The entire experience was great. I was with two friends and we wanted to talk and eat slowly. Our waitress didn’t push us at all and the food was delicious. I have eaten here many times and will continue to return and spread the word to those who haven’t been here. By the way you must try Dinner and a Diva. A great experience and reasonably priced!
This was my second visit and we were lucky enough to have the same server who was perfect. We were able to leisurely enjoy our delicious meal and never felt rushed. Will return soon.
PV has been my go to eatery for over 20 YEARS. Lunches and dinners, never disappointed. Its newer rendition is just as fine with its long history of the same and some new very fine dishes, although a few more gluten free choices would NOW be much appreciated. Wine choices are always the best in Atlanta. Service is attentive and knowledgeable. It's perfectly French!
I've been to Petite Violette many times over the years and I have seen it deteriorate right before my eyes. My trip yesterday was the worst, when I took five of my colleagues to lunch. First of all, the service was as slow as it's ever been. I don't know if the waitress was simply overloaded or just inattentive. But we had to wait for everything. Secondly, the noise level is such that you can't even hear the people at your own table. Then there's the menu and the food. Having lived in France, I am probably more critical than most, but if you're going to bill yourself as a French restaurant, have a French person review your menu to make sure it's not rife with mistakes as Petite Violette's is. Also, this restaurant doesn't even pretend to serve authentic French food. They've taken a bunch of French menu items and given them a decidedly American twist. The food is fine, but if you think you're going for bona fide French food, think again. Topping off an extremely uninspiring lunch, I watched as the valet tore up two extremely expensive wheel rims by driving up against the curb. I probably could have pressed it, but I felt so sorry for the kid, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Clearly, he needs to be assigned to duties other than driving a car. Next time I'm looking for good food, I'll probably go somewhere else. And if you go to Petite Violette yourself, park your own car.
It was fine . The wienersnitzel was more heavily breaded and a bit dry. Trout was delicious.
Service was wonderful & food was really good. It's an expensive lunch but not for a seated meal. Great place for a business lunch.
Great food. Not as busy as expected.👍👍👍👍✊. Expect too spend a couple 100$.
I had not been in a while and it was even better than I remembered.
My wife and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary with these fine folks. The service and food were outstanding (and we are accustomed to fine dining); but we especially appreciated how the server took extra steps to make our evening special by notifying the live soft jazz trio of our special evening.
This is the place to take your special person in that special day!
Petite Violette is where my husband and I got married a year ago. The food and service are always outstanding. Have not had anything on the menu that I did not absolutely love. We are seriously considering eating dessert first on our next visit and working the meal backwards to the soup. ALWAYS have the Creme Brulee!
Great service great food relaxed and pleasant ambiance
I thought that some of the entrees were a bit expensive. Service was very good. Will likely return.
Always enjoy the excellent food and quiet ambiance at this understated gem of a restaurant
The hardest part of dining here was choosing what to order! Everything on the menu looked delicious, and our server's descriptions were mouth-watering. This was my first visit, and I decided within a few minutes of tasting my salad that I would make Petite Violette my new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to go back (unfortunately I live 900 miles away) to try more dishes on the menu!
Excellent food and service. Very agreable atmosphere and quiet. One could actually talk.
Every plate served was very well presented and the cookibg was excepcional. We will certainly go back and for sure it is in my favourite french restaurant in Atlanta
Vivian our server was outstanding. Food was fabulous. Everything we had from the appetizers to the entrees were exceptional. This ranks as one of my favorite restaurants.
Very nice experience. Food was outstanding and there was live entertainment.
We had dinner here on Monday night, which was not very busy. We were promptly seated. The food was outstanding, although the Bavarian Platter did not quite match up with the menu. My wife really liked the chicken cordon bleu. The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering. She was very professional. It was a great evening. For what you get, the value of this place is excellent.
All of the food that we ordered was outstanding. My husband and I split the Petite Auberge salad which was plenty. It was different and delicious. I had the Sea Bass which I loved especially with the yummy sauce. He had a Bavarian platter with Weiner Schnitzel which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our server was friendly and took great care of us without hovering. We can't wait to return!
Delicious food and excellent service. Beef Wellington was amazing! Suggest trying the bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert. This was my birthday dinner and we could not have picked a better place.
The food is phenomenal! We had Beef Wellington, duck breast and lamb. It was the first dinner where all of us finished our dinner. Service was fantastic! Our server took very good care of us and the owners even stopped by to ensure we were having a good time. Petite Violette truly is a hidden gem!
I had a wonderful dinner and want to thank both the owner for his personal visit to my table inquiring about my dinner experience, and the excellent service members.
Perfect lunch spot
WE come to Atlanta about 4 times a year on business. We do love to get out to the restaurant anytime we get the chance. The staff is so kind and attentive and the food never diapoints;
Look forward to our next trip.
I was surprised the nobody in the restaurant acknowledged that we were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary plus I felt rested by out server.
We had three couples and were celebrating a birthday. We had a WONDERFUL dinner - the food and service were excellent! There was live music - which was lovely, and it wasn't overly loud! We all remarked on how wonderful it was to have the live music and still be able to easily hear each other!!! The desserts were fabulous - try the Apple Tart - it is so light and lovely :-)
39th wedding anniversary
Having dined at Petite Auberge many times I was excited to bring a client to Petite Viollette. It was disappointing from the wait to limited waitress visits but especially the food. Not the quality or service I have experienced in the past.
The food was excellent! Good prices for an elegant meal
We had the most pleasant and most gracious server. Our dinners were good as they consistently are. We were there to talk and catch up and enjoy each other's company, and nothing intruded, especially not noise level or service. This is the main reason our group meets at Petite Violette every time we get together.
My wife and I really did enjoy dinner there! Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly!
We used to frequent Violette often under the old management and chef in years past but have
not been back in some time. Although the menu does not change often and prices have gone up
a good deal (steel competitive for what you get) This visit was really great. Seems like they definitely
cater to an older crowd for the most part so the ambiance certainly is not "edgy" but the food is
far better than many "trendy" places.
I had the duck breast and it was amazing, well prepared and a great value for only $25. My main complaint (as it has always been) is that the wine list is not in sync with the food value / prices.
Offering a few lower priced options on wine or house specials would be a great change. We started
going to Violette when it was in the original Briarcliff location...it was great, affordable "French Home
Cooking" back then..but time marches on and change happens..Aside from the expensive wine offerings
still a wonderful place for lunch or dinner
As has been our experience in the past, both the service level and food were excellent. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Decatur and Brookhaven areas.
Food was amazing but our server was very inattentive. The host tried to help out but it was evident she was over her head
The service was very timely and efficient. We ordered the beef wellington, grilled salmon and Chilean sea bass. Everyone's dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
We had a wonderful lunch. The food was delicious and the service attentive. I recommend the trout. The restaurant is lovely inside. You’d never know you were on Clairmont Rd.
Delicious meals! The music made it a little difficult to hear.
Everything was amazingly delicious.
Wow this place was great. The food was awesome and the price was very reasonable. The service was great the servers were very friendly and knowledgeable on there dishes and wine. Would definitely recommend this place!
