Phoenix City Grille Ratings and Reviews
Phoenix City Grille is a great restaurant for a quick or relaxing lunch depending on your time allotment. The service is friendly and ask when seating if you are in a hurry. The daily specials always include the soup of the day, tomato with a ribbon of pesto, on our visit, as well as a salad option. I enjoyed the short rib machaca tacos with a side salad. They have a extensive list of wines available by the glass or bottle as well as craft beers on tap.
I have never been disappointed dining here.
First time in Phx City Grille, The restaurant looks a little to conservative for me but was impress with the food I order the Salmon it was delicious perfect temperature , The server I believed his name is Ryan it was excellent very professional and attentive with all this new restaurants now a days I have not had a very polite and professional and caring servers. I love it
When the server tells customers about the special, he or she should mention the price. I was quite surprised when the bill came and my entree was substantially higher than other items on the menu. Had I known I wouldn't have ordered it. It was good but not 50% better than other entrees.
I have coming to Phoenix City Grill for years. I have never had a bad meal here. They have something for everyone from Appetizers, salads, great burgers to full dinners. They have a full bar and even space for private parties that is quaint and intimate at the same time. The owner is almost always there and I highly recommend it.
This is my fav for all occasions. Friday I enjoyed the steak sandwich ( sans bun) great spicey julienned veggies. What a deal. Pick your side. I went with coleslaw. My friend had my other fav. Steak tacos. He ate very slowly to savor every bite. My husband had the awesome burger and fries. Never disappointed whether holiday dinners, lunch or cas dinners
I am a self-proclaimed Foodie and have loved Phoenix City Grille since they opened in my neighborhood years ago. In fact, I found that early on, some of the items were better than Richardson's (my favorite SW restaurant), and PCG has good Happy Hour food/drinks. We went here Sunday night for the Restaurant Week menu, expecting everything to be awesome due to the opportunity to impress new diners, however, I have a few comments. Basically, the food was bland, not up to PCG's distinctive customary flavors, and I don't think it would entice a first-time diner to come back. The "Roasted" Beet Salad contained beets that did not appear roasted at all, as I've had at other places (actually tasted like canned), and no apples as listed on the pre-fixe menu. The owner, Sheldon, came by and apologized (and credited $5 off the tab), and had them bring out some tasteless thin apple sticks to add, but they didn't enhance the salad and I had to add Stevia to bring out some sweetness. My Baja Shrimp was fine, but I did not taste the jalapeno butter, as described. Mike's spare ribs were pretty plain and not bursting with flavor either, with a tiny amount of creamed corn. We were expecting some of that typical PCG heat/flavor in both dishes. Even the rice pudding was bland, so I took it home and added cinnamon and raisins. As far as service, our waitress and others tried very hard to please us with the "issues" that occurred during the meal.
We have not been to the restaurant for a long while. When we arrived, we asked for a side table so that the noise would be less than at the middle tables. At first, that was not possible, but before we ordered, a side table became available. We enjoyed the rest of the evening and had a good meal.
Phoenix City Grille is one of my most enjoyable dining experiences in the Valley. The entree is always prepared perfectly and served in a timely manner. Kaitlin is an excellant server. She is very courteous and efficient. Kaitlin sets a standard that every employee should follow.
