I have always enjoy meeting clients here. Always good service never disappointed.
The restaurant has a nice feel to it although the food I had was good, it was nothing that makes me want to come back again. It was fine but again nothing exceptional or great!
Food was fabulous, as well as the service. We had a bottle of wine, the cheese and meat plate, the Petite salad (huge), rack of lamb, beef wellington and creme boulee. The service was first rate, the only downside was a large bill at the end but it was great!
First let me say our waiter and staff were outstanding.
The food quality is five stars.
The kitchen has incredible talent.
I think it is a "World Class Restaurant".
We celebrated a friend's 91st birthday there and were treated like very special guests. The menu covered varied interests and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waiter made a special cocktail for the table and the hostess took our picture for our birthday girl. I will definitely go back for special occasions and everyday lunches alike.
The menu was diverse and interesting. Two quiches were ordered and enjoyed. The grilled salmon was prepared medium, plated as requested.
The strawberries Romanoff was a special finish to four delicious meals.
I took my wife to Petit Violette for her Birthday. I ordered coq au vin and she had Duck. Both were well prepared. My wife thought the duck was the best she had eaten since similar meal we shared in Rocamador, France. Our waiter was very professional and warm and welcoming. We'll be back in the future.
The food and wine were fantastic
My nephew and his wife, who live in Charlotte, wanted to come to Atlanta to take me out for my birthday . I suggested Petite Violette and sent them a link to your menu. We went last Saturday night. The weather was great so we asked to sit on the porch (surprisingly, we were the only ones on the porch) and all had great meals! Thanks to Giovanni for her service and thanks to the chef for great meals. We had a lovely evening.
I had birthday dinner here on a beautiful Friday night in February. We sat out on the patio, which is beautiful. The wine, French onion soup and salads were delicious. The duck was cooked perfectly! We did have dessert, flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake, which were both ok, but I’d recommend getting another starter or glass of wine instead. We also used the valet which was easy and the service was lovely. Will come back, especially for the patio and duck!
Very friendly staff, great food, reasonable wine list and pleasant music.
Fantastique, superbe, delicieux. You will not be disappointed!
The food was very tasty and our server was very nice. I just the portions were larger.
Fantastic food and wine. Live music set a pleasant mood. I was expecting a prettier facility. I recommend this place as a one-time occasion, but pay top dollar for your date and you won't regret it at all.
Petit Auberge and Violettes were two long extablished French cuisine restaurants in Atlanta. The two 'coming together' as Petit Violette has brought the best of both out and reenergized the category.
The server was excellent and well versed in the menu. Food was outstanding. My wife had the Cordon Bleu and I had the Beef Wellington. Both were excellent. Sauces were very good as well. Great place for a date night, business dinner, anniversary, or any special occasion.
The food and ambiance were lovely! My salmon was cooked to medium as requested and full of flavor. I don't read French, but the menu offered English to help translate the entree's names. I highly recommend this place for a couple's dinner. I went for a business lunch meeting.
Not worth the cost of food. Read all reviews not just ones on Open Table.
Made reservations for Valentine's Day. We didn't realize they had a fixed price menu until we walked through the door; it was not mentioned when they called us to confirm the online reservation--only, conveniently, at the door. My girlfriend and I were like, well, we could eat at McDonald's tonight without a reservation. Truth be told, if the $75 per plate 5-course meal that followed had been top notch the lack of disclosure would have been fine. If filet mignon had been offered as a main course or a glass of wine included with the meal, instead of cheesy fake rose petals, Mylar balloons, and an infuriating noise level, I'd have been satisfied.
I'll say that the puff pastry on the escargots was nice, and the sea bass was good. The she crab soup was gritty, a little bland, and a very weirdly small portion, filling up only about 1/3 cup. I've had much tastier with a much more generous portion. Turned out the creme brulee was the best part of the meal.
After the meal, bottle of wine, gratuity, and obligatory $10 tip to the (annoyingly pointless) valet, we were left feeling a little duped.
Way overpriced for the quality of the food and the location.
Salad was not fresh and was straight out of a public bag.
Meat was not cooked properly, my server did not know about how to take an order of duck and it resulted in me getting raw duck which made me sick all night.
The dessert were just ok.
Only good thing was the appetizer and the soup.
The place was pretty ugly for fine dining, no attention to details.
Wine selection was awful for a French restaurant, as well as terrible bread.
The food was amazing . I would definitely recommend this place for a nice date or an anniversary.
Food was good if you order right. I ordered sushi at a French Rest. yuck.
The lobster crepe was great! My hubby had 2lobster tails perfectly cooked with
plain rice and our asparagus was lightly blanched without seasoning or sauce.
I had the most wonderful steak (like welling) yummy and crème brul desert.
Great VD food wonderful . Music was awesome! Guy on Guitar was as good as the desert!
What a nice surprise! Ambiance was nice, service was outstanding and food was fabulous! Added bonus, they have live music.
Good service and friendly staff. Convenient location.
A great go-to place for important occasions. The food is consistently wonderful and the service is great.
Excellent Food with a wide range of options. Wonderful atmosphere for conversation.
Not what it used to be.
Need 50 characters here, but have nothing more to say
Carrots in Coq au vin were overcooked, but as I have never had French cuisine before, perhaps that is the way they are supposed to be. Flavor of chicken was outstanding! Potatoes served with Chicken Cordon Blue were dry, but had good flavor. Salad and Brussel Sprouts were delicious.
The food is delicious. We were celebrating a good friend's birthday, and we all had a wonderful time.
Excellent service, superb food, easy parking. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient.
Excellent evening with my wife. She had sea bass I had the rack of lamb both dinners were truly outstanding.
The food, service, live music were superb. We are there to celebrate two birthdays. Everybody had a wonderful time. Love this place and will be back soon I hope.
Very good service. Good spot for special occasion dining.
Charming old Atlanta restaurant that has managed to stay relevant. The clientele is primarily the chic mature set from Brookhaven and Buckhead. Food is quite good; corkage fee is on the high side at 18.50 but wine list could be stronger so may want to bring your own.
Fabulous food! Beautiful dining area. Always love being at Petite Violette. 👍
We recently held a quarterly board meeting/dinner for six people, for which I requested a
"quiet" table when making the reservation. The restaurant provided an out of the way table, attentive staff, and delicious food at a reasonable price.
There for my birthday everything was really nice. I have a 12 year old special needs child who was warmly accommodated. Everyone had a really nice time n food was great.
The food was authentic French and very tasty; the service was ok, somehow mistaking some fish salad for the onion soup that my husband ordered (but quickly correcting it). The ambiance was where I really knock down the review. I have been to many French restaurants with this quality of food and this price point, but this one is just lacking in ambience. The food isn't good enough to make up for it. I would maybe call this a "bistro" with pricey food. It's chilly and noisy and the walls are practically bare of any art. The tile floor and open ceiling just make the noise far worse. The echos drowned out the live performer. I would recommend this place to my father, who loves French food, but my mother would never be able to hear him over the din. To that end, I was disappointed.
A favorite restaurant for both a very nice dining experience and to celebrate special occasions. Excellent French and German cooking. Reasonably priced for the overall experience.
Average food. Fine ambiance. If you want good French food there are better options in Atlanta. Their lunch is better than their dinner.
