Ubicado en el distrito del arte de San José del Cabo, Phortal Restaurante & Catering es un concepto innovador que fusiona arte, cocina creativa contemporánea con toques mexicanos y mixología en un ambiente relajado y sofisticado. Su propuesta “fancy not fancy” permite disfrutar de menús de tres a cinco tiempos, elaborados con ingredientes frescos y locales. Además de su barra especializada en destilados mexicanos, su sommelier ofrece opciones de maridaje que elevan cada creación del chef Alejandro Magallanes. En Phortal, cada detalle está pensado para ofrecer una experiencia culinaria memorable y cada visita se convierte en una experiencia distinta a la anterior ya que su menú cambia cada semana.

    Excellent food and experience! Don't be concerned if there are only a few people in this small restaurant when you dine there. It's a cozy place that is relatively pricey (the same as the top end restaurants in local 5 star hotels) in Los Cabos, but well worth it. The chef is top notch and the food quality and service are excellent. I've had better food at this restaurant than many other Michelin star restaurants I've dined at in the past. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in San Jose. Highly recommend!

    truly exceptional. best restaurant we ate in over a 9 day period in San Jose Del Cabo. Hidden foodie oasis -- brilliantly inventive chef serving Michelin star quality fare that is stunningly plated with warm attentive service. great find and worth adding to your itinerary.

    Years ago we discovered this gem and were very anxious to dine here again on this trip. We were not at all disappointed. The meal was fantastic. The restaurant itself is absolutely lovely and extremely calm and relaxing. The friendliness of the staff and the level of service is absolutely first class. The food itself constituted one of the best meals we have ever had and we have travelled extensively and enjoyed a number of the world's finest restaurants. I would easily give this restaurant six stars if I were allowed. One warning. There's a lot of food. We could not finish our dinners and we elected the three course menu and not the five course. I cannot imagine what the five course would have been. The three course was not, in fact, three courses. The "first" course consisted of two separate dishes as did the "second" course. Then there was the main course and dessert. I ate much too much, but it was so good it was hard to stop. This is a place we would never miss on a trip to Cabo and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

    This is an outstanding culinary experience and wildly reasonable for the care, quality, quantity, and service. An absolute MUST DO! We brought our son for his 15th birthday as he is a foodie, and it will be hard for him to top this meal. Enormous thanks to the whole team for gracious attention from start to finish, support in our son practicing his Spanish, modified dishes due to shellfish allergies, gorgeous explanations of each dish, opportunities to try wines to find the perfect glass, complimentary amuse bouche/welcome cocktail/dessert, and a birthday surprise. We were captivated from start to finish. It was a fast and delicious three hours. We cannot praise Phortal enough!

    This is a great addition to the Cabo restaurant scene. A multicourse tasting menu beautifully presented and all excellent. We chose the three courses and there were so many extras and so much excellent food. It has an attractive cozy atmosphere. We are sorry we did not discover this restaurant sooner.
