In addition to its award-winning wines, Phillip M’s offers a brand new menu featuring everything from fine steaks, fresh seafood, and extraordinary wines to decadent desserts. Signature dishes include Lamb and Chicken.
Worth it for the atmosphere, but is very expensive.
The food was good, but not great. The service left a lot to be desired. We ordered an appetizer which never came, so we cancelled it. We ordered some mushrooms to split, but were given two orders and charged for both. Despite all the mistakes, no apology and nothing done to try and make it right. I guess since this place is in a casino, they don't feel they need to provide great service to built a loyal following as most people come and go despite the experience.
The entire staff was friendly and professional they would stop by the table to ask if everything was ok with the guest a friendly nod or friendly smile. The seafood chowder was absolutely delicious we look forward to dining at Philip m in the very near future please keep serving and delivering a great dining experience
We had the king crab legs and they were wonderful! Our waitress, Becky, done an amazing job!
Loved the wedge salad. 6 ounce filet a little chewy and overpriced. Looked like 4 ounces and lonely on a big plate all by itself.
Fried green tomatoes with crawfish sauce- tough, crusty had better at a truck stop
Wedge salad - lettuce not crisp, tomatoes not good
medium steak - burnt outside, raw center
Duck two ways - undercooked breast, overcooked leg thigh
Cream brulee' - thin watery cream
Coffee was excellent
Service was excellent
My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Phillip M's. The services was great, the food was delicious as always. The watermelon salad is my favorite item on the menu. I would drive to Pearl River Resort just for that! We had a wonderful experience at Phillip M's and would highly recommend it !
First visit. No Wow factor. Table very small. No lamp no salt shaker. Dress code? People in shorts/flip flops. Limited menu-ala carts. Food was good but not great-over priced. Service average. No ambiance. This is not the 5 Star experience we are accustomed to
I always eat at Phillip M's when I'm at Pearl River Resort
The food is always great, service is top notch and usually seated right away
Our party enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Phillip M's very much. I can assure you it was well worth our drive to dine at this first class restaurant.
Normally I really enjoy this place. But my steak was under cooked, sent it back and of course it was over cooked then. So I ate it because I was really hungry. I always have a great experience here, guess can't have it all the time.
Food and service was excellent ! Very quiet on a Tuesday evening.
My husband and I ate at Phillip M's for dinner on July 20th. We had a wonderful waitress, the service was fast and the food was delicious! I had a filet and my husband had the lamb chops. The whole experience was great and we can't wait to go back!!
Food was fabulous. We had the Sea Bass, Fried Oysters and Crab Cakes. We will definitely be back soon to try the Lamb Chops because they looked fabulous too!
Service was a little slow, but we were not in a rush. Our meal was outstanding and well worth the wait! Best steak I've had in a long time!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday. We tried a new summer salmon topped with crab. The dish was superb. Can’t wait to go try the same dish with snapper.
Wonderful food and great atmosphere!
I would rate Phillip M's at 6 stars if I could. Very enjoyable experience!
Well Brenda was outstanding and should be recognized for the outstanding service she provided our group. Steaks were out of this world and sides were delicious. If you go to Phillip M you must have the bone in ribeye.
Where to start. Less than 10 people eating at 8 pm and takes forever. Low grade beef cooked poorly and priced normal steak house prices. With no steak knife. No bread served. Wrong wine opened. Side comes out long after steak. Side tastes out of a box. Just an overall poor experience for the 3rd time in a row. Only thing decent was the shrimp cocktail bc it was actually cooked through and cold. Only thing keeping me from calling this place a dump is the fact it is clean. Food is horrible for the price. Golden Corral would be embarrassed.
We arrived and were seated 10 minutes early for our reservation, we sat for 35 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the wait staff; no water, no bread, no nothing, just sitting there for 35 minutes while the wait staff wandered around and served others including others that arrived after us who already ordered and had appetizers coming. A waitress finally showed up, no apology for the wait, no manners just 'What do you want to drink?' WTF?! We finally order and more waiting, 42 minutes later the meal arrives; the Lamb is WAY over cooked and the New York Strip is under cooked. If you ask temperature then you should be able to deliver! The only saving grace was the serving lady was very good so we tipped her separately but otherwise it was a very poor performance. I do not recommend this restaurant, based on their pricing and 'reputation' you would expect top level service but its not. Sorry.
It had been a few years since I had driven up to have the food here. I will not make the mistake of waiting so long again. Still one of the best places in Mississippi.
The meal was delicious. Food was outstanding. The service was terrible. I had to ask for a server and then continue to flag down people (not our server because we didn’t see her) for help. We didn’t get checked on. She apologized a couple of times but with no explanation. Very nice, expensive meal but zero service. Unfortunately, it affected our enjoyment of the meal
I've been there many times never had anything but the best food. The service is outstanding.
Great steak an green tomato. We eat here every time we are in town.
The service was terrible. The waiter walked up and didn’t even say hello just asked “what do y’all want to drink”. The lamp chop was tough and not good. We split the seafood dish of scallops shrimp and tuna. The scAllops were GREAT!!! The shrimp was so over cooked we didn’t even eat them and the tuna was brown on the inside. To the point if well done. We were not asked how we wanted it cooked or would have asked for it rare. Again that goes back to the service. With that being the only “fine dining” restaurant in the casino we will not be going back
Phillip M's is a Great place to eat. I usually get the meal comped so the price are not a problem but if I had to pay I would say they are way too steep. The food is always excellent as is the service.
The rolls were cold and not very tasty. The price could have been a bit less. The steak was very good.
Server was nice but they seemed overwhelmed. Steak was well done when asked for medium rare. Didn’t bring the appetizer which was ordered. At least steak was taken off the check. No management present at all which would help. Pretty pathetic amateur performance from what is supposed to be the signature restaurant.
For what I had the grits were excellent I also had the lamb pops for a appetizer and they had no flavor. My wife had a lobster tail and it was under cooked her steak was good. I most likely won’t be back way over priced
Excellent as always. Service is fast and courteous.
Wonderful menu choices catering to all likes.
The whole evening was amazing! The food, the atmosphere and the waitress was amazing. Will definitely be back
A great dinner with my golf buddies. Food was extremely tasty. Nice wine list. Had a great time!
The service was excellent. The chef came out to confirm how I wanted my filet cooked.
The food was superb and we ate desert which we don't typically do.
The ambiance for the type of restaurant it is could have been better, but it wasn't by any stretch sub par.
The only negative to the evening was a woman in a party of 4 never stopped talking and her voice carried throughout the restaurant. The hostess, in my opinion, should have asked her to use her quiet voice.
We had a great experience for my husbands birthday!
Service is what made our experience great. The food was acceptable for a casino.
For the cost, food was subpar. Staff was very friendly, but brought me the wrong soup and under cooked my wife’s steak. Not a big surprise at a chain restaurant, but our expectations were higher for this establishment.
I have eaten here on many occasions but will admit it has been a couple of years since the last time. Before this past weekend I would have recommended others, but not based in the last visit. Food quality was good, atmosphere was good, but service was poor. Very unfriendly, not helpful on answering questions AND they charged the meal to my card instead of my room which created even more problems. Definitely not a 5 star dining experience. The prices are five star but nothing else.
Used to be much better quality and taste.
