Poitrine de poulet marinée aux fines herbes et fini avec citron et l'huile d'olive. [Chicken breast marinated with fine herbs and topped with lemon and olive oil]
Saumon / Salmon
Great, fresh food.
One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. Everything's perfect
Walked over from the Van gogh exhibit at the Armoury
Very convenient location, brand new location only one month old. The decor is lovely kitchen far enough away from main dining room so as not to have a ventilation issue.
Have been to Westmount location and the noise level and poor ventilation made for a one time, never again experience .
Service was on, friendly staff, we ordered sea bass, fresh and perfect, Lima beans, delicious and 2 chicken soups which hit the spot on a cold damp night. Would recommend and will return!
Restaurant was closed....... website still has the old address on it, phone number not in service. At restaurant says moving soon to 1613 Wellington, went there, not a restaurant...... disaster. You try finding a restaurant on a Saturday night at last minute.
Unacceptable...to say the least.
To begin with, the restaurant had moved and I was never informed of the new address. The website as well as the information from this App were both out of date.
The phone number on the website was out of service and I had to call another Petros to obtain the new address.
Service was initially acceptable but quickly the entire evening went downhill. A large group had reserved a large portion of the restaurant and their music, which was inexcusably loud, prevented our group from having successful conversations - it was impossible for us to hear the person next to us that was speaking. Note that the music was blaring through a powerful sound system operated by a disc jockey. At one point I requested that the waitress have the makeshift curtain/sound barrier drawn closed to minimize the loud music on the side where we were seated. Shortly afterwards the curtain was opened, but the curtain did very little to lower the noise coming from the sound system.
I ordered the red snapper only to be informed shortly afterwards that there was no red snapper available. This was a 19:00 reservation - how could they be missing something on their menu so early in the evening?
As for the service, our waitress managed to disappear completely once she had dropped off the menu for desserts at the end of the dinner. This is after I was informed that only filtered coffee was available as the specialty coffee machine was not yet functional at their new location.
I finally had to go find our waitress in order to have her provide us with our checks. I asked her if she thought it was acceptable for the restaurant to accept normal diners when they were having a large group with a sound system. She said it was as it was the Christmas party season. Had I been informed ahead of time I would never have reserved at the Griffintown Petros.
Going back to this Petros - never.
Telling my friends and family to avoid this Petros at all costs - you can bet on it.
Great! Enjoyable ambiance and good food.
Très bel expérience. Omario le serveur est vraiment agréable. La nourriture super bonne les entrées à partager calamars frits une turies la pieuvre grillé et le tarama poissons léger et frais beignets miel à partager au dessert le tout vraiment bon !!
This was my second visit to Petros-Griffintown and was equally enjoyable as the first time, back in January. I had the rack of lamb (again) and it was excellent and a generous portion. My husband rarely orders fish but liked the red snapper very much.
I will definitely be going to Petros again and would recommend the restaurant to others.
Very good price - quality ratio
Food was really good but service was slow
BYOW restaurant - that charges you 2$ for the wine you bring even if you unscrew your own wine bottle with NO help and bring it home! Not something that was clearly mentioned during the service! Also, service was quite slow for a Sunday night, but the foods (fried calamari, Petros signature chicken, salmon, fries, feta dip) were amazing and well seasoned. Would definitely try another location next time.
The food was very good, but the service can be improved, we asked for extra bread at least 7 times to 3 different waiters before someone brought us some bread.
Food, service and ambience excellent. A bit pricey but we'll be back often nonetheless.
Excellent restaurant. Outstanding food and service. Noise level was high this visit, generally crowded but less noisy. Will be back.
Pétrins Griffintown is a small and charming bistro specializing in Greek cuisine
It is especially affordable at kunch and offers a varied menu with something for every taste
Service is warm and efficient
Food great value and a delight to visit not once but many times
Bonne table grecque «apportez votre vin», service attentif. La pieuvre est délicieusement cuisinée.
