Pho Newcastle is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options.

We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK.

Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too.

If you’re unable to dine-in, you can click & collect your order, or find us on Deliveroo.

    The food was fabulous. And the service professional. A couple of remarks, the chairs our friends were sitting on were quite uncomfortable. And it would have been nice on your dessert menu to have American/Italian coffee and English breakfast tea (after all you do have on your wine list bottles of, for example, European origin). But I will come back, nonetheless.

    Not up to the usual standards, the service was dreadful and in the main nonexistent. Not only did we get mains whilst finishing off starters but other tables had the same issue, food is fab but something is miles off the mark with the poor service

    Food was 10/10. Chicken wings and summer rolls starters were so tasty, wings super crispy! Mains (chicken curry broth and pork rice bowl) were even better, so flavoursome. Staff were all lovely as well, from the friendly chap who served us, to the guy who brought the food out. A really nice touch was providing a disposable bib for eating the colourful broth. So good for a lunch as well, nice and fast, but make sure you book. We heard lots of tables for 2 being turned away because these tables were full (lots of bigger tables available for large groups though, so you might get away without booking) at ~1/1:30 pm on a Sunday.

    The staff were helpful and attentive without being intrusive. As first time customers they were happy to check ingredients and offer recommendations. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous, no room for dessert unfortunately. The only criticism I have is that the music was too loud and made conversation difficult. Several members of our group were neurodivergent and found the noise level a little overstimulating.

    We had booked a table at Pho beforehand. When we arrived the restaurant was extremely busy. The staff did their level best to serve us and get us our food under quite exceptional circumstances. I believe there was a very popular singer performing at the stadium that evening and the city was heaving. Just people everywhere. The food took a wee bit time, but it was all really nice. We would return to eat here again. The staff were so kind. A BIG thank you to all who work there.

    Our food was delicious and the service was excellent. There was an error with one of the dishes and the servers went above and beyond to make up for it. Really lovely staff and food, will be back.

    good range of dishes and drinks from vietnam. Excellent coffee - tasted very authentic. Very healthy food too. So good to see in a city eatery

    Party of 2. I booked to be safe but people were being seated easily. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, very fresh and tasted great. We got the Baby squid and pork spring rolls to start. Beef Brisket and Garlic Steak Pho as mains, also shared a chicken noodle dish. Then had the Pandam waffle with ice cream and Sorbet (raspberry and mango scoops). Plenty of choice for drinks, I had a coconut water with pineapple (not super sweet but refreshing) and also a class of coke. All had generous servings and is very filling. I would come again, my date really enjoyed here too. Tip is optional at the end, I don’t usually tip but this was lovely (tip was about £8)
