Philippe remains a family, all-time, favorite!!!
I am a fan of the chicken satay. For the first time in many years, the sauce was not ok. It had a weird taste like it was made with unfresh ingridients.
Food and service were spot on. Could not have had a better experience.
Good food, great drinks, and awesome staff. I would come back!
Excellent food!! Service was awesome.
Very good high end Chinese food. We shared a whole Peking duck and it was excellent. Want to come back and try different menu items. The music was too loud and was a monotonous disco beat --- WHY? Totally unnecessary.
the food was not very good, and the service very bad. the atmosphere is nice, but their service is terrible
Always delicious. I’m among your biggest fan!
Philippe Chow was a hit! My family and I enjoyed the service, ambiance and especially the food. Everything was exceptional! My only complaint is that the lighting is too low.. You cannot read the menus..
Fantastic. Although I’ve always lived in NY and been to some swanky places, this was actually my first time at Philippe Chow. It was as great as I expected. We will be back again!
Noise level Too loud!!!! Could not have a conversation at our table!! Food excellent and service excellent!!!
Great Chicken Satay and Peking Duck!!!
The Food was five star delicious. The Techno rock background music was jarring and annoying and too loud. The service from our waiter was also superb. The loss of two overall stars is a result of the personnel at the front of the house. The two African American hostesses exuded haughty attitudes you could feel upon entering. They seemed to feel they were the gatekeepers to paradise instead of the welcoming committee. The bartender was more interested in chatting up two “it” girls at the bar than pouring a double Macallan 18. We may come back when we’re jonesing for Chinese food, but we will consider alternative venues based on the above.
Everytng was perfect, especially I recommend crispy duck and tofu. For dessert just eat red velvet cake, it was so so good.
Excellent high-end Chinese without being fussy. All dishes very well done
La comida estaba horrible. De 4 platos solo pudimos comer 2 los otros estaban realmente feos
First the service was impeccable. Friendly , attentive and knowledgeable. The food… the food… simply extraordinary. Highly recommend the Duck and Cilantro dumplings plus the Peking Duck. This last one takes time for its preparation but the wait is worthwhile.
Definitely will return.
Birthday celebration with family
Food wasn’t flavorful, we ordered 3 items from the menu and none hit, just tired
Exceptional service! Everything was delicious!
Great place for celebrating birthdays! 🤗🎉
Good food and drinks great vibes. Didn’t wait long for my table.
Great Dinner and awesome service
The cuisine at this restaurant is extraordinary!! We enjoyed the lettuce wraps, chicken satay and dumplings to start. Our 13 year old son gobbled down a beautiful bowl of chicken fried rice that was brought immediately piping hot. We then shared a sea bass for one and a crispy beef for one. The crispy beef was delicious and the sea bass light and simple but flavorful. The final course is as a whole duck brought to the table while and then sliced. The best duck we have had ever-truly. We ended with the baked Alaska which is the most unique presentation that you will ever experience. It’s a must do in NY when you want Asian food.
The entire experience was great from service to food and drinks.
We enjoyed our evening. Food was very good - especially the Peking Duck. Will go back again.
The food was very tasty, employees friendly, the value of food portion versus price was not properly matched.
Very good food and service.
Would love if you could gat a heating source in the outdoor area.
Fabulous. Always great food a great service. Table was ready right on our reservation time
This is the second time we went back for their Excellent Peking Duck, and we were not disappointed. You just have to "order" the duck one hour before your reservation if you do not want to wait 1 hr! Attentive and professional service. Only complaint is the price of the wines by the bottles: extremely high for the selection, and particularly when you know the retail costs of many of the names on the wines list. Not Fair. Please review and make some decent proposals. Thank you
Go for the scene and service but if you're looking for good Chinese food, I'm not sure Philippe is worth it!
Excellent Chinese food. Not too fancy - just good.
Everything was great
Our favorite restaurant in NY! Food, ambiance and service is 2nd to none!
The experience was amazing, food was top notch. Definitely will be back sooner than later.
Greasy overpriced food. Rude hostess at front desk. Save your $100 per person and order neighborhood Chinese takeout
Sat outside listening to club music, the repetitive boom boom boom kind played in clubs for hipsters, not conducive to dining outdoors on a nice evening. Dumpling sampler was not good at all. Too doughy and under cooked. Crispy beef was wonderful. Kung Pao chicken, so so.
The food was excellent. The noise level was loud the service was amazing.
The wait and bus service was a little pushy - order fast, clear fast, keep it moving, keep it moving. The rear dining area was a bit warm too. For an upscale Asian restaurant this was a bit disappointing. I much prefer Tao - they execute the higher end quasi-club Asian dining experience much better.
Amazing experience and atmosphere. They’re good is fresh and amazing as well as the drinks.
