The food was great but the Manager and support staff was extremely lacking. First, we had a new server, which is perfectly fine with us, but the manager nor any other server helped. She was not set up for success and we felt it during our experience. We didn’t see the manager at all on the floor which means the manager did not check on any tables during the two hours we were there. The serving team seemed to only focus on their own tables. Not a team mentality, you should succeed together or fail together. That was not the case Friday night on 3/5/2021. After leaving, we decided to call to give feedback to the manager. The first thing he did was blame the server, stating she was new and he thought she was ready. He took ZERO responsibility. He had nothing really to say on why he wasn’t on the floor or why he didn’t stop at tables. He mentioned being busy but it wasn’t in the front of house. The sad thing is the food was fantastic but the foundation and support structure is lacking. So much, we will not return.
Excellent food and service
We had a great waitress and service! Food was fantastic as ALWAYS!!! Already highly recommended Petite Violette to all my coworkers!! Great spot for date night!
Fabulous food! Great and attentive service! Nice and safe atmosphere! We will return!
Service was a little lax but only when compared to the stellar service we always receive. Understandable, they were very busy for the first time since the pandemic. It was wonderful to see!! The food was delicious as always.
I had always been wanting to try a beef Wellington, and I thought I would give this place a go for that. And boy, was I not disappointed! The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious and a wide ranging menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to have an authentically European experience in Atlanta!
Excellent service and food
Food was great, we had a few miscommunications on our orders that were rectified. I had found a restaurant that knows a good escargot. I would have loved to add this restaurant to my list of favorites but shortly after leaving we found that our server forged a larger tip than the fair amount that was left despite our order mix ups.
With food so great in a location so nestled and hidden away from the mainstream, service and integrity should be of more importance, it is the regular business and customers that help restaurants thrive especially en lieu of COVID-19
Visit with my daughter.
We've been enjoying Petite Violette even more during the virus pandemic...it's been dependable, safe and always a great meal!
Service was great, food was great.
Absolutely excellent
Valentine's Day prix fixe dinner was excellent. Stacey C. our server was attentive and discreet. Reservation was toward the end o the evening but everything came out on time, perfectly cooked and we enjoyed the evening very much Great date place.
The place had a nice mix of people. They were professional and friendly. They did keep people safe with the seating was spaced out and staff wearing masks and gloves. The menu was specific for Valentines day but they did provide choices. The food was tasty and the staff were very knowledgeable about wine pairings. Overall it was a good experience. I would go back again.
Always GREAT food!
The food is great and the service is excellent. The Beef Wellington is amazing.
It was cold and the food was ok. Also it was a little expensive for what you received.
Went for Valentine’s Day. The food was decent although not special. The service was PHENOMENAL, could not compliment my server enough. The ambiance is like a modernized country club—strange for a “french” restaurant. Also maybe it’s because of the special menu but basically none of the food was french. If you want B quality food for an exorbitant price, you’ve found your match; however, truth be told you can get the same quality food from an everyday chain/hole in the wall.
This is an excellent restaurant that is reasonably priced. It is a favorite of ours. The food and service are excellent. The menu has enough choices to satisfy most all tastes.
Great service and very good food
Decorated for Valentines Day weekend and the atmosphere was festive. French Onion Soup is always the best starter.
Great food with wonderful froends
My “.go to restaurant first. I am there once a week for lunch or dinner &!where I choose not take friends! I hv my favorite table & they always nmaje certain It is reserved for me. Food is always excellent & I always have the French Onion soup - the best in city!!
I found the mussels are excellent. Have them every time.
Wonderful. Our waiter Kendrick is fabulous. We rarely leave Midtown but this is worth it. All the class of a true French restaurant.
Birthday. They made it special
We had an outside table, it was a warm day and it was exquisite. Nice granite top tables outside.
This is a fantastic restaurant. All employees were friendly and helpful. Menu choices were great and anyone can find something to eat that is well prepared and served graciously and politely by a great staff.
Recommended for all.
Mine and my wife’s first time eating here and we were highly impressed. We’ve eaten all over Atlanta and we think of ourselves as foodies. The ambiance is not bad just a tad out dated but the service and food was top notch! We will definitely be dining here again.
First time at this restaurant, chose based on Yelp reviews and the menu. COVID comment: the sitting strategy during our time at the restaurant was in compliance with all guidelines (6 foot spacing between parties) all staff wore masks (not all customers in common spaces).
Appetizers: Caprese salad, Fois Gras: both were very good, the Fois Gras was well seared on both sides, served over sliced apples with a small green salad.
Entrees: Duck, Scallops, Steak Frites.
The duck was cooked well (medium), very tender, served with green beans (perfectly cooked - firm yet tender) and a sweet potato cake).
Scallops were well seasoned and seared (five pieces), substituted green beans and rice pilaf (without issue) from what was stated on the menu.
The steak frites cooked medium rare (as requested), well seasoned, with a cream sauce, greens beans and frites (french fries). The greens beans were excellent (and a good sized portion unlike some restaurants that give you 3 or 4) and the french fries were some of the best that I have ever had, light and crispy with a bit of garlic oil and parmesan.
Dessert: Profiteroles, Bread Pudding, Apple Tart
The profiteroles were a bit disappointing - they almost seemed to be stale, with the pistachio ice cream being a little too green to seem normal.
The bread pudding was quite good, served warm - dense and moist, in a 'pool' of caramel sauce (almost too much) and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The apple tart was excellent, served over a plate adorned with a thick caramel icing, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. (My daughter used some of my caramel sauce from the bread pudding to 'enhance' her apple tart).
The staff was very cordial and accommodating. The co-owner came over and discussed with us a few minutes at the end of our meal.
I highly recommend and will return next time I am in Atlanta.
Great food, excellent staff, great experience. Would recommend to anyone
Came here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and it was quite the
The venue was nice. Pulling up to the restaurant my wife was looking crazy because I told her it was going to be a nice space to eat. Once we went inside she was at a loss of words from what you saw from the out presentation. The service was great and the food was everything we could imagine. This spot will most definitely be a stop on our future dates
Delightful hole in the wall spot. Very friendly owner and wait staff
Great as always
Always my favorite place! Elegant, yummy food, great service and calm atmosphere. My go-to for special celebrations.
I hate to say that I was disappointed. I think it's a nice restaurant for a typical night out, but we went for our anniversary & I just don't think it was special enough for such occasion. It's not romantic, as I was hoping, and in fact, it's quite loud from surrounding patrons.
The food was good, but not great. I had the filet mignon, and it was tough - which should not be the case. My partner had the beef wellington and was not impressed.
Overall, we spent a lot of money for just an "ok" night out.
The beef wellington was amazing and cooked to perfection. We got the escargot which had great texture and was not salty like the other places I've had it.
Great as always.
Great food & service at reasonable prices since 1974
Had an excellent lunch - excellent food, surprisingly large serving sizes and attentive service.
