P.F. Chang's - Kansas City
With roots in Chinese cooking, the culinary landscape at P.F. Chang’s now stretches across Asia with diverse, culturally inspired recipes including hand-rolled sushi, Vietnamese-style soups and bowls, traditional Chinese dim sum, wok-fired chicken and beef entrées, and family style noodles and rice. All made from scratch every day.
Good food, loved the Happy Hour pricing (3p-6p), and our waitress was phenomenal!
My boyfriend and I came to eat here for prom! It was amazing we got sat right away with our reservation and were seated in a very nice booth as requested. Our server was super sweet and stayed on top of everything. The food was delicious! We both ordered the chow main. I got shrimp and he got chicken. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake and it was so good! No complaints here!! Great experience!!
Food was over cooked and lacked flavor as compared to other P.F. Chang’s restaurants, service was ok at best.
SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY...I would describe our experience as disappointing and mediocre. The food was meh, and we would have been better off at a cheap buffet. We spent over $100 to splurge for a date night, which was a waste. Everything was very slow, and the kitchen couldn't keep up with only a few tables full. I cannot imagine how they would handle the restaurant being busy (I'm assuming they don't have to worry about it being busy anymore). I saw two other tables complain and have items comped while we were there, same issues I described. Our appetizer took almost 30 minutes to come out, and then came at the same time as our dinner. We thought it had been forgotten but could never find an employee to ask for an update. We were then over charged from the advertised happy hour prices. We ordered our dinner probably 15 minutes after the app to attempt to stagger our meal, but clearly that didn't work out. We used to love eating here, but the quality has dropped dramatically and it is just not worth the money. Hit up your skety buffets, you'll enjoy it way more and spend less for the exact same food. I should have listened to the other reviews on OpenTable and not made a resverstion to come here at all, my mistake. Don't make the same one yourself.... keep in mind, I write a lot of OpenTable reviews and they are almost always 5 stars. I'm not one of those people who complains unless it is necessary.
Delicious. Best ever KungPao. Tyler effective waiter.
Waiter’s fingers were stained and dirty and he reeked of cigarette smoke. After 45 minutes, the Food that was brought out was not what was ordered (chicken instead of shrimp). We were asked to just take the order because remaking it would take 30-45 minutes more. The chicken was tough and hardly any sauce was applied. When the bill was brought out, nothing was adjusted for their mistakes. We have eaten at P. F. Changs many times in the past and this used to be my son’s favorite restaurant. I regret to say that we will not be back.
Food was okay. Not as good as I remember, since I haven’t been in several years.
We have eaten at PF Changs numerous times and this was probably the worst dining experience. We were seated and it took forever for our server to acknowledge us. She took our drink order and wanted to immediately take our dinner order but we told her no as wanted appetizers. We asked for water also and one of our appetizer plates was dirty and when she brought water, one of the glasses still had lipstick on it. We order appetizers and no drinks. After waiting and waiting and still no drinks, we flagged her down and ask her where our drinks were and she stated someone should have brought them to us. She came back with them and no appetizers yet. We saw a food runner with our appetizers trying to take them to another table and they said they weren't theirs and we tried to flag him down but he went back to the kitchen. It took several minutes before he came back out and they were only warm. Our server came by and we decided we'd better order. Our food came and it was average at best. Our server was rather scarce and there was a sign on the table to take a survey and receive a free dessert to ask the server. I asked her and she brought check and nothing else. At this point, I am done and other tables around us were also having server issues. We paid bill and left. Probably a while before we go back to PF Changs.
Food was delicious and service was great!
I hadn't been here in years and I have no idea why. The food was as great as I remembered and our server was very nice. Keep up the great work!
Had a fantastic waitress. The hostess, not so much.
Food good lacking sauces with entrees as they are a bit dry compared to other restaurants. Had to ask for sides of sauces as there was no flavor. I know you are on the Plaza and need to charge more as I am sure your rent is out of the roof but you are too pricey for Chinese food. Loved Pei Wei but they all closed and I thought they were better than P.F. Changs even though they were owned by P. F. Changs. Why did you close them in the KC area? If it was to bring more business to P. F. Changs it's not going to work unless you up your sauces and servings as for the price the serving portions were chincy. Need to stay with the competition or you will loose in the long run. Just sayin'.
