We celebrated our anniversary dinner at Petite Violette and had a wonderful time. The food was amazingly good, and so was the service.
The food is always excellent as is the service.
Excellent food as always and attentive servers. We ate there for lunch and all of the salads were great... especially the tuna!
Good food and service.
First person we encountered was the valet, and he was very pleasant! Considering the highway intersection location for this establishment, the interior has a completely different vibe, like French countryside old world. The cozy bar looked inviting. Another time, perhaps. The main dining room was too noisy, and we asked not to be seated in the middle of two aisles. Pleasant service, although our server seemed less experienced on a few points. Nothing serious, though. The food was very traditional and very well presented, and delicious. Our special occasion, anniversary, was not acknowledged. Even so, this is a place one should consider for a celebration.
Great food. Good value for money. Excellent wine list. Well worth a visit and deserves its reputation as an institution in the area
The ambience set the mood for a wonderful evening as we walked in and were seated. A string ensemble played great music while we dined in fabulous meals. We had the excellent sea bass and the special of two lobster tails with drawn butter, which was outstanding and offered at a very reasonable price. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back soon.
The service for a group of six people was very good with attention to each individual as well as to the group as a whole. When the temperature became unpleasantly warm, the staff move us quickly to a table that was more in the shade. The lunch gather was most pleasant.
Delicious food, excellent wine, great service, nice ambiance, and a talented guitarist playing songs I recognized.
Excellent food and service along with great guitar music. Very willing to make additions to dishes like anchovies added to caesar salad and add additional vegetable.
Excellent, as always. Nice restaurant for fine dining. Excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, but great for just a nice dining experience. I definitely recommend it.
Friendly environment with authentic French food - the service was excellent and very friendly.
Food was delicious. Would definitely go back. Took my Mom there for their Mother's day brunch
Petite Violette is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a first choice for special occasions and Holidays. Food excellent, service outstanding. Grab some olive oil and 25 Year aged balsamic vinegar from the boutique on your way out.
We were Petite Auberge customers for over 30 years and followed it to Petite Violette since the Auberge relocated. My wife ordered Salade Alsacienne and the Trout Amandine and both were perfect. I had my favorite Salad Petite Auberge and Veal Scalopini and both were delicious and tasty! We shared our favorite dessert from the old Petite Auberge, Strawberry Romanoff!
We will be back for sure! keep up the good work and service!
Fantastic food and great ambience, especially when the band is playing. Service can be spotty and the valet is annoying but otherwise a great experience. Will definitely be back.
They did a wonderful job as we celebrated a special birthday for a friend! Food and service were top notch!
Very much like Petite Auberge...unfortunately. Mediocre food and service.
We have dined at Petite Violette many times, and it is one of our favorite restaurants. We'd never had anything there that we didn't like until Saturday when my friend ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu and found it to be pretty tasteless. We told the manager, and he apologized and took the cost off the bill. He wants to keep loyal customers and so was very wise to do what he did. We will definitely keep going there. The food, service and ambience are wonderful.
The food is good. Service was not. I would recommend it, but know in advance that you'll be the one looking for the wait staff...and making up-sale suggestions (i.e. coffee, dessert) and asking for drink refills or bread.
This was an 40th wedding anniversary dinner for my wife and another couple who had been at our wedding. The soup salad and entrées were perfect. There was a mixup on the drink water but the wait staff handled it perfectly. Petite Violette may be the best value inn fine dining in north east Atlanta.
Always love this restaurant. Go to place for special times with friends.
dinner was excellent in a great setting. Our server and staff in general were also excellent; attentive but not intrusive. We've been going to Violette for years and it has maintained the same high standards or we wouldn't continue to return.
Petite Violette never disappoints. Welcoming, pleasant, low-key setting. Friendly, helpful service. Consistently delicious food. Always a pleasure to dine there and to recommend it to others.
Good food and good service. Server, Kedrick, was great!
Great Service and Great Food
My husband and I were excited about our first time at Petite Violette. We had reservations for the Easter Lunch. Unfortunately, the experience was a disappointment. The food was below par -- the potato soup was more like a canned veggie soup. The snapper was very dry. The chocolate dessert was very dry and the Key Lime pie didn't even taste of key lime. We had to ask for bread, and I had to reach over to another table to replenish my silverware after a course. Our empty champagne glasses were left on the table after we had received our dinner wine. We were not offered coffee with our dessert and we were brought our check without asking if there was anything else we need. We really wanted to like this restaurant - we love french food and we were looking forward to going to a "local" french restaurant.
I have nothing but praise. The service was outstanding.....always available but yet not intrusive. Seamless. The food.... brilliant. Perfectly cooked and flavored. Literally from soup to dessert. Excellent value for the money. The ambiance.... lovely. It was Easter, and every table a a bit of Easter on it.....baskets of pretty eggs, eggs in 'grass' ( all eggs plastic, of course, but beautiful colors!) Or chocolate bunnies. In general, lovely pictures of Paris everywhere, and an attractive bar. We would go back in a minute
We had a wonderful experience. It was my 65th birthday celebration and the music Trio set my name and sing me a birthday song. Our waitress was wonderful. There was an office group in a corner that was very loud. The noise did carry.
I highly recommend. Beef welington is amazing and so I the conard (duck).
Was great beef Wellington the mussels were amazing and my husbands filet mignon was cooked to perfection.
Just right for celebrating my friend's birthday. Was thrilled that the waitress brought us a birthday treat - was a special thing to happen for my friend.
We had a nice lunch and good experience. I suggest eliminating a valet at lunch time since many prefer to park their own vehicles unless the parking area is full. Also we felt rather rushed at times to finish sooner than we would have liked. It was obviously the end of a shift.
If you are looking for a quit romantic dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Don’t expect anyone to even say hello in French.
Top notch from start to finish! Highly recommended!
We had a lovely date night and it’s been a while since we dined here so we decided to treat ourselves to some fabulous French cuisine! It was superb as usual! I missed seeing Karen, Michael and Anthony but got to see an unexpected familiar face - so happy Vivian has joined your team!! She’s always a delight! We will return soon!
We loved the place the food and the service
We will be back
The salad Petite Auberge (formerly Mushroom Salad Ritz) was excellent, served with a mixed green salad and heart of palm. The Mussels were excellent. Dessert of Strawberries Romanof was typically delicious. The only less-than-perfect item was the entrée, Schnitzel Wiener Art, winch was unusually dry and not hot when presented. Service was excellent.
My husband and I had an excellent dinner there on a Saturday evening. We loved our food. The beef wellington and beef bourguignon were excellent as were the creme brulee and the chololate pot de creme. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. They offer valet parking, which is a plus.
We will look forward to going there again when we are in Atlanta.
I've been going to Atlanta's oldest French restaurant since the 1980's (including under its original name of Petite Auberge) and the quality of food, ambience and service have consistently been excellent.
