In addition to its award-winning wines, Phillip M’s offers a brand new menu featuring everything from fine steaks, fresh seafood, and extraordinary wines to decadent desserts. Signature dishes include Lamb, Duck Crepes and Chicken.
We arrived and were seated 10 minutes early for our reservation, we sat for 35 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the wait staff; no water, no bread, no nothing, just sitting there for 35 minutes while the wait staff wandered around and served others including others that arrived after us who already ordered and had appetizers coming. A waitress finally showed up, no apology for the wait, no manners just 'What do you want to drink?' WTF?! We finally order and more waiting, 42 minutes later the meal arrives; the Lamb is WAY over cooked and the New York Strip is under cooked. If you ask temperature then you should be able to deliver! The only saving grace was the serving lady was very good so we tipped her separately but otherwise it was a very poor performance. I do not recommend this restaurant, based on their pricing and 'reputation' you would expect top level service but its not. Sorry.
It had been a few years since I had driven up to have the food here. I will not make the mistake of waiting so long again. Still one of the best places in Mississippi.
The meal was delicious. Food was outstanding. The service was terrible. I had to ask for a server and then continue to flag down people (not our server because we didn’t see her) for help. We didn’t get checked on. She apologized a couple of times but with no explanation. Very nice, expensive meal but zero service. Unfortunately, it affected our enjoyment of the meal
I've been there many times never had anything but the best food. The service is outstanding.
Great steak an green tomato. We eat here every time we are in town.
The service was terrible. The waiter walked up and didn’t even say hello just asked “what do y’all want to drink”. The lamp chop was tough and not good. We split the seafood dish of scallops shrimp and tuna. The scAllops were GREAT!!! The shrimp was so over cooked we didn’t even eat them and the tuna was brown on the inside. To the point if well done. We were not asked how we wanted it cooked or would have asked for it rare. Again that goes back to the service. With that being the only “fine dining” restaurant in the casino we will not be going back
Phillip M's is a Great place to eat. I usually get the meal comped so the price are not a problem but if I had to pay I would say they are way too steep. The food is always excellent as is the service.
The rolls were cold and not very tasty. The price could have been a bit less. The steak was very good.
Server was nice but they seemed overwhelmed. Steak was well done when asked for medium rare. Didn’t bring the appetizer which was ordered. At least steak was taken off the check. No management present at all which would help. Pretty pathetic amateur performance from what is supposed to be the signature restaurant.
For what I had the grits were excellent I also had the lamb pops for a appetizer and they had no flavor. My wife had a lobster tail and it was under cooked her steak was good. I most likely won’t be back way over priced
Excellent as always. Service is fast and courteous.
Wonderful menu choices catering to all likes.
The whole evening was amazing! The food, the atmosphere and the waitress was amazing. Will definitely be back
A great dinner with my golf buddies. Food was extremely tasty. Nice wine list. Had a great time!
The service was excellent. The chef came out to confirm how I wanted my filet cooked.
The food was superb and we ate desert which we don't typically do.
The ambiance for the type of restaurant it is could have been better, but it wasn't by any stretch sub par.
The only negative to the evening was a woman in a party of 4 never stopped talking and her voice carried throughout the restaurant. The hostess, in my opinion, should have asked her to use her quiet voice.
We had a great experience for my husbands birthday!
Service is what made our experience great. The food was acceptable for a casino.
For the cost, food was subpar. Staff was very friendly, but brought me the wrong soup and under cooked my wife’s steak. Not a big surprise at a chain restaurant, but our expectations were higher for this establishment.
I have eaten here on many occasions but will admit it has been a couple of years since the last time. Before this past weekend I would have recommended others, but not based in the last visit. Food quality was good, atmosphere was good, but service was poor. Very unfriendly, not helpful on answering questions AND they charged the meal to my card instead of my room which created even more problems. Definitely not a 5 star dining experience. The prices are five star but nothing else.
Used to be much better quality and taste.
The food is always amazing and the staff is so sweet and helpful. My family love coming here to eat. They have some of the best seafood chowder you’ll ever taste .
The food was good but everything was a la carte and very expensive. $140 for 2 with no salads
As good as any of the large casino/resorts and much closer!
