Absolutely horrible experience here. My boyfriend and I arrived and the hostess directed us to a guard to let us up the elevator. When we arrived to the terrace (I made an outdoor reservation for a table at 9:00) There was an empty podium with no signage and no hostess so we walked to the bar and ordered a drink. It was not crowded so we asked the bartender if we could sit anywhere and she said sure so we grabbed a table and sat down. About ten minutes later we saw two hostesses waiting on every table on the terrace but us. Both were clearly peeved we sat in their section but they never asked us to move. We ordered a few more drinks directly from the bar before we finally left. No water, no service, no communication from anyone. At ONE point the hostess asked if she could take our menu (after we had to go up to the once empty podium to ask for one and were STILL not waited on) and I thought that was SO funny. And RUDE. We felt so embarrassed like we were doing something wrong because NO ONE talked to us. At one point a big group came in (also with a reservation outside) and they tried to convince them to sit inside. Once again, it was not crowded on the terrace and there were multiple hostesses standing around acting busy. The group obviously wasn’t having it and sat down next to us anyway. Not sure if they were waited on but I doubt it. Just a really weird, horrible experience. I’ll never go back and I’ve told all my friends who live here in Manhattan to avoid it as well. Just such a bad experience. Oh, and the “flower tunnel” is dusty, tacky, and pathetic. Hope this place closes down.

Unbelievably disappointing. We waited for food for an hour and it never arrived. We spent there total of one hour and 30 minutes. At that point we were starving and couldn’t wait no more and went elsewhere. And it’s not like we ordered a main course - we ordered appetizers - some French fries, sliders and tacos. Imagine waiting on a French fries for an hour. No explanation whatsoever why it was taking this long. When I got home I realized they charged me double for one of the drinks. Instead of reducing a bill for a huge inconvenience they added extra to my bill just so it would be more “memorable”.

Our experience at Dream Midtown was very disappointing. The greeting staff from the security and hostess were great. But after that the experience went downhill. Our server was kind and personable but having to serve the entire upstairs indoor section it was only so much she could do. It took a while for our drinks to come out and then we noticed she was actually garnishing and tasting the guests drinks to ensure they were fine. But there were two bartenders just standing there. So it seemed like something was wrong with the drinks or her job expectations are bigger than they should be especially during rush hour. Then our food too about 40-45 mins to come out and then when it came out it was COLD. Which was extremely disappointing seeing as how we were very hungry. We were trying to get the servers attention but as the only person on the floor it was hard. So we had to ask a bartender to get the manager and then explained to him the experience. Also the ambiance was giving very touristy and better suited for tourists and not local New Yorkers look for an authentic chill vibe. Overall the experience was lackluster and disappointing and unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Manager Mesha and our server went above and beyond to open a space for us on the terrace. The view was beautiful and the cocktails were amazing (loved the lavender gin 💜). Unfortunately, I also forgot/lost my phone on the terrace that evening and all the managers Mesha, Chris and Johnny (I think this was the name) and our server were very helpful to find my lost phone. The next day it turned up! I am forever grateful for everyone's help in getting it back as many work apps and information was on this phone! Thank you!!! A+
