   Excellent food and experience! Don't be concerned if there are only a few people in this small restaurant when you dine there. It's a cozy place that is relatively pricey (the same as the top end restaurants in local 5 star hotels) in Los Cabos, but well worth it. The chef is top notch and the food quality and service are excellent. I've had better food at this restaurant than many other Michelin star restaurants I've dined at in the past. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in San Jose. Highly recommend!

   truly exceptional. best restaurant we ate in over a 9 day period in San Jose Del Cabo. Hidden foodie oasis -- brilliantly inventive chef serving Michelin star quality fare that is stunningly plated with warm attentive service. great find and worth adding to your itinerary.

   Years ago we discovered this gem and were very anxious to dine here again on this trip. We were not at all disappointed. The meal was fantastic. The restaurant itself is absolutely lovely and extremely calm and relaxing. The friendliness of the staff and the level of service is absolutely first class. The food itself constituted one of the best meals we have ever had and we have travelled extensively and enjoyed a number of the world's finest restaurants. I would easily give this restaurant six stars if I were allowed. One warning. There's a lot of food. We could not finish our dinners and we elected the three course menu and not the five course. I cannot imagine what the five course would have been. The three course was not, in fact, three courses. The "first" course consisted of two separate dishes as did the "second" course. Then there was the main course and dessert. I ate much too much, but it was so good it was hard to stop. This is a place we would never miss on a trip to Cabo and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

   This is an outstanding culinary experience and wildly reasonable for the care, quality, quantity, and service. An absolute MUST DO! We brought our son for his 15th birthday as he is a foodie, and it will be hard for him to top this meal. Enormous thanks to the whole team for gracious attention from start to finish, support in our son practicing his Spanish, modified dishes due to shellfish allergies, gorgeous explanations of each dish, opportunities to try wines to find the perfect glass, complimentary amuse bouche/welcome cocktail/dessert, and a birthday surprise. We were captivated from start to finish. It was a fast and delicious three hours. We cannot praise Phortal enough!

   This is a great addition to the Cabo restaurant scene. A multicourse tasting menu beautifully presented and all excellent. We chose the three courses and there were so many extras and so much excellent food. It has an attractive cozy atmosphere. We are sorry we did not discover this restaurant sooner.

   I am repeating here what has already been written … because it is true. This is THE place to go if you find yourself as a foodie in Cabo. The experience centers around the food with a menu that changes weekly depending on the availability of fresh ingredients. At all levels - taste, texture, visual design - the chef’s creations surprise and delight you.

   This restaurant is incredible. 5 star Michelin if it was up to me. This is not dinner this is an experience. the chef decides the menu and the pairings and they work with you if you have allergies and dislikes. A MUST if in Cabo San Jose or worth the drive from cabo san lucas. Trust me you won’t be sorry

   Phortal ranks among the top dining experiences we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. From the moment you come through the door, you are pampered by the polished and very knowledgeable staff. Manager Alejandro and his team are attentive without being intrusive. The room with its minimal decor is beautiful and creates a serene atmosphere. The food is beyond compare. I am not one for tasting menus preferring to choose my own meal. Phortal however is a tasting menu with a twist. Your preferences are what guides Chef Alejandro’s creations. How he does it for each individual diner is truly amazing. He’s a magician. Nothing is left to chance Every detail is perfection. Do not miss this wonderful restaurant!

    AMAZING experience- nightly chefs tasting menu!! 10 stars Staff is attentive but really lets you enjoy yourself, food was simply amazing - we can’t wait to go back and see what they have next
