The restaurant was accommodative to our request. It was time well-spent! Suitable for business as well as a date. A dynamic spot! 👍🏻
The food was excellent. We arrived late to our reservation due to traffic. We were seated and attended to right away. Service was great and the fried rice was some of the best we’ve had. I recommend this place. Give it a try.
BEST ASIAN FOOD IVE HAD IN YEARS‼️
Took my wife for her bday. Best move I’ve ever made‼️😍💚
This was my first time here the food was really good
As per usual Philippe’s was great, the chicken satay and the service, that’s what keeps me coming back! 💕💕
I definitely enjoy my 31st birthday dinner. The food was good, the music was good, and the customer service was excellent.
Awesome chiken satay and the peking duck its the best in the world
Our experience at Philippe Chow was nothing short of amazing. The cuisine is above par. I highly , highly suggest the Salt & Pepper calamari and the Peking Duck (for two). The Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Dumplings are a great start to your dinning experience.
Must try: Peking Duck, Crispy Beef and Tofu StirFry.
Expensive and not all it claims to be. I was very disappointed.
Everything was great as usual !
This restaurant has a club-type vegas feel which is interesting to match with Chinese food. When you walk in house/techno music is playing loud through the speakers. The waiters are oddly dressed in white suits with red ties. We ordered the chicken satay, vegetable lomein and shrimp. The chicken stay was gross. It had some sort of brown sauce that tasted like overly buttered pancake batter. The lomein was ok, but very salty. The shrimp was rubbery and had a fishy taste. Food was way over priced for the quality food you receive. The service and ambiance are nice, however I will not be back.
The Peking Duck was delicious! Overall it was a great meal.
We had a rally fabulous evening. We sat upstairs which is not as much as a ‘vibe’ but a little quieter. Food was exceptional, hot, tasty and delish. Service is always top class. Thanks Philippe! We will be back for sure.
Amazing restaurant and fabulous food. It is quite pricey so would do it only on special occasions
Alinda was an excellent hostess. Was very sweet and attentive to our requests. Food is excellent and will absolutely be back.
Fabulous Food! Great service!
Average food. Tight seating arrangements mediocre food.
Food was just ok considering the cost. Drinks were good
Food is overpriced and not that great. It was my friend birthday, just the 2 of us and it was near $400. I guess they have to charge in order to pay rent.
We always enjoy a great dining experience at Philippe.
The salt & pepper prawns are my favorite. Absolutely delicious! I come here a few times throughout the year and it never disappoints.
Sleek, smart, sophisticated food attracting aleek, smart sophisticated lunch crowd -- the prix fixe is a bargain. Maitre d' Ed sets a friendly welcoming tone. Back room for quiet conversation, front room for people-watching. DInner crowd is large, lively and loose.
Excellent food! Service was great. Staff friendly. Tables a little too close together and small.
Food was somewhat edible. And that’s all there is to it. But it was all of the same taste and not made with the finest and freshest ingredients. Personnel at the front desk was arrogant and rude, waiters clearly not trained to serve in a supposedly upscale restaurant (e.g. whole fingers in the plate when serving you). In terms of value for money, this is a very low quality experience.
Decor is tired but fun date spot for dinner
Birthday occasion, food quality not that great and over priced. Did not my the price point but give me good food.
Everything was good. They make a nice birthday celebration
Food is very good, but pricey. Service this time was good, not always the case at this restaurant. Tables are very close together so noise level very high. The issue on this visit arose when it came time to retrieve our coats from coat check. We had 2 coats, they only brought out one coat to my husband, he indicated there was another. The girl from the hostess stand argued with him for awhile before going back to ‘find’ another coat. Interesting that they brought out the basic windbreaker coat, but somehow missed the other very expensive & special coat. We’ve never been here without some issue arising. Not worth it in the end.
I wasn't too impressed with the duck & cilantro dumplings-- which was a fairly small portion and didn't have enough cilantro. Maybe adding some fresh cilantro on top would have helped, but it just felt unsubstantial.
The prices were pretty high and nothing tasted much better than what I could get from a hole-in-the-wall Chinatown place. Granted, good Chinese food isn't very common in this neighborhood-- but I think Philippe Chow could do one better.
Service and everything else was good-- but food was disappointing.
Outstanding hospitality accompanied by reliably and consistently delicious food.
The waiter was rushing us and took forever for our drinks which were only sodas
The food is expensive, the portion is very small, the seating is to close.
Service was not the greatest, I would go again hopefully a better experience next time
I’ve had better Chinese upscale sit down food than what I had at Phillips Chow. Service was great, but what I found quite peculiar was that it seemed like they sat all the minorities on the second floor. First time I’ve never experienced before.
Absolutely unequivocally I give this place a rating of: Hopes and dreams, which is my highest level of approval!! Philippe Chow is not your typical Asian restaurant. This is like Gordon Ramsay went to China and had a chicken lettuce wrap and it immediately blew his mind. He then came to Manhattan and presented Philippe Chow for New York to experience what he has. Every bite of your food is orgasmic. The flavors are intense, extremely well balanced, they complement one another and it's just an experience like no other in your mouth. I highly recommended Philippe Chow and I promise you will not regret the trip in fact you just might become a regular. My one disappointment was all the water that was on the lettuce.
This place has really gone downhill. The service is terrible - the busboys do not speak English and have to defer to the overly busy waiter for everything. The water glass was dirty, the filet mignon was raw, and one of the busboys dropped a fork on my lap. The dessert was not edible. The only saving grace was that the manager reduced our bill significantly but I really would have rather paid up for what I was coming there for.
Big plate, small flavor. Seems to be frozen food.
Server took almost an hour to get our food and then when he finally got our order he gave it to the wrong table . Food was very cold and people who were seated after us got served first .