We have eaten at Philip M's Restaurant several times. The food is great, and the service is excellent. We highly recommend to all.
My wife and I have eaten here at least once a quarter over the past year. Sometimes the same dish great and other times questionable as to consistency. For example I order the saffron chowder each visit. The last time I had it. Someone took the liberty to add salmon which is not listed as an ingredient on the menu.
Food, service and atmosphere always outstanding!
Dinner was Lovely!!!
Medium rare filet came out well done. Had to send it back. Wedge salad was delicious. Flan was exceptional. Two 6 oz foot filets, two wedge salads and a dessert cost $117 before tip. Way way overpriced. Server was good. Will not be back at this price.
Have been dining here for years. The Safron Chowder is still the best thing I've ever eaten, but the rest of the evening was forgetful. Service was subpar and slow, slim wine list, steaks were just not very good, dessert was average. The atmosphere and bar area is wonderful, just not the same service and quality as 10 years ago.
I have been to a restaurant like this in my hometown and I was expecting that experience. It was ok not wow for the price. They didn’t acknowledge my birthday for one. I use opentable all the time and they don’t drop the ball on the occasion. Food came out a little too fast and was not wow for the price. There was a loud rude customer screaming at her table. Overall I wouldn’t go back. Guess since it’s in casino they feel there good.
The food was outstanding! The wait staff need a lesson in hospitality....
A bit bright. Would have been more romantic if a bit quieter and dimmer. Open dining room didn't allow for a lot of privacy in conversation.
The menu is awesome and the food is terrific! It's definitely on the pricey side, but well worth it.
You will not be disappointed with the wonderful food or the very excellent service. The French Onion Soup is some of the best I've ever had. The steak is melt in your mouth steak!! The lobster is divine!!
And the cheesecake is wonderful!! 3 of us ladies went and enjoyed the fresh bread rolls and everything we ate. I highly recommend!
Great restaurant for date night or special occasion, friendly staff, incredible food.
Sadly, our experience this weekend was not as good as it was in past years. Our food was barely tolerable. Only two desserts were available.
From the appetizers all the way through to the complimentary chocolate cookies after the meal, all of the food exceeded my expectations. Service was great, they made sure we did not go without anything we needed or wanted but were also not intrusive. Not the restaurant you want to go to if you are on a strict budget, but food and experience was worth the money. Really exceptional for a restaurant located inside a casino. Will definitely go back again and would highly recommend it to others.
Service was terrible. Waitress didn’t even know what a margarita was. All of the steaks were over cooked. Lights were too bright for the venue, too loud, way to expensive for what it was. Basically an upscale Outback Steakhouse. Will not go back
We have never been disappointed in Phillip M's. The Saffron Chowder is The Best. The Filet cuts with a butter knife and always cooked to perfection.
We ordered Fried Green tomatoes and they were great! We ordered wedge salads and they were both great. My husband and I ordered the steak, I ordered the small steak, well done and he ordered the larger one medium well. Both steaks were burnt on the edges and dry. The waitress brought me a baked potato and I had ordered Macaroni and Cheese. She later brought the Macaroni and Cheese when we were finished eating. Overall our experience was ok. If we come back we will try the seafood.
The food was wonderful! The one thing I would definitely change is the location of our table. We were close to the bar open door and were plagued with cigarette smoke. It is time for the entire restaurant and venue to explore smoke free air.
Need to change out the lighting it's horrible - requested to sit at a more private table that was empty along the wall - they said what about here in the middle as Oppossed to option A next to the kitchen where they originally tried to seat us I didn't press it just said ok but the next party of two guess what they were seated there where I was disallowed so F minus to start - however the steak was cooked to perfection compliments to the chef - the drinks, I'm used to not from concentrate on all things fruit I had doubles Bombay sapphire gin with grapefruit - if I'm dropping north of 200 on a dinner for two I expect the real thing - free tip here when and if you open sports betting people with money will come and expect a experience at the steak house you won't see them in the comp buffet line - overall B , we will be back for the golf and we will stay again and given this steak house is our only good food choice we will be there at the bar not at the restaurant again - hope this helps
