One of my fav places - great food, service and music is not too loud so you can enjoy your conversation. Def going to happy hour to get by PY noodles!
I LOVE TO EAT , I go out every week to a dfferent restaurant, and always read reviews.
Very few times I have written a negative review. But this time was the worst. We had a terrible experience. The host/manager was ironic and unpolite.
After we paid an expensive bill which included a 20% service, we were insulted and kicked out of the restaurant by the owner who was worst than the manager. We did nothing wrong and when prompt the owner and manager just insulted all of our group for no reason.
Other reviews also describe similar feedback about host and owner
Food was very good; but unfortunately I am never returning to this place.
Everything from the name to the food was fantastic. The food was a refreshingly different. Service was helpful. Drinks were excellent. I have been coming to Miami yearly and this is one of the best and most memorable spots. Phuc Yea!!!
Excellent food, cool vibe. A must-do if you are looking for some of the best food in Miami. Should you go here? PHUC YEA!
Delicious pho and dessert.
Food was great and the service was really great!
The service was terrible and the waiter barely came around. I ordered oysters and requested crackers. No crackers appeared. I ordered a martini and had to remind the waiter twice. It get it that this is a gourmet place, but the portions were tiny and overpriced. Spent $200 on three drinks, oysters, and two small appetizers (no dinner) and had to go to McDonalds afterward because I was so hungry. This is a place to go if you have a lot of cash to blow or if money means nothing to you.
8:30pm reservation on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly and placed starter, wine and soft drink orders. We started with the Oyster Mushrooms and Pork Bao. It was a telling sign that the starters didn't arrive for nearly 45 minutes (9:12pm according to my iPhone camera timestamp) and the Bao were cool to the touch. The flavors were otherwise okay but I think I was probably expecting something more (literally and figuratively) for the $29 we spent on starters.
At this point, the fun really starts. Another 47 minutes pass. During this time, our waiter comes by and blames a large party, our waiter promises to comp our food, a manager comes by and says it'll only be three more minutes (very precise...it wasn't just three minutes), the manager comes by again promising drink refills that never show up, etc. We discuss going to a Popeye's we saw on the drive over.
Finally at 9:59pm some of our mains arrive - my wife's Black Cod and an order of the PY Noodles. My wife asks our server for a side of white rice (seems like a staple at many Asian inspired restaurants). The Cod and the Noodles are actually pretty tasty, and most importantly hot to the touch and taste.
10:08pm - $50 worth of short rib finally turns up right as I am flagging down our waiter to close our tab and leave. We accept the order although by this point, I've already scarfed down the PY Noodles in full and am just ready to go.
A few minutes after that, my wife's white rice turns up along with the check for the full balance of our meal. The irony of being charged $5 for a side of white rice that showed up 15 minutes after the main it was needed for....
I hate leaving bad reviews but honest truth is that there are hundreds of great restaurants in Miami that will gladly serve you a hot meal, quickly, and probably for a lot less than $220. We won't return and can't recommend.
Seated on time, server was very attentive. Food was wonderful.
Wonderful meal and great service. Restaurant is very loud, but food and drinks will get us back.
Brilliant restaurant with a very unique concept. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were wonderful.
Great food and service
Service was pretty bad and restaurant was empty. Waited an hour for our first round of drinks.
Delicious drinks, good happy hour. Loved the edamame hummus!
Service, food and ambiance were all great. Will definitely go back.
Fantastic food, even better service and amazing ambiance. Even with the included gratuity, the service was so good I tipped more! Loved this place and will be back!
We love oysters. We eat a lot of them. That can get pricey at the going rate. We used to go to the Four Seasons for happy hour with $1 oysters, but they discontinued the practice. Desperate I googled “$1 oysters Miami” and Phuc Yea came up. We went last night and were blown away by the service, the oysters and the menu. An awesome spot and our new favorite restaurant. Kathy is the manager. She was pressed into service when some of her wait staff were not able to come to work. It is commonplace now in our battle with the Omicron variant. Kathy cheerfully picked up the slack. It is the mark of a well led staff. Bravo
All was great from the moment we walked in to the end ! Good service and food !! Will go back for sure!!
