Petty Cash is a neighbourhood social house on the corner of Portland & Adelaide in the heart of Toronto. Sitting on the border between two of the city’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, Petty Cash offers familiar dishes with insane flavour.
Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors feel like a regular.

The food was ready good. The mac&cheese balls were so good. The place was loud because of some office/intern drinking party in the area we were seated in. But the service was really bad. Our server herself was pretty nice. But the lady who sat us was super rude and kept slamming everything she brought to the table. The menu, glasses etc. someone from a nearby table has taken a chair from the table she sat us on and she got the chair back and pushed it so hard that it almost fell after hitting the table. She was very angry for some reason and if she was mad we were there. She wasn’t warm and welcoming at all and was simply angry and rude. Then we had to wait for like twenty minutes for sb to come take our order. We went at 7:15 for happy hour and we were able to place orders at like 7:40-ish. So we had to rush and place all drinks order because the server came so late before happy hour ended. The manager (who is new as we were told) came to serve one of our dishes and we placed orders for our second round and he upgraded to some different kind of rum (I believe it was Malibu) which was not included in the happy hour. He did not even ask us if we wanted that special rum or not. Just updated without confirming or being asked to. They were kind enough to make the adjustment but not asking is misleading. This is not something we expect from a manager of a whole restaurant. Overall good food, very poor service.

Great scene to be in, waiters and waitresses were extremely nice, will definitely be visiting again!

Awesome place to go for happy hour! Shared the mac and cheese croquettes, pizza, and rigatoni with my friends, and it was very fulfilling. Would go again!

We were disappointed at how limited the menu was. The food was OK. They advertise it as a party place with Live Bands but when we went it was one guy playing a guitar with no one listening to him. Maybe just an off night.

Went there for happy hour and my boyfriend and I were confused what’s included in the happy hour and what’s not. Ambiance was good, service was not.

Our food was good, and we went during happy hour, so there was good value for price. The live music was great, but a little loud at times and I thought the drinks were a little weak (drinking doubles for 1/2 price). However, our waitress was nice and attentive. Overall, good experience.
