The service was atrocious and they had a very rowdy clientele.
We were 6 of us we arrive and was welcome by the host in a very friendly and polite manner even after we had to wait for one of our friend and our reservation was for 7:30PM, she didnt arrive until 8:10PM the host were very understanding. Every thing was perfect, the food was amazingly tasty. Will be visiting very soon again.
Not bad . Ehh
The restaurant and food was good but I am not sure it is worth the money. You can get similar or, even, better Chinese food for a lot cheaper.
El mejor Pato Pekín del mundo
Food is average
It is for millennials who drink cocktails
I do not care to pay a lot of money for amazing food like Nobu
But this is not great at all
The restaurant looks beautiful but the food was pretty average.
I’ve been here 13 times in the last 9 weeks.
The hostesses were not very nice. Everyone in our party believed that because we didn’t fit the image of what Phillipe Chow’s tries to promote (under 30, scantily clothed club scene, etc.) they tried to seat us in their back room (with another group celebrating their 60th, by the way). Even the Manager was encouraging this. It felt very bad. We had to negotiate for a table in the main dining room. Also, there was a DJ playing music SO loud we literally had to yell at each other and the serving staff to be heard.
Great food outstanding service and super sweet for chef Philippe chow to come out and wish me a happy birthday
I was surprised that the food wasn’t better based on conversation surrounding this restaurant and it having to be a “must to visit”.
The duck was good as well as salt pepper shrimp. However they didn't tale the shrimp line(basicly fezes) from it. Feels uncomfortable about it.
This was my second visit and it didn’t disappoint. The food is incredible!! The service and ambiance are both very good. I noticed this time that the music was a bit loud but it was good so I didn’t mind. All in all a great place for dinner and in a perfect location.
It s absolutely American Chinese food :)
I was here 2 days ago and had to come back with my friends and husband who haven’t been . They were amazed at the quality of food and how great it tasted you will not disappointed. It’s a must to try Philippe
The ambiance and service was excellent. The food was just not what we expected and it was highly salted.
First time going downtown, I’ve been uptown many times before. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. I will defiantly be going back.
Simply amazing food . Never dissapointed . It’s a must to dine here if you don’t you are missing out
Amazing. Best dinner in NYC this week! Would recommend...especially the chicken satay
Food was really good, very loud music, bridge and tunnel, pushy waiters, overpriced wines.
It was a nice place with excellent service! The food was good but honestly wasn’t to me what everyone makes it to be.
Party Atmosphere at night , good food and the service was fast , I was in and out
Me and party had a great experience at Philippe’s our server Gustavo was outstanding. I would love to visit when I come to NY again.
All aspect of the dining were exceptional. The chicken satay .steamed dumplings . Peking Chicken .and baked Alaska were excellent and recommend them highly
From the greeting at the door, to the gracious hostesses, to the fantastic server, the warm and inviting decor and of course the delicious food, you can expect a truly enjoyable experience.
Much better than the midtown location.
Incredible spot for elevated Asian fare. Dining experience is top-notch; white-tablecloths and superb table-side service from wait staff, expediters, and managers. Would highly recommend the crispy beef and pork-soup dumplings!
It's share plates but the table x4 was way too small to accommodate and we were sat in the bar which was extremely loud. The food was good but overall a difficult experience
Would be a 5 star if they didnt forget that it was a birthday dinner. I selected birthday as the occasion when I booked the table. Ordered two desserts, none had a candle or sparkle on it. Food however was fantastic.
Everything was incredible!
Everything was cool just suck that we was stuck between 2 large parties in a corner where someone from that large party was all in our space as we were celebrating our anniversary and we could’ve barely hear each other!
I would recommend a friend. It was enjoyable experience but I think I personally would have to go another date and possibly at an earlier time to get a better experience.
It was my first time visiting Philippe’s and I was definitely pleased! I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday and wanted to surprise him by having them bring out a bottle of his favorite champagne. The manager was so accommodating and low-key I boyfriend had no idea what was going on. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. The food and atmosphere were both great. I will definitely be back.
Great ambiance. Fun and sexy lounge. However, food was rushed out quickly and was not that great or flavorful. Manager gave us a discount, just not as delicious as I’ve had in past times.
Im in love with the place!! Food was amazing! Excellent service!!
Too loud. Felt like a Club.
Very disappointing. The food was average and overpriced for the quality. I’ll stick to my local neighborhood Chinese restaurant next time.
Great place forlate night dining
Everything was outstanding - food, service and ambiance. Received rave reviews from all my guest as well.
