Pho Royal Tunbridge Wells is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. If you're unable to dine-in, you can click & collect your order, or find us on Deliveroo. We look forward to welcoming you!

    This is my second time at pho, the first time they were newly opened, so gave them the benefit of the doubt, but this time I faced the same issues. The service was incredibly slow, we had to chase our water and prawn crackers multiple times, to get anything, we had to flag someone down and ask, as there didn’t seem to be one set server for our section. The food was yum but it took over an hour to get our main course.

    Very busy and lively, our waitress was very nice. However , our order took a long time and was wrong, starters arriving at random times. Also no one checking if we needed drinks or clearing finished items from the table. We ordered various starters but no one informed us that one of the starters was HUGE and probably enough for two people on it ‘s own . The starters were ok nothing special , but the Pho soup bowl of noodles was really nice. It kind of feels like what it is really which is a chain restaurant. So nothing startling .

    Exceeded our expectations. The meal was out standing. The cocktails were wonderful. We had a tremendous evening. Thank you so much Pho.

    The service was quite good but they were all very friendly the starters were outstanding but my main was very bland But they were extremely good as they credited us for that Would consider returning but careful on main choice

    Our second time dining at Pho (Tunbridge Wells). On both occasions we could find no fault. The food, service, ambience and prices were excellent. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

    for context, we dined here 2 weeks after it opened and therefore expected there may still be some teething issues, as with any new restaurant. We were not wrong. Whilst the food was nice (some dishes lovely, others average), the service was incredibly slow, so much so that we had to chase several times for drinks and main meals. My salad arrived 20 mins before anybody else's meal, and the prawn crackers that should have accompanied it were missing. The king prawns were not "king" by any stretch of the imagination. My husband's curry (which arrived 20 mins after my meal, but 5 to 10 mins before the rest of our family's meals) was lovely. The Rahman style meals eaten by everybody else received mixed reviews - one person enjoyed it, the other was very disappointed and described it as bland. The music was incredibly loud when we arrived to the point we had to almost shout at each other to be heard; I think somebody must have complained b/c the volume did lower eventually although still quite loud. I would add that the staff we interacted it were great; very approachable and helpful, if a little inexperienced. Would we return? Potentially later this year, once they have had time to address the teething problems around speed of service.

    Whilst the food wasn’t bad, I cannot recommend this restaurant because the service is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere, ever. Having booked the restaurant and been asked to confirm twice by text message I was somewhat surprised to be told “I’ll just see if there is a table” on arrival. We were eventually seated but not served for some time. The restaurant was noisy and loud and it was hard to hear the person sitting next to you. After a while, the hard seats were particularly uncomfortable. Our main complaint is about one particular member of staff who didn’t smile, was inattentive and downright rude when it came to paying the bill, rolling her eyes and looking visibly put out when we asked any questions. She left us in no doubt that she didn't want to be there and didn't care whether we were there either! She really impacted our experience and made no attempt to make our experience enjoyable. We had to chase two items we had ordered which were forgotten and only one eventuated. We were not offered any further drinks throughout the meal despite finishing ours and no one checked to see if the meal was ok and we had everything we needed - basics of hospitality, All in all a decidedly average experience which was a huge disappointment. In no rush to repeat and would no recommend - head to Wagamama’s up the hill or Kai’s Kitchen where you’ll get service AND a smile.
