Chefs Steve Gonzalez & Nathan Middleton have joined forces on this venture, with experience and creativity coming to the table from both. From imaginative plating to murals on our walls from local artists, the artistic backbone of Petty Cash stems from the bordering communities of King & Queen West.
Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors feel like a regular.
We look forward to seeing you!
Over priced, small portions, and low quality food.
This is definitely more the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night out. Otherwise, the music was so loud we had to scream to hear one another. I genuinely couldn’t tell who was staff and who were friends of staff or customers. It honestly felt like we were invading on their staff party/that we weren’t meant to be there. Our server was nice enough but you could tell everyone didn’t want to be there/didn’t want to be doing their jobs.
Thank you for your feedback Samantha. We take reviews seriously and look to continuously improve our guest experience. Regarding the music, we like people to be able to hear one another when dining and will look into that right away. As for our staff, we never want people to feel that they are intruding which is never the case. If you would like to visit us again please feel free to contact me at 416.735.5311 and I would be happy to ensure your group has a great experience. Scott Denis AGM
The food was yummy and the service was amazing 🤩
Id recommended sitting outside if you’re looking for a chilled out bite to eat.
Great little gastropub with VERY competitive pricing. Definitely reccomend the queso and beef tacos. I ordered 5 dishes as I found I wanted to try most of it. Will return happily and congrats on 1 year
The overall experience was enjoyable, though my jacket went missing and upon trying to contact them about their lost and found, there was no answer on their phone the several times I called and no response to a voice message left regarding the lost item either. Their customer service is lacking in this regard and would like this matter addressed.
Petty Cash's Cinco de Mayo party was so poorly planned-- we had a reservation and showed up on time, however, it took about 15 mins for a server to even acknowledge us and bring us waters and a menu. By the time we got to place our order they had run out of a few menu items. We attempted to order again, only to be told they had run out of food again. We ended up leaving. Not a great first impression, will just stick to coming here for drinks (if anything).
The advertised deal was greatly misleading. The deal was "$1 wings and $1 beers", but you had to get a regular priced beer, not a $1 beer, in order to get the wings deal (which at $1 a wing, is not that much of a deal). And then we found out that the "$1 beers" were 2 oz small sample sized beers of their house beer, which works out to the same price as a pint, so not even a deal. On top of all this, they ran out of wings at 8pm??? On their own prescribed wing night. Probably not going here again.
High energy and very social. Get there early to avoid line ups or book ahead.
Really good, always busy bar in Toronto and the food is actually really good for a bar! Great music and vibes.