We loved having our Christmas dinner on their patio. The vibe is fun and the food is fantastic. We have been going here for years and the quality has only gotten better. You really can't make a bad choice on the menu.
Delicious Asian fusion, great cocktails and cheap oysters. Glazed mushrooms were a bit too salty, but the duck confit and watermelon salad and coffee tiramisu all knocked it out of the park.
Food and service were great! Love the space, very mom and pop feel.
Food and service were amazing. The curried mussels was the best mussel dish I’ve ever had. Definitely order the steamed bao buns as a side for dipping in EVERYTHING.
Service was amazing, food was amazing. The only thing was that the Macallan was a lil overprice. But now we know for next time
Great food! we ordered the smoked rib, millionaires rice, noodles and 4 buns. Delicious! Recommended for 3 to 4 people.
Excellent restaurant. Really enjoyed everything we ordered. Unique and delicious. Server was great. Already looking forward to going there for dinner again
Once you get inside you’re in a different world, one of exotic and unusual dishes that are at once familiar and exciting. The papaya salad and XO noodles were outstanding. Juan and all of the servers were friendly and attentive. Happy hour manhattan was tasty and a bargain. Well worth the trip!
Great food and service. We will definitely be back soon.
I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time, the service was poor but the food was so amazing that I had to go back. Yesterday, the service was great. They were all friendly, which is a lot to say considering what you get at most restaurants in Miami. However, I was disappointed with the short rib pho. It was very salty this time. I was so impressed the first time I tried it. It was absolutely perfect. Yesterday was a different story. The salt level made it an unbalanced and unpleasant dish for my friends and I. Please remember to taste the food before it goes out. As you probably know, water evaporates from hot soup dishes, the liquid reduces, and the salt concentrates. The rest of the food was tasty. Please consistent! That’s how you get long-term and loyal customers.
The manager gave us poor customer service being that it was our first time there.
If I can give this place 1 million stars I would. From the ambience to the taste of the food to the music selections, I had the best last day of 39th birthday celebration ever there! My boyfriend and I were blown away. EVERY SINGLE moment and taste was beyond perfect. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Had a very lovely dining experience this past Saturday at Phuc Yea. My waiter Juan was very polite, attentive, and provided great service as he did a few weeks ago during my wedding anniversary dinner. This visit included a friend who joined my husband and I. We arrived early due to Art Basel and kicked off the night with 2 dozen oysters that were divine and it was Happy Hour half priced!
The 1818 champagne is deliciously crisp and I had 2 glasses. We also ordered to dine:
- SPECIAL PHUC YEA PHO (Best Pho I have ever had)
- SPICY WATERMELON SALAD (absolutely delicious and very flavorful)
- SMACKED CUCUMBERS
- GREEN BEANS
I plan on returning to dine in 2 weeks when my bestie arrives for the Winter holidays.
Special shout out to Cathy the Manager, who is doing a phenomenal job managing the restaurant flow and providing outstanding, personalized service.
Keep up the great work!
Phuc Yea is one of our all-time faves in Miami. The decor rocks, the service is amazing, and the food is unique and flavorful. We especially enjoyed last night’s 80s new wave sound. Thanks for another amazing experience!
Amazing experience! Food and cocktails are superb!
Unfortunately they have changed their menu, the best seafood dish they served was taken out and the other dishes are very basic. Shame, it was one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Miami.
Food excellent. Might have been the best octopus ever, however, plates so small. I think it would have been very expensive for us to have gotten full, but what we had was fantastic.
Great food! The pho with beef short rib is a must order!
Food was highlight - special Phuc Yea Pho fed three of us and still took a little home; cajun cod bao and oysters were all good. Service could use an improvement - mixed up order between tables, need help shucking oysters, bar service slow and mixed drinks are weak.
This restaurant never disappoints.....the food is inventive and always delivers!
Delicious tapas style food. Great drinks and wine list was impeccable.
I have been many times and always a stellar meal and service however this last time the service was terrible. An all new staff left us waiting way too long before a server came. Drinks took forever and the food did too with a late arrival of a noodle dish after all of the food and been sent.
