Love this place!! Food is amazing!!!!
Very flavorless, low quality food. Both the shrimp and steak fajitas were way over cooked. Cocktails were not very good. The place looks like a divey Mexican restaurant in South Austin, but without the great flavors. With all the great Mex food in LA, there’s no reason to come here.
Very disappointing.
Was lovely considering the current situation in la . Food was good and atmosphere nice .
Don’t order the chicken fajitas - not sizzling - not fresh - more like fajitas you would get in first class on a delta flight
Great little go-to! Amazing margaritas too.
Greeted welcomely by the restaurant manager and sat right away. My dear friends were visiting and I wanted a place that had good spacing and tasty food. We were well taken care off, the guacamole and queso were delicious (recommended by manager), margaritas were good and overall experience was memorable. We’ll be back!
Food is served hot and service is prompt and professional.
We got there 20 mins late & Patrick took the best care of us. He went above & beyond to find a table to seat us at. He had already given away our table since we were late so he really didn’t have to do anything. But he offered us margaritas & ended up finding us a table. Will def be back!
Food was beyond basic, we didn’t even eat half of the stuff they brought out .. service sucked :(
Great dinner spot. Love that they are using poppy’s seating area.
Good vibes all around
Date night with husband
Such a perfect place for a date night. Ambiance was perfect, food was amazing and a great value regarding portion size.
It's a fun spot to grab some drinks with friends in a nice ambiance, but the food is average. Think $10+ guac and a plate of tacos for almost $20. Nonetheless, this is a busy spot and has very hWood group vibes: instagram-heavy crowd, good but $$$ drinks, and a tinge of exclusivity. Our server was attentive and very nice, and the host was pretty chill. It's a fun place to kick back in a COVID-friendly outdoor environment.
The service was terrible, food and drinks were delayed and half items ordered forgotten. My friend had to take her food home because it was brought out literally as we finished up. Manager was not nice and did not take care of anything... it’s not about getting anything for free more the principal of stepping up and being a human and being kind. Food tasted like it was from a fast food place. I was beyond disappointed and will never go again :(
It was a horrible experience.
We had an 8:30 reservation. 9:30 rolled around and we still hadn’t been seated or asked if we wanted drinks or anything.
The food finally came after we had to hunt down a waiter to order and the food was TERRIBLE quality. Overall really sad experience.
Outdoor Covid dining done right. Cute ambiance, clean, great food and actually felt like a bit of a normal dining experience. Service was a tad slow but I think the servers didn’t quite know when to come because there were no menus (QR codes used for less touching). Overall fun date night experience. Will be back.
Highly lights: guacamole, street corn and fajitas very tasty
Lows: meat portion of fajitas very small and taqueria
Grata value and atmosphere!
Food and drinks were excellent! The staff was attentive and our server made great recommendations. The environment felt very safe in terms of social distancing measures taken. Would highly recommend!
Not the best experience. We had a 9pm reservation however we didn’t get seated until 9:50. The hosts offered comp drinks to these two wonder girls that were ahead of us but tried to send us to another busy restaurant to get comp drinks from a connection he had there. Not sure why we didn’t receive the same treatment. Food was decent especially for the price.
First, I understand circumstances with Covid have made dining out hard on many restaurants. However we had a reservation for 7:30 but did not get seated till 8. The host was extremely rude which was a turn off but the food was good which made up for it. Seating with a bit close for Covid standard and felt uncomfortable with how they tried to squeeze small parties together. Would I go back? Probably not. Better Mexican food/ margaritas for less $ and better service.
Food was good! Smaller portions for more $$ but that's what this kind of place is. Food was really flavorful. Service weird. A little slow, only 1 server on on a week day night, so she was definitely trying. Just when we got our bill, a lot of the things we ordered from the menu did not match the price on the actual bill. So another weird thing. May come back if in area, but I think first impressions are important, and this was not the best.
I had a great experience in my recent trip to LA. Not much was open at the time due to covid so I appreciated this cozy spot with great music and artsy atmosphere and an even better staff.
The host gave our table to another group. The host laughed it away unprofessionally. After waiting for 40 minutes we got seated we did not receive any menus. The waiter gave us complimentary drinks to apologize, this was later put on our bill. When the shared food arrived, we were not given personal plates, silverware, or water. The staff paid no attention to us whatsoever. They did not tell us that the kitchen was closing so we could not order enough food. Extremely bad service. Then it took 20 more minutes to pay the bill. We went to Petite regularly before but it will take a while before we will be back.
No presence at the door - sat almost 25 minutes past reservation with no acknowledgement from any level of staff member. Water and a greet from a service member took over 10 minutes. Honestly an embarrassment for the owners and entire staff. Manager should be fired for lack of respect towards establishment - completely abandoned his door and the entire space seemed disfunctional and in need of a solid leader / manager.
Will not be back and will not recommend.
Food was great for the price, sizeable portions, & my cocktail was delicious. I had steak nachos & my partner the steak tacos. As for dessert the churro wasn't crunchy at all, more on the soft side. They're a bit understaffed, but very kind people. I really appreciate that the staff speaks Spanish.
Great server
During covid we ate outside. Small area, music was a bit loud for a weeknight during dinner hours. Food was good but menu seems limited. Great spicy margarita.
Great food and very friendly staff. The drinks make the bill really expensive.
Love Petite Taqueria! The other seating area is small and intimate, great date night spot. Food was excellent as well.
Was not open for dine in
Food was good, as usual. Service was terrible. Slow and items were forgotten.
The outdoor patio was nice, good amount of room between tables. There was plenty of street parking (only the patio was open so that likely had a bit to do with it). The spicy margarita was out of this world! Maybe the best I’ve had! I had the mushroom taco and taco salad and both were delicious. Overall, my experience was well beyond my expectations and I’m looking forward to going back there soon.
Beautiful resturant stylistically.
Horrible service. I went for a double birthday party. Do NOT host your bday there. We had about 8/9 people with us. We sat down at 8, our drinks didnt arrive for 40 minutes. We had to incessantly check in again and again where our drinks were. Our order wasnt taken for an hour. All of the appetizers came with the food- all of which came out over 2.5 hours after we sat down. Our orders were WRONG! Beans in things that were requested to not have beans. And not even to mention the two birthday orders came out much later. Out waitress had to ask us what we even ordered to put the order in again as if it was missed. We were late for our next event. And not to mention, the manager Micah- was such a disrespectful deceitful person. Micah laughed in out faces when we told him how horrible the service was and asked for our meal to be comped as thats the least he could do. He pointed at us from across the room and laughed at us. How rude? How disrespectful? That’s not how you run a resturant. Terrible resturant. We felt as if we were held hostage. Not even to mention all of the massive party tables with skinny white women, were served immediately with minimal wait. Do not go to this resturant. We were there from 8-11 and lost our entire evening. Complete waste of time and money. Worst birthday ever.
Food on point. Restaurant was a little too loud, but food was free so I can’t complain.. except about the company. Actually, no comment.
I would definitely go back. What more can I say?
First off the service and the front was excellent. They attended to every need. The tortillas were the best I’ve ever had. That’s where it peaked for me. I have the taco salad that was less than appetizing. The other guests enjoyed their meals but I left mine. You can see anything in the restaurant. And there was an obnoxious table next to us. The scourge of me. I would go back for the tortillas and try something else.
amazing service and food love this place! the location and vibe are perfect
Wet, bland food.
