Lovely lunch for my birthday.
Service great. Noise level very high. Hard to hear music but performer excellent when we could hear her. Took my children and they loved the food. Had a fantastic bottle of wine too.
I love that the have a “wild” menu. The bison was delicious.
Just a night out with my wife!
We go to this restaurant maybe once every few months, and have always been very satisfied. This time my wife had the scallops, and I had the rack of lamb, and both were scrumptious. For appetizers I had the foie gras, and she had a salad, again, both very good. We brought with us a nice bottle of our own wine, and paid a reasonable corkage fee of $19. Only gave 4 stars for service , because we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table seating. (They were very busy.) Our waitress was very attentive. The live music did raise the energy level. Petite Violette will remainthe on our list of go to restaurants.
Very courteous servers and great food as always. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
My family has been eating here for many years and have always had great service and excellent food. The servers are very friendly and helpful when ordering.
Always a favorite and consistently great experience.
Went for a special occasion, everything was perfect, food, wine, wait staff.
Always lovely. Wonderful ambience, delicious food, charming music. Great evening with family.
Consistently delicious food and impeccable service.
We ALWAYS enjoy this jewel of a restaurant that continues to cling to traditional values when it comes to preparing and serving fine foods! Are you SICK AND TIRED of "fast casual" trendy and uninteresting food unfit for a date or special occasion? Are you SICK AND TIRED of menus that offer the same ole boring fare with a slick new name or the addition of some weird topping or ingredient to prove some semblance of gourmet creativity? Are you searching for a restaurant that offers consistent quality and ambiance plus excellent service and entertainment? If so...this is the dining spot for YOU!
Overall, the food is quite good. Standouts were the cold Shrimp Cocktail appetizer -- with a trio of delicious sauces! The mix of horseradish in the cocktail sauce was PERFECT. Also the Caramel Bread Pudding (in past years I ordered the Crème Brulee which is exceptional, but wanted to try something new). My dining partner kept "borrowing" spoonfulls of my Bread Pudding, wishing he had ordered it. Each bite of the rich dessert yielded new flavors. It is almost petty to bring up the couple of things which were "less-than-impressive", but the Apple, Walnut, Endive salad was somewhat lacking. Too sparse and not enough vinaigrette. I have had better... The Chocolate Cake with whipped cream was standard fare. Those trifling qualms aside, I will probably be back at Petite Violette to ring in the year 2021.
Great all around
This is a very impressive place. It is unimpressive from the outside but the ambience inside is very pleasant. The bar area is small and the bar tender very friendly. We had a table ( booth ) by the window which was very nice and better than being in the open area. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The menu is varied and has some great choices. I chose the Beef Wellington and my wife had the steak frites. Both were very good ! Overall, I would recommend this place and it is also very good value for money !
I took my dear older friend celebrating her 88th birthday and the Server, Kris, was wonderful and attentive. She made my guest feel special.
The musical entertainment even sang an abbreviated‘Happy Birthday.’
The escargot appetizer was disappointing but the mussels were decent.
My guest loved the Diver Scallops.
I found the Steak Frites (beef tenderloin) to be tender and tasty but nothing special.
Overall a very nice experience, decent food. I would go back but if booked would not be upset to find another place for dinner.
Note: the chef that night was in love with cream sauce on everything
I've been taking guests to Petite Violette since it was Petite Auberge in the 70s and the ambience, food and service have always been consistently excellent.
From entry to exit the whole experience delightful, absolutely no rush, the epitome of French dining, staff excellent. They knew their menu, answered questions professionally and respectfully. Linen and silverware spotless, music very pleasant and non intrusive.
The food was first class, my fish was superb.
Overall an excellent evening.
Thank you all!!
it's a french restaurant and they make lousy french fries
Foood was superb and our server, Carson, was wonderful.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Food and wine was superb. As always great service. Lovely music
Very good authentic French food. Our Server Kristen was amazing. Never had nicer or better service. Best to get there early as on the weekends the restaurant is popular and with good reason.
Excellent food and service. Daily crepes are always great. A little proxy for lunch, but worth it.
Carson is a great waiter. Very personable and at the dame time professional. I’ve been going there for years and it’s always been consistent.
Always a special dining experience. Our server, Carson, was extra special. We will always ask for him, especially for New Year's Eve. Also, the maître d' is always accommodating and friendly. O ne of out favorites.
Another wonderful meal at our neighborhood gem. The food is always great. Tonight, our group started the meal off with a cup of their famous and delicious onion soup topped with parmesan and melted gruyere. Then we had the jumbo diver scallops, beef bourguignon, and the veal scaloppini over spinach ravioli. The place was packed with early holiday parties but the service was friendly, attentive, and spot on! Never a bad meal at Petite Violette.
We have been there several times and many times when it was Petite Violette we love it especially my husband. The only thing we miss is good bread - we live in Chateau Elan so it’s a long way
The scallops were good, but the price was a little high for only four.
The Beef Wellington was okay, but not great. Again the price was a little high.
The salmon was a hit as always.
The waitperson was great, but the meal took too long to be served.
Such a lovely place to dine and visit. The food is always top quality and delicious. We'll be back!
Always a great experience, a total favorite.
Always fresh ingredients, freshly made, and the service and location are great.
Stacy was a wonderful, efficient and friendly server. We'll ask for her again.
Always a great meal here. Variety of menu choices all of which are amazing. One of my favorites.
I had the beef Wellington although it was amazing it still lacked something! Atmosphere was outstanding, overall vibe of this place was great! Im diffinately going back soon!
A great place for a holiday luncheon or dinner. Servers always ready to take photos of the group!
First time dining in this gem of a place! The food was fantastic; and for a French restaurant, the food on the plates were plentiful. The prices were very reasonable too! Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have now found one of my favorite new restaurants and have a new place that I can take my out of town guests to.
The food wasn't as good as the past 4 times we have been.
We were a party of 6 and were provided excellent service . Everyone was pleased with their meal.
Petite Violette is wonderful! From the convenient valet parking to the delicious food, knowledge service and beautiful voice of the soloist, it is a true dining experience! The atmosphere of Petite Violette is calming and gracious. At this Christmas season, it is the perfect place for celebration!
Consistently great! We plan to continue holding our holiday event here.
Stopped by for a late lunch and it was wonderful!
