   Although we booked in advance, there was no table assigned to us when we got there so we had to sit on the end of someone else’s . The outside area was out of use despite the gorgeous weather. The choice of food was good but I would describe the food as average and probably wouldn’t go back for this reason. The only thing which particularly stood out was the staff who were outstanding particularly the waiter we had. My friend is diabetic and the waiter was extremely attentive to her needs and had a lovely manner about him which made our experience much more positive than it was going to have been.

   Delicious food and service was abit better than before. We had a selection of starters and a chicken salad and shared it all. Pork & lemongrass meatballs Spring rolls Calamari Summer rolls Chicken salad All delicious!🤤 Vietnamese is my favourite and this is still the best place in Portsmouth!!

   We always come to Pho in Portsmouth as our favourite! This was slightly disappointing. The restaurant was really quiet, and the service was still quite slow. Took the gentleman 15 mins to take our order even though we were trying to get his attending. Chicken Summer rolls and pork spring rolls to start. The summer rolled seemed really condense and not much in them, compared to usual. The mains - chicken salad and chicken curry - both delicious and really tasty! The price seemed really expensive compared to normal too? The salad was £14.95 which just didn’t seem right? Same with the summer rolls usally £6.95, were £7.95? I appreciate it’s the beginning of the new tax year but some costs seem abit much. And again please stop adding service charge - then asking to add a tip too!

   Have been eating at Pho for years. My favourites are summer rolls and spicy brisket pho. Always satisfying.

   Food was lovely and the restaurant is in lovely location, however, the service was average. £30 service charge was added to our bill despite the service being average. We didn’t have a dedicated waiter or waitress, neither of the servers did anything special to warrant a £30 service charge, when the bill came without asking (just an assumption by the waiter) our bill was split so it was paid for unevenly and we asked for the service charge to be removed which it wasn’t. This was unnoticed by us because of how the paying system works. Using the machine yourself, as a customer is unacceptable! It also definitely does not warrant a £30 service charge especially as a customer I have to workout my own bill using a machine! Nothing is personal, nothing is above and beyond, it’s just disappointing. I’d recommend the food and location but that is about it. I wouldn’t say a meal for 6 people, 4 starters & 6 mains, 3 alcoholic beverages and 3 soft drink should not cost £250. Just because your a group of 6 people the service charge should not just be added and the service shouldn’t be any less personal compared to 2 people.

    Excellent food. Great service from the team. Not the first time we've eaten at Pho, and it definitely won't be the last
