells and whistles, you will too.
Great service and amazing food. Top notch pasta and pizza!
Great food at a competitive price! The service was excellent and the location convenient to our hotel.
Quiet, rustic interior and great food. We will be back when we are next in town!!
Don’t let Piacere’s proximity to Little Italy fool you: this is thE REAL DEAL, operated by an Italian from Italy and not Queens (not knocking Italians from Queens, just making a culinary distinction). The food is not overpriced touristy garbage as can be found just a block away (though if that’s what you want, keep walking a block south) it’s the type of menu you would find in Italy (north and south, it’s quite mixed). Case in point: what restaurant serves pasta alla bottarga? THIS ONE! Squisito (un po’ più di bottarga sarebbe stato ancora meglio però sono golosa ;)
An unexpectedly delicious dinner. We will definitely be back. Grazie mille e a presto!
Food was absolutely outstanding. The wine was delicious. Waiter and staff very friendly. The tables were slightly uncomfortable, as well as the door being open brought in tons of heat and humidity.
Loved the atmosphere however could improve on small changes. ATM machine was in the restroom 🤣🤣🤣kinda gross. Tbh.
Delicious fresh pastas in a cozy wood plank casual setting, with a pizza oven and a big bar. The waiter had an accent that was as authentic as the Italian food, and we enjoyed both. We had the specials that night, pastas with seafood in a light tomato sauce and the bolognese - incredible to the senses, with the pasta at the perfect "al dente". We will go back!
A cut above. Especially appreciated the friendly service.
It was my first time at the restaurant. It looked like a cool place while walking by so I booked a reservation for 5 through open table ( worked great). It was a very hot night and had to negotiate getting a table in air conditioning even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was average at best but the food saved the day it was very good. The pizza was high quality with good thin crust, the pasta special of boar Ragú was very tasty, the pasta vongolé was also very good. The halibut special was average and the serving size was very small and expensive. I would also recommend the beef carpaccio and salad, simple but good. While the food was good the prices were high so it would not make for usual casual dining.
Just wasn't impressed. We were there a bit on early side so that might not have helped. Also, didn't seem to be in the heart of Little Italy. Food was just okay. Wouldn't go back -- sorry!
This restaurant didn’t tell us until the check came that they only take AMEX. The pizza was okay but overpriced. The gnocchi was WAY too salty as well.
Only accept Amex and cash. Limited menu but good.
This place is a gem you won’t regret going to. Great food and friendly attentive wait staff. We loved it.
Good food. Simple yet authentic. Pizza was very good.
The food was good. I had the pizza and my boyfriend had the clams and pasta. They only take cash or amax so luckily we brought extra cash with us.
We went Memorial Day weekend. There were only a couple of parties there. The pizza and octopus are delicious.
I visited a number of restaurants in the area and unfortunately this was our least favorite. Food was just okay. Perhaps we just caught them on an off day.