Excellent food, very friendly service. Highly reccomend the peyros special; eggplant and zucchini chips served with tzaziki, absolutely perfect!
The jumbo shrimp were excellent and the service incredible plus it is byob
Great place and amazing food. Perhaps the service should be a bit better. We were at an 8 pm dinner. We didn’t get served water, bread or poured our until 30 minutes later. Our food was brought very late and we were getting hungry.
Appetizers were very tasty, especially the fried zucchini, and good value. The squid had a previously frozen and defrosted taste, and the waiter completely forgot one appetizer (we were not charged). Main was a delicious snapper, perfectly cooked, but it was quite small and the charge was $75.00. On the whole, we had a good time with good food and it is bring your own wine.
Bonne cuisine, joli décor, niveau sonore léger. J’y retournerai avec plaisir.
Great food, great service and nice ambiance. We tried the sardines, zucchini, octopus, lamb, shrimp and fish and everything was authentic and delicious!
Great food and service
Nice easy to get to and everyone enjoyed.
Excellent food and service! Great Greek cuisine! Lots of choice with fresh ingredients.
Excelent and fresh food!
I had grilled calamari, superfresh greek salad and a whole seabass to share. I will definitely go again!
A lovely evening out with friends - the food, service and ambiance all contributed to it.
I highly recommend the “tasting menu” family style. We got to try a lot of the most popular menu options and it didn’t disappoint. The four of us left there stuffed and the price was very reasonable.
The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and gave us good options. Unfortunately, after we received our meals, a big group behind us basically got all the attention, so I had to wait quite a long time to get a second glass of water, which was annoying that I had to flag someone down for that. The food was fine, but being Greek I have certain standards and the calamari lacked flavor and i wasn't a big fan of the breading. The moussaka was quite good, but the galaktobouriko was soggy and not great and the presentation was lacking. It was good but just ok as an overall experience.
Terrible service. Several items we ordered were not available. We waited 20 minutes for bread for our appetizer dips. Waiters were curt bordering on rude. The food that we ordered was very tasty. Portions good. Good value for money but the unavailable items and rudeness mean that I will never return.
Our server, Kimberly is the best!! Thanks Kimberly for your patience!
Vraiment bien.
Absolutely loved our experience here. The food was amazing as was the service! We will be back!
We had a wonderful time. And a WONDERFUL waitress Kimberley. She made our experience that much better.
We normally go to the Westmount location on Sherbrooke Street, this one is smaller and more intimate. The menu is 90% the same, though there are a few differences, such as the beans are not an automatic side dish to go along with the fish. The quality is the same, the service is attentive and the pricing is reasonable for what you get. Remember that this is BYOB, and you can drink red with fish - try something from Burgundy, the Rhone, or a Oregon/Washington Pinot Noir. Enjoy!
Absolutely I will get back
No matter the occasion
Service and food is made the way it should be
Best Greek restaurant in Montreal
Great food and great ambiance. Love that it's bring your own wine also! Will definitely be back.
A repeat visit to Petros which resulted in unmet expectations. Both previous visits were well-executed and priced at great value. Concept has recently changed and was a surprise at our latest visit. Full a la carte menu whereas previous visits were table d'hote, 4-course all-inclusive dinner. Was disappointed in the change in concept but remained to dine nevertheless. Surprised at oysters appetizer at $4 each with wine vinegar dip, and the Porgy dish arrived tepid at best. Had to return to be reheated - a 45-second trip to the salamander was their solution - but only served to dry the dish and get a very hot plate for the trouble. Not impressed.
Other items served included salmon as well as a tentative order of swordfish (tentative as waiter indicated that previous guests had commented on the saltiness of the dish). Ordered the dish regardless and tasted very much like a salt-water swordfish should, definitely not overly salty as feared. A brief conversation with the cook on leaving the restaurant had me express my concern about the definition of saltiness of salt-water fish to the wait staff, hopefully cleared that up!
Probably won't return anytime soon.