We haven't been to PF Changs for a while and were pleasantly surprised upon our return last week. The craft cocktails started the meal off well. Lettuce wraps are always a delicious choice and our entrées were more than enough. Our server counldn't have been more accommodating and even offered to box our food to take with us. Overall, an awesome experience. Even the soundtrack was great. We will return!
I'd recommend with some reservations. Not as good as it used to be when sauce was prepared table side. The Mongolian beef did not seem well seasoned and I've had several times prior. Lettuce wraps continue to be an all time favorite as were the the pork steamed dumplings.
PF Chang's at the Plaza is quality restaurant that aims to please their customers. There was nothing more one could really ask for. I didn't have to wait for drink refills because our server was always right on time and paying close attention to our needs!
with reservations I stood by the door 45 minutes after checking in when I asked them what the hold up was wow my table was ready. Amazing! Then I got the table by an off set wall so no room at all very crowded by the door so every time the door opened a gust of cold wind and again the second and last time in a row for that table and me!
Food was great! Service was a little slow, but I know they had just opened up for the day. Overall I would go back again.
The food was good, but service was lacking.
We had a dinner for 6 for our grandaughters birthday. This restaurant always seems to be busy, and the only physical problem is a lack of space for waiting so the entry gets congested. The food that we ordered was all well prepared and the portions were very generous. Service was excellent even though the restaurant was busy.
Pretty terrible service
It is difficult to provide a review when the restaurant has a water break and does not make any effort to contact you in advance to let you know they will be closed. My wife and I did not discover this until we were parked and ready to walk in. Fortunately a neighboring restaurant had space, as we had tickets for an event and time was limited.
Maybe we just got a new person, but the service was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced at a Plaza restaurant. He was prompt enough about taking our drink and appetizer order, but everything went downhill from there. Not going to go into detail but eventually the manager came over to apologize, and said he’d comp some of our food which ended up being just our $5.95 dumplings and $5.00 edamame that we had already sent back because they were over cooked and mushy. Everything from the kitchen was very slow to come out.
Diamond gave us great service and we enjoyed the Restaurant Week choices.
Food was mediocre. Service was slow despite the number of waiters and few customers. We were obviously in a hurry and took 30 minutes to get our checks. Which were wrong and had to be sent back. I'd rather go to my local small Chinese restaurant.
Good food. Good service. Reservation honored promptly. Pacing good.
Nice atmosphere, good food, not too expensive. Overall, good value.
We were late to our reservation and they still seated us quickly. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing! We will be returning to this restaurant again! Completely satisfied and 100% outstanding service and food!
The service was great. We had a new years eve reservation but got there over 2 hours early and they still seated us. The food was really good and you get your money's worth. I'd definitely go there again and recommend it.
Did not get a waiter for a long time ,finally had to ask to get one . This was new years eve and not that crowded, after that all went well.
Loved it! Will definitely be back happy new year . Food and atmosphere was great
Food was good and the server was very nice, but the restaurant was overwhelmed with "Take Out" orders. Dinner was slow and an additional take our order we submitted with our dine in order took forever to get to our table (we sat at our table an additional 30 minutes to get the take out order). It would seem PF Chang's would give some consideration to the guests sitting in their restaurant over their Take Out order business, but this was shown otherwise on 12/31/2018.
Apps we ordered didn’t come out hot then our dinner never came. We finally paid bill and told them we had to leave. Manager was nice and brought a $25 gift card to us. Maybe they were short staffed with it being New Years.
The kitchen took forever getting our food to us. Way too long~
Seated 20 min after the reservation time, servers were over seated and over stretched, our food came out incorrectly and the server said that it had been happening to her all night.
had a reservation and waiting 20 minutes anyway. Music was way too loud...service was slow. Food was just ok.
Family dinner on the Plaza and it was outstanding! Best Gluten Free we have ever had. Our server Sarah was top notch and really knows her stuff - a delight.
Food took over 45 minutes. Poor service.
Great menu selection, ample portions and good service. Our family enjoyed a wonderful dining experience.
6 pm reservations and arrived 5:50. We did not get our table until 6:50. Pretty disappointed since it was my son’s 25th birthday.
Good as usual. Lettuce wraps were amazing
