The atmosphere was warm-cozy and elegant on a very rainy Thursday night. We immediately shed our wet coats and settled in for a perfect dinner. As a bonus, there was live entertainment (French ballads/songs). Our waiter was attentive but did not intrude on or hurry us. The food was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing.
The food was excellent as usual, but the service was very slow and it was not very busy. I had a friend with me on her first visit, and I felt embarrassed about the service after I had bragged on the restaurant so much.
Nice wait staff. Salads looked beautiful. Special of shrimp and grits did not have much grits.
The dinner was amazing. The staff was very active and available. The manager was on the floor and making sure everyone was being well take care of.
The food wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't as good as expected considering the price.
Great service and a delicious meal! Perfect!
We couldn’t make it for Valentines Day but celebrated the Saturday after. We were seated quickly when we arrived. Our server was pleasant and The escargot was perfectly prepared and delicious.
Food was certainly good, but hardly to die for. Prices are reasonable for what is clearly a fine dining venue.
Petite Violet never fails to deliver a great dining experience. We had a perfect Valentines dinner there. Bucause the value is so good we eat there on a regular basis. So glad to have this gem in our neighborhood!
A special Valentine dinner and celebration. Special attention, as usual, from our server, Carson. He is the very best! Dan and Don
A great experience both food and service were excellent
An altogether delightful experience. Even during a very busy Valentine's Day lunch, our server was attentive and helpful. Our food was delicious and very attractively presented. The bread pudding, with an extraordinary vanilla sauce, was a particularly tasty finale. My husband and I love to celebrate special occasions at Petite Violette.
Our waitress was a little lost at the beginning but got her way through a great service. Really good food and ok wine list. Good experience.
Food, staff and ambiance were lovely.
Lovely venue, excellent wait staff and hostesses, delicious and reasonably priced food!
Great drinks at the bar with Karen and food was really good. We were celebrating a birthday and greatly appreciated the bread pudding with a candle.
Wonderful service. Had bison bouergignon and trout and foie gras. Great experience!
I hadn’t been there in years - it was one of my late parents’ favorites. Just as wonderful as I remembered. Charming. Warm and unobtrusive service. Well-priced and delicious, abundant offerings. Good choice of wines by the glass. We'll be back!
This place is a hidden gem. We were in Atlanta for a 3 day business trip and we had dinner here twice. The Escalopes de Veau was amazing. Thank you chef.
The food was delicious and our waiter served our table of 6 perfectly, even splitting multiple items (wine, salads, desserts) between different individuals and doing it perfectly too. One of the few Atlanta restaurants where you can get together with a group of friends and actually hear the conversation. We’re making this our regular restaurant to get together.
We chose the restaurant as it was a halfway point from our respective locations. We had no idea we would have such a wonderful meal - this will now be our regular quarterly meeting place.
The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. Decor is clean and crisp. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before being seated at our table ( which was ready at our reserved time, we chose to delay being seated). The bartender was helpful in suggesting a new wine to try and we bought a fabulous bottle based on his recommendation.
Dinner was delicious. My friend had scallops and I had beef bourginon - both had amazing flavor, were tender and good portion size as well.
We splurged on desserts - cheesecake and profiteroles- well worth the calorie sacrifice.
Our server was friendly but not overbearing, and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed her assisting us throughout the evening.
We had a great dinner, accomplished our needed business tasks, and truly enjoyed our evening.
This would be a perfect spot for a romantic night out. We can’t wait until the weather is nice to try the large outdoor patio.
Petite Violette offers modest upscale dining in NE Atlanta. They have little competition in this neck of the woods. Singer guitarist Ms. Berne Poliakoff is a great provider of quiet yet engaging music. Our waitrons were excellent and pleasant. The wine we had (Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc by the glass) was good. My wife had delicious sea scallops. I, unfortunately, selected the Truite Meuniere/ Amandine (trout almandine) which was too salty and lacking in bulk. I wish I had ordered something else. Dessert (chocolat pot de crème au Grand Marnier for me and Gateau au chocolat sans farine for my wife) was great. The drive-out price was about $150 with tip.
We have dined there many times, and it is probably our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food is consistently excellent, with a wide variety of items, and the service is very good. Plus the place is charming.
Don’t waste your money here. We came to celebrate our anniversary tonight and was never acknowledged for it. The waitress acted as if she just wanted us in and out. Mussels were ok, bread wasn’t too good and the veal was bland and was definitely not worth the price. I could’ve made a way better dinner at home and had a better time celebrating a special occasion than coming here. To top it off, we never got a goodbye from the manager standing at the front when we were leaving. Save your money and go somewhere else.
My wife and I had an excellent dinner at Petite Violette. Immediately, we were welcomed with a smile, able to choose a table to our liking and provided with a waiter who was with us for the entire dinning experience. This was our first time at Petite Violette. The ambiance of the dining experience was excellent, as was our choice of food. When we return we will bring friends.
An excellent lunch venue. We sat at the bar where it was quiet.
Eric was a great server and indulged us in a wine tasting to choose/ Sea bass was a much smaller portion than I recall, but maybe I was just hungry!! Love the place and will return!
Great service! Good food!
Lovely lunch for my birthday.
Service great. Noise level very high. Hard to hear music but performer excellent when we could hear her. Took my children and they loved the food. Had a fantastic bottle of wine too.
I love that the have a “wild” menu. The bison was delicious.
Just a night out with my wife!
We go to this restaurant maybe once every few months, and have always been very satisfied. This time my wife had the scallops, and I had the rack of lamb, and both were scrumptious. For appetizers I had the foie gras, and she had a salad, again, both very good. We brought with us a nice bottle of our own wine, and paid a reasonable corkage fee of $19. Only gave 4 stars for service , because we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table seating. (They were very busy.) Our waitress was very attentive. The live music did raise the energy level. Petite Violette will remainthe on our list of go to restaurants.
Very courteous servers and great food as always. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
My family has been eating here for many years and have always had great service and excellent food. The servers are very friendly and helpful when ordering.
Always a favorite and consistently great experience.
Went for a special occasion, everything was perfect, food, wine, wait staff.
Always lovely. Wonderful ambience, delicious food, charming music. Great evening with family.
