P.F. Chang's - Hillsboro
Table was ready per reservation. Service was excellent as was the food.
Always a great place to go. The food is good, you can talk as the noise level is reasonable. The service was a little slow, but our waitress was very nice. Lettuce wraps always great!
Great food, great service! However, we requested when making a reservation for a booth and got a table in the middle of the restaurant instead. The waitress was very attentive.
Food was great and the servers and managers were super kind. They seemed very busy though, and there were hardly any clients at all. They seemed to follow a very loosed and scattered plan. But our food was brought to our table on time. The only complaint that I would have is that our table and the floor were excessively sticky. A little upset when my shoe almost came off my foot and stuck to the floor and my table refused to let go of my sleeve, but this is a very easy fix. All in all, this was very nice restaurant.
Spectacular. Great service. We were seated in a nice booth as requested. Love PF Changs!
Quite disappointed at this restaurant.
The honey chicken was not good. Almost like they dropped a whole bag of sugar in it and not in a good way.
The Dynamite Shrimp was not hot when it came out but overall it was a good flavor
The deep fried asparagus was mostly stuck together which made it not quite finger food. The flavor was good as was the siracha aioli
the edamame was as you would expect although there was no salt dusted on it so we had to ask for some.
The Mongolian beef was just ok. It was spicy hot as I asked for (another testament to our excellent waiter) but other than that the meat was tough and kinda stringy and there were. The plate looked a mess and not put together well at all.
My wife had the sea bass and “it was delightful”
Our waiter was spectacular!!! Can’t say enough good about him. Very attentive but not overly so. Never had him to drinks. And clean water. Rushed back with everything that was asked for As if we were his only table. Having been a waiter for many years in my youth I know how hard it is especially when somebody has kids with them as we do. He handled it perfectly all the way through in every instance every table visit. Even pre-bust the table as things got him today. I struggle to find anything wrong that he did the entire time he waited on us.
Normally the food is pretty good, but at least half our table of eight people thought the food was bland, too dry or too wet, and just plain off on this day
We checked in for our reservation on time. They said they were running a bit behind (fair). 30 minutes later after they were seating walk ins that came in after us, I checked with them and they forgot about us.
Meal was great though.
All delicious. - my all-time favorite - Chang’s Spivey Chicken and we had the Wall of Chocolate desert which was amazing.
Excellent food and good service. Table location was a bit noisy and breezy. Near the door.
Restaurant was very slow this day. They didn’t have our Open Table reservation until we exited. Sushi was mushy. Food great overall. Wait staff the slowest ever. We’ve never waited that long for every visit to our table. An odd day there.
We had reservations at 6:00 Christmas Eve with a request for a quiet space; it took almost 30 minutes to get seated as the place was mobbed. The server told us that food delivery would be at least an hour (the chef's wife had a baby the night before.)
On busy nights, I think the restaurant should make it clear to diners that their reservation is for a fixed time; the booth they expected to sit us in (a group of 5) was occupied by 3 people who had finished eating, had paid their bill, and were sitting talking. While it would be nice for diners to note that there was a crowd of people waiting to be seated and vacated the booth, the restaurant should be more proactive. Finally, we were seated at a table.
The servers were working very quickly and were quite apologetic, so kudos to them. The assistant manager came by to apologize, which was nice, but didn't speed anything up.
When we inquired about why they couldn't bring in another chef, she explained that it was against the rules to bring in someone short-term. This is Portland, OR. There is a cooking school in town, and a LOT of experienced restaurant people available. I found it hard to believe that there wasn't someone available to help out. Even if the person didn't know all of PFC's signature dishes, any help would have sped things up.
We will never go there on a Friday night!!again. Service, slow & forgetful but nice guy server!! Crispy Honey chicken-not crispy ..almost room temp. Food came SOOOO fast, we had just got our cocktails.
Also, very surprised that a gin & tonic comes without LIME. ended up going to bar (bartender cranky) & getting ourselves.
Always enjoy the food here. Never the cheapest option but seems like it’s more expensive than ever. Bummed they got rid of the sauce they made specifically for you for the lettuce wraps. Now it just comes premade.
The food was very off tonight. They brought our Mongolian beef dish and the beef was very dry, to the point that it almost tasted like beef jerky :( This dish is usually excellent, so this was a bit of a surprise. We called the manager over and sent back the dish and she said they would be remaking it. When they brought the new dish, it immediately looked different, but I declined to say anything further as had already waited another 15 minutes to get our replacement dish. They had used the sliced filet from another beef dish they serve instead of the flank steak that is supposed to go with the Mongolian beef. While I appreciate them trying to use a different cut of meat to make the dish (maybe the rest of their flank didn't look good?) they really should have checked with us whether that would be appropriate as the sliced filet is very fatty and not anywhere close to the flank steak used in the Mongolian beef dish. Also, our kids honey crisp chicken was also overcooked and had very little sauce, this dish is usually a knock out and very hard to mess up. Overall it was just a little disappointing as this location's food quality is usually superb and we always leave satisfied and anxious to come back the next time around. I spoke with the manager about the dish afterwards and she was unaware the cooks had swapped the beef to the other type. She did refund the cost of the Mongolian beef dish which I appreciate. Hopefully our next experience will be better, this go around was definitely a miss.
Our waiter was amazing. Cant remember his name. Overall great. We are regulars. Wish you bring back the the 2 for1 dinner $40 and then bring back your old signature drink nutty uncle. I was disappointed both were gone. But still great
Made a reservation thru Open table , showed up on time on a Saturday evening and then had to wait 15 minutes for a table to open up. Ordered and 10 minutes later was told the wait would be 30 to 45 minutes. Waited a full hour to get served and the suggestion our server had was to order appetizers to 'fill in the time'. That is pretty unacceptable, just to add calories and $ to the bill. When the food finally came, the servings were large enough not to require an appetizer or a dessert unless we were in the mood for a 2000 calorie splurge (its not quite the holidays yet!). My serving was barely warm , daughter #1 food was very hot and daughter #2s was just right so there was obviously a kitchen timing issue. Anyway, i never had to write a review about PF Chang because its usually very good but I can't recommend this location.
